The house was just the right size for us and our Golden….everything clean and working….Rose had it ready to walk in and just start relaxing…we had no problems….loved the quiet neighborhood……saw Rose several times as she came to pick up her mail from the box….always eager to help us if we needed anything….great stay
We enjoyed our extended vacation on the secret coast and felt right at home immediately. Rose is a pleasure and sees to every need quickly. We are golfers and foodies. We appreciated the binder of restaurants and other information. The Dish channel package is impressive. My husband and I had simultaneous Zoom calls with no problem. The Wi-Fi did not disappoint. There are ample linen and kitchen essentials. We will definitely rent again.

Diamondhead is Awesome!
If you are looking for a safe and friendly area near lots of activities and golf, Diamondhead is for you. We lived in Diamondhead part-time for ten years. Now, we want to spend several months there per year and we rented Geographer's Cottage to try it out before renting it long-term. First, the PROS. The house is well-stocked with lots of towels, pots and pans, and dishes. Some canned food and non-perishables. Quiet neighborhood. Close to library, shopping, golf, walking path, pools, etc. but you will need a car. Comfortable furniture in the living room and kitchen nook. We used our laptop on the kitchen table. Wifi and television in living room were excellent! [Did not use other two televisions.] Kitchen is big and lots of counter space. CONS: The owner asked us to check in late, as the previous renters who left at 11:00 left a mess that did not allow for a 5:00 check-in. I felt sorry for her because she explained the challenges and there is only so much you can do in a six-hour clean-up. The house overall is in need of repair and regular maintenance. Pine straw in the gutters, grime around door entry and interior garage doors, flowerbeds full of weeds, mold growing on the vinyl siding, and rusty outdoor furniture. Some minor repairs included a dryer that does not shut off, dripping cold water in the hall bathroom that was turned off under the sink, a microwave over the stove that is duct-taped shut [although there is a working one on the counter], broken ice maker [but owner supplied a bag of ice],and accumulated dust in the master bedroom, first hall bedroom, and hall bathroom. No mattress pad on king bed. The hall tub had long black hair on the bottom and the floor was not clean. We were sympathetic to the homeowner, who explained the situation to us. However, with CV-19 increasing, we cleaned up ourselves with products brought from home and found around the house. We did not eat any of the open food in the refrigerator [jelly, sauces, frozen foods] but there were there nonetheless just in case.
We could not have been more pleased with the Geographer's Cottage. It was exactly as advertised, clean, plenty of the necessities for a lengthy stay, and Rose was responsive and courteous.
Diamondhead is such a wonderful community because of people like Rose...her place was a perfect spot for our 3 week trip. Thanks, Rose, for sharing it with us.
Ms Rose was amazing. She was kind and addressed any concerns we had right away.
Overall a good experience and perfect for us while we were there.

My stay
The house is quaint..the a/c can't keep up with the heat so you need window units and fans and it's still warm mid afternoon..Rose tried..she had the unit worked on the night before we arrived ..I'm not sure what the problem was..we killed a couple roaches also..I have asked for a refund but have received no response from Rose..we will see..the kitchen is beautiful..
Suggestion...if advertising sleeping 6 or 5 have 4 singles instead of doubles. If you have Male golfers standing this would be a better accommodations...thx

The home was charming and situated in a quiet neighborhood. We were thoroughly satisfied with our stay at the Geographer's Cottage. Rose was wonderful to work with and we highly recommend her property for your stay on the Mississippi Gulf Coast!
