Excellent Stay

We brought our youth group here for our annual summer retreat. This place fit all of our needs perfectly. Everyone had a place to sleep, the house was stocked with more than enough utensils and supplies to make meals for a group of 18 seem easy, and the grounds made for a welcomed change-of-pace. Would definitely recommend!

Very enjoyable time in a historical setting, namely, a mansion that is a fascinating an adventure house for 13 grandchildren!

It was a wonderful experience to live in a beautiful and artistic historic mansion and get a rare glimpse into how the affluent may have lived many decades ago. There was plenty of space for our group of 12 adults and 3 children. The music room was a delight and the dining sunroom overlooking the Mississippi River was our favorite for dining. The hosts provided good instructions while moving in and were very accommodating with our requests. The kitchen is well stocked and a bbq grill was made available to us on asking. The town center is close by and a park and dam are within walking distance. The town was surprisingly sparsely populated over the July 4th weekend. Note that with an historic house comes some minor issues such as bath fixtures which were a bit difficult to open and close. All in all, we had a wonderful time at the Musser mansion and would highly recommend.
