About this property

A comfortable well appointed one bedroom apartment in a single family home located in Newton Center, MA. Walk to restaurants, shops, Whole Foods and public transportation. Separate entrance through a sunny vestibule overlooking a landscaped garden. Off street parking.

Public amenities within a short walk include Cold Spring Park with fitness trail and tennis courts, Crystal Lake for swimming, the Newton Public Library and public transportation. The bus stop is at the corner of our block and there are two train stations within a 10 minute walk. One stop takes you to the Chestnut Hill sopping district with major retailers and entertainment venues, and gyms. The Newton Center neighborhood shopping district offers many restaurants, banks, drug stores and boutique retailers. The train ride to downtown Boston takes thirty minutes.

The suite has an ample living/dining area with a couch, easy chair, tables chairs and TV. The large bedroom has a kingsize bed, night tables, a couch, desk and dresser. A newly installed modern kitchen has a sink, dishwasher, refrigerator microwave with exhaust and a laundry. There is plenty of storage space in the kitchen cabinets and shelves. The private bathroom has a vanity, shower and hair dryer.

Guests can enjoy the owners' lovingly landscaped garden that has a furnished patio, a trellis and barbeque.

Perfect place for our visit to NE

The well appointed basement unit served as a fantastic, centrally located place for our first trip to Boston and the greater NE area. Unit was spotlessly clean and well equipped - especially the kitchen, should you choose a meal in. Owners well wonderful, helpful, and answered all questions within minutes. Extremely cordial and friendly. Highest recommendation without reservation.

This property is well equipped and close to everything. Walking to commuter rail will get you to downtown in 20-25 minutes. Newton Center is a lovely village and easily walked to (about one half mile). Hosts live on site and are very helpful. This is a basement apartment with a private entrance.

Just Perfect!

I was in town for work in Newton and stayed for a week, loved it! It was extremely clean, very cozy and had everything I needed. Having a washer and dryer in the unit was a huge plus. It is in a great location with a Whole Foods within walking distance & in a nice quiet neighborhood. The hosts were wonderful and very quick to respond. I highly recommend staying here and will definitely stay here for future work trips.

We had not been to the Boston area in ten years, and were looking forward to a family reunion, our stay was three weeks. This was a good experience, the unit was spotless clean, well furnished, nicely decorated, large rooms with lots of storage, a very comfortable apartment. Newton, a very nice suburb of Boston, a lovely, safe area to be in, which is a concern when you're traveling to a strange area. The Landscaping and patio are beautiful, nice place to enjoy the outdoors and we did. It's close to everything, Whole Foods, and nice restaurants, we didn't have to use transportation but it was easily accessible. A bathroom fan broke and our host, Aberto, repaired it immediately. This is a basement apartment, the picture shown is not the rental unit itself but a storage shed at the back of the property. We used the portable heater and a dehumidifier was available if needed. The entrance is through a back door vestibule leading to both the first floor and the basement apartment. The mention of the stairs was not made clear. We are in our 80's, use canes and stairs are always difficult. These steps are narrow, short and very steep, I have a small foot and it was not possible to walk straight down the staircase, I had to go down sideways, my tall husband and brother also had a hard time. There is a railing but it was big problem for us and the lock is awkward, it's located on the top of the door. I must say this was the only down side for us. I would highly recommend this rental, it's safe, large, clean, has good storage, and very comfortable. We enjoyed our stay and will perhaps visit again. Sierra Madre, California

Excellent location and setting, reasonably well appointed apartment. It is in the basement and a dehumidifier was essential given the rains.

Restful retreat in Newton

This location was great for us! We enjoyed being near our college age daughter's campus. Having many restaurants and Whole Foods close by was fantastic after having long days. The apartment had a great kitchen, washer and dryer and a comfortable area to relax at the end of the day. The bedroom was quite large with a nice bed. We had a great visit and look forward to returning soon!
