Perfect location for visting the castles

The house is perfectly located for a visit of the main castles at the Loire. A nice Botanic Garden is just across the street. Organisation and welcome by Ludo was extremly friendly and professional.

A great surprise

We felt we booked a nice place to stay in Tours, however when got there it was far larger and more than we expected. The place was very clean and very organized. We want to thank Jacques for the great stay and would recommend it as great value.

Calme et fonctionnel

Notre séjour s'est bien passé, bien au calme. Maison fonctionelle, de l'espace et bien équipé. Lave linge avec le seche linge bien appréciable. Un point bien central pour les chateaux de la loire, les zoos et la découverte des vignobles. Merci a Ludo le co-host pour ses conseils et son suivi, a bientot j'espère. Merci

Excellent séjour

La maison est grande, propre et très bien équipée avec un agréable petit jardin et surtout l'endroit est extrêmement calme. Le propriétaire était absent mais la jeune femme qui a nous a reçu a été charmante et nous a tout expliqué. Excellent point de chute pour visiter les châteaux de la Loire.

Surprising location with nearby park

There's lots of room and it is easy to access both Tours and the Chateaux. Jacques has more than the ordinary gite material as it is his home. We enjoyed our stay and found 'living' in Tours quite nice.

The place had plenty of room and everything needed for the comfort of home. We visited six different Châteaus in the area using this place as our base. And Jacques is a super nice guy!

Verrückter Start, aber gutes Ende

Jaques hatte sich um einen Tag in unserer Ankunftszeit vertan. Konnten ihn aber dann mit Hilfe seines netten Nachbarn Vorort aktivieren. Er war zutiefst betrübt, dass er sich um einen Tag vertan hatte. Brachte die Wohnung so schnell es ging in einen, für uns bewohnbaren Zustand. OK, man muss leider sagen, das vorher nicht durch die Wohnung geputzt werden konnte, was aus Zeitgründen auch nicht mehr möglich war. Sonst kann man der Wohnung nur ein Lob ausstatten. Es ist alles vorhanden und Jaques hat auch sofort reagiert, wenn wir was hatten. Kann auf jeden Fall die Wohnung und auch den Gastgeber empfehlen. Ein bisschen chaotisch aber absolut liebenswert. Die geplante Fototour Schlösser an der Loire konnten wir sehr gut machen und es sind viele schöne Bilder entstanden. Also jederzeit gerne wieder. Ulrike und Dieter

A perfect house — it has everything one needs...! A+++

Jacques and Martine, my sisters and I appreciated all the amenities your lovely home offered. Your tutorial upon arrival was excellent. We loved our walks into Tours, especially since the Gare de Tours is so accessible — we went to Chenonceaux and Amboise, an easy 25-minute train ride. We had a great week all told. Also, the crêpes in Tours are the best...!

Lovely, comfortable, convenient home in the La Riche section of Tours, France

Jacques and Martine, your house was spotless, comfortable and well-equipped. A first floor sofa converted to a comfortable bed for my elderly Mom, and there was a bathroom on the same floor for her, with a toilet and sink. Upstairs are two bedrooms with queen beds; a full bathroom with toilet, tub/shower and double sinks; plus another standing shower and sink. Large kitchen and living area, including a large dining room table. Parking is convenient on a driveway. There is a cozy backyard garden with a picnic table, and even a barbecue grill. Magnifique! Jack, you were so very helpful in adapting things to be better suited to my 88-year-old mother, so that she could enjoy her stay in safety and comfort, and again at our departure, helping us navigate a few matters at the train station and car rental. You did all of it with your infectious smile and seemingly perpetual good cheer. Thank you so much for your hospitality. You are charming people, and I shall consider you both friends. I highly recommend your VRBO, and I hope we can meet again - whether on my side of the Atlantic or yours ! Au revoir!

Super accueil!

Nous avons été très bien accueillis par notre gentil hôte qui a veillé à ce que nous ne manquions de rien et qui nous a même offert un cadeau de bienvenue! La maison est très bien équipée et très propre. Elle est située dans une impasse éloignée des routes passantes donc très calme. Une multitude de choses sont mises à disposition, ce qui est un vrai plus : serviettes de toilette, thé/café, condiments etc. La maison n'est pas située dans le centre mais on y est en 5 mn en voiture et aucune difficulté pour se garer, même dans le vieux Tours. Jardin botanique à 2mn à pied. Très bien pour un séjour en famille.

Nous faisons, comme pour nous, de ce que l'on souhaite trouver en arrivant dans une maison, dans un lieu. L'accueil est très important et souvent les voyageurs arrivent fatigués du voyage et s'inquiètent de ce qu'ils peuvent trouver. Nous sommes là pour les rassurer. Bonne continuation. Au plaisir de vous revoir dans notre maison, avec vos 2 petites filles si mignonnes... ou avec un couple d'amis par exemple. C'est bien aussi lorsque l'on est parent de partir en WE en couple. It was a lovely house in a very quiet residential area of Tours.

We were very warmly Welcomed by the owners who took a lot of trouble showing us all the amenity of the house and ensuring we had everything we wanted. They had kindly left us a bottle of wine and some beers as well as tea coffee and milk. The house was beautifully presented and very comfortable to live in with a very pretty garden that we used a lot. In all this was a very successful stay for us and we would thoroughly recommend it

Week-end bien sympathique.
