Unbearable
Long 20 minute dangerous hairpin trip up narrow road, no cell service, no lock on door to keep strangers out of room, a mist shower that took 15 minutes to wet hair until it shut off mid shower--had to fill coffee cup in sink to get soap out of eyes, water cooler with no water and a sign to fill hydroflask from sink but sink too small to fit flask under..had to use tub faucet (water was brownish). No curtain on guest window so sun wakes you up (but every other room had curtains). Kitchenette in small room with angles walls so hit my head 12 times trying to get supplies (had to kneel to avoid low ceiling). Shower head low, had to angle all the way up and bend backwards to wet hair. Admonished to close doors quietly, no sound between 10pm and 8am, yet at 7am grandkids screaming and woke us up. No cell sevice so could not contact loved ones to share travel experience or load directions for travel. No tv though all others had it. Only one bathroom for 5 guests/renters. Had to wait 30-60 minutes to use the bathroom in the morning. Supposed 2nd bathroom locked the entire 7 days we were there. Told no food in room while renters cooking and taking food into rooms. Lumpy bed gave me backache. Ants in bed. Could not take a hot bath as tub plug broken and dangling. Owners did fix shower pressure after it shut off and I complained. Pretty spooky being cut off from communication with strangers peeking out doors with no outer lock on room to protect valuables and only a push button inner lock with just the little hole on outside door knob that anyone could open with a thin object pushed in. No offer of compensation. No hospitality or welcoming. Like living in a library. Who vacations and is in bed asleep by 10pm? Doesn't even get dark till 930pm. The bathroom situation and no curtains was a real trial and caused suffering along with no cell service.
