Makani Sands #110 is an air conditioned, direct ocean front, 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom condominium. Located on the ground floor, you can walk right out to the lawn, patio, and beach. Take advantage of nights at home by barbequing fresh island fish on the patio. Indoors, there is a full kitchen with granite counter tops, dining room table for four plus two bar stools. The comfortable living area faces oceanside. On the outdoor lanai, there is a dinner table for six, which is also perfect for watching sunsets, whales, and turtles. Floors are travertine tile throughout. The master bedroom has a king bed, and the guests bedroom can be set up for either two twins or a king size bed. Blissful paradise

The location, ease of check in, friendliness of staff, having AC option as well as 2 bathrooms (lifesaver with girls!) was just awesome. The sunsets are perfection. The turtles that swim thru all day are just the cutest! Overall GREAT option to stay!

The sound of ocean waves every night!

Beautiful, cozy two bedroom condo right on the beach. All the comforts of home to enjoy your stay. The property has posted quiet hours which quests observed. Very enjoyable space away from the resort traffic but very close to anything you would want or need while vacationing.

Great Spot for Beach and Sunsets

This is a great location for beach goers. We used the beach, plus used the location as a base camp for thebroad to Hana and the national park. The condo was clean amd as advertised. This place has epic sunsets. The beds were comfortable as well as the furniture. I highly recommend this condo.

Awesome view!

Everything was amazing. Couldn’t ask for a better location. Close to grocery store and restaurants. There was enough beach to get into the ocean. Eels and turtle sightings daily. The unit was stocked with beach towels flippers and beach items (chair umbrella cooler) the kitchen was also well stocked! There was even a blender. The fridge was empty and clean. I would definitely stay here again. It would also be great for young kids.

Everything we needed was available - except the Microwave did not work. A minor inconvenience for sure. We love eating on the patio and the BBQ ‘s were clean and easy to use. We can recommend this property easily. The ocean, the turtles, the pool, the view, the clean condo and grounds. Who could want more? Thanks to the condo owners for sharing. It is a beautiful place.

Reviewer Comments: Overall great~ And all of us were happy ~ the only, only reason for less than 5 , is there was still construction going on and one of the days there was the pounding of Jack hammers for a while ~ and the access to the water was blocked off , which may have been a decision breaker had I known, but the condo itself, was great , didn’t need anything more ~ very clean, very accommodating..... I think it was the gardner/maintenance guy, he was the one very helpful on site ~

Maui Stay

The condo is cramped for 5 people. The couch is older and not that comfortable. The 2 swivel chairs are in need of replacement. It was difficult for our family of 5 to sit and watch TV together. The picture of the beach was taken at the low tide which lasts for about an hour, otherwise the water is hitting the sea wall and not real safe to get in the water. The master shower is very small and cramped. The kitchen is well stocked and even had a number of spices. The office personnel are very nice but the office is closed on the weekends which is difficult if you need supplies or assistance. The 2nd bedroom has twin beds which are small, my 17 yr old boys were hanging off the edge. The master bedroom could use nightstands. We enjoyed our stay in Maui but we would stay in a different condo next time especially with the cost per night being pretty expensive.

Reviewer Comments: My wife and I wanted to celebrate our 15 yr anniversary back in Maui, where we originally had our honeymoon. We brought our kids with us and wanted a location where you have clear view of the ocean from your room. We found the Makani Sands and it was great. The room we stayed was clean, full kitchen, easy access to the grill, a quick walk right outside to the ocean. It was perfect. One thing that really sucked was the parking. I guess they were doing some construction and the parking was very limited. As I mentioned, the room we had, ‘RM 110, was the perfect spot. It had everything we needed as well, from kitchen supplies, clean fridge, oven, utensils, literally everything. The walk right outside was a few steps to the edge of the sea. The first two days we were there we got to see a few sea turtles. People were very kind and courteous.The ONLY thing that ruined our stay was that our rental car was keyed from side to side. We had no place to park so we parked in the managers parking , which I notified him, and he replied it was ok, but come to find the next morning our rental car had huge scratches from the drivers side panel, to the back, to the passenger side panel. I don’t know who or why they would do this as we had been friendly with everyone. It really bothered me as I thought we were in a nice safe place, but brought out some uncertainty. I did not let it get to me and we went on about our trip. It’s just sketchy that someone would do that to our car in the parking lot.I also wanted to add that we found a cockroach by the bed on our last day there. Thankfully it was on our last day or none of us would have slept well knowing there are roaches.Otherwise, this place was amazing to stay at!

Beach stay

We had a great stay and recommend this property. Our first impression was the property and condo were dated, we got quickly past this. The condo is in a great area near beaches and restaurants. The back door opens to the ocean and we saw turtles every day. Everything, except for the washer worked. The local staff was very friendly and helpful.

If you enjoy snorkeling and an prestige view of the ocean this is the place! The land scaping is amazing too! I have been staying here since 2000 and have no desire to stay anywhere else.
