PRIVATE LAKE PROPERTY: The Sunrise Lake House - soft sand and relaxation

The lake views are SPECTACULAR! This is a private lake property located on two acres with direct, private access to soft sand, and your much needed fun in the sun. The lake can be viewed, without obstruction, from multiple rooms within the home. There's no bluff so there's no need to climb down steep stairs to access the beach area. Everyone of all ages will be able to enjoy the lake, together!

The cottage has an OPEN CONCEPT layout, and is WELL MAINTAINED with modern accommodations, specifically set up for a relaxing getaway and enjoyment by the lake. Imagine waking up to a beautiful sunrise every morning and having your coffee with your toes in the sand. The beautiful sunrise is why we named this place the Sunrise Lake House.

The cottage is very well stocked with many amenities so there's less you have to pack or remember to bring. The house uses city water and also includes a water filtration system for the purest drinking water which comes out of its own drinking spout accessible from the kitchen. The cottage includes free Wi-Fi, flat screen TVs, a coffee station, washer/dryer, outdoor grill, beach toys, and games for both children and grown ups, a fire pit, indoor/outdoor dining areas, bath towels, beach towels, bed linens, and even a pack 'n play (with sheets and mattress), just to name a few of the amenities.

This lake house is walking distance from restaurants, a historic museum, a public basketball court, tennis court, the Port Sanilac Harbor and a children's playground, (which you can get to by walking along the beach)! Also, nearby, is downtown Lexington, a 15 min. drive to cute boutiques for shopping and additional restaurants.

There is also a small but well stocked grocery store and gas station right across the street for your convenience, and plenty of access to a number of ice cream parlors. I know how valuable your time is especially your time spent with friends and family. My goal is to provide a wonderful experience for you and your guests while at the lake property and to help slow down time during your stay (figuratively speaking of course since I'm unable to physically alter time) so you can focus on relaxing, having fun and creating great memories.

Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
Strip all the bed linen from any used beds and leave it in that room.
Make sure all doors and windows are closed and locked.
Make sure fireplace is off (note: there will be a small blue flame located beneath the logs. That's the pilot and stays on).
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
This is a strict NO smoking property. This includes smoking, vaping, marijuana and cannabis products.
Do not wear shoes inside the home.

Check-in was easy enough with a lockbox/key, and the kitchen was well appointed with the basics. The beds were comfortable and the linens were cozy. The views were wonderful, and the amenities for enjoying on the beach were great! Plenty of activities for kids, both inside and out!

We come to Port Sanilac every summer to enjoy Lake Huron and this is our favorite place to stay. It’s very clean, very accommodating, the beds are comfy, there’s a gas station/market directly across the street and the views are absolutely perfect!! There’s a reason it’s called The Sunrise Lake House…you’ll have to wake up at sunrise to find out for yourself! We would definitely stay again and again!

Amazing experience

Awesome house and an outstanding host! The location is perfect with easy beach access. The house was large enough for our family to have some space and be able to relax when inside.The beach area is large and you can walk the beach in both directions.The house was impeccably clean and had pretty much every amenity you could think of.

Beautiful Lake House

House with all the perks

The host takes particular care to make you feel pampered...stocked coffee bar, snacks, firewood for smores making and all the water toys you could hope fir. We loved paddle boarding and soaking up the sun while listening to the waves.

Wonderful week with family

We had a wonderful time watching the sun come up every morning, playing in the sand with our two grandchildren, making s’mores at night in the fire pit. Awesome Girls Weekend

This is a beautiful house with lots of room, an amazing view and attention to details to make you feel welcomed. From the welcome basket with smores ingredients, the fruit bowl that included lemons and limes, the amazing coffee bars, the entertainment areas for kids of all ages to the comfortable beds after all the fun of the day. This home has it all! The host was very communicative. Location is close to lots of things to see and do. Overall, a great experience!

This property is stunning!! Every possible amenity is provided!! Beds are extremely comfortable!!! Tons of rafts, lawn games, kayak,paddle boards, life jackets, toys... Extended Family Lake House Weekend

10 of us - 6 adults and 4 teens had a wonderful long weekend at this lake house. The view is amazing, the house was beautiful and close to town and Lexington. The host is very helpful and there was great communication. So many things for the kids and adults to do while at the house. Would definitely recommend to others and would stay again !

Breathtaking Property!

This property was out of this world! Very beautifully decorated in each and every room, and so many thoughtful touches, from the basket of goodies, to the bottle of Proseco, to the endless coffee choices and supplies. Mattress comfort is always a make it or break it for me, and the beds were by far the best of any rental/hotel room anywhere. EVER! The beach setting is perfect, and with all the provided water toys, you really don't even need to leave the property to have loads of fun. This is without a doubt my favorite rental, and me and my friends hope to return next year for our annual getaway!

Perfect place for a family trip

The well appointed house is perfect for a multi-generational family trip. The view is spectacular and the house is larger than photos suggest. The house had everything we needed for cooking and beach time - many chairs and towels and kids toys. There are 2 tables outside that each seat six so if you have a larger group of adults you can all eat together if you push them together. Everything was clean and there was plenty of extra towels, bedding, and toiletries we didn't need anything. The little supermarket across the street has just about everything you need - deli counter, produce, alcohol, bakery.

Peace of Mind

This our 4th lake house rental along Lake Huron and this one takes the cake ! This property had everything our family of 10 needed. Plenty of things to do for our rainy day including games and puzzles. Every bed was comfortable, the linens were high quality and new. You don’t need to bring beach towels. The kitchen is fully stocked with cookware and dishes for adults and kids. The property is exactly as described. Plenty of beach toys and chairs for a large family. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Fabulous rental

In the area for a family wedding, and while only three adults (including grandparents) stayed at the location, several family members stopped by to visit. All were impressed with our accommodations compared to theirs. Jinar are couldn’t have been more helpful throughout the rental process. The house was spotless, linens were top notch, so many useful items available in kitchen, and the toys available for kids in lower level - amazing. Wonderful fire pit area, and amazing view of the lake from deck and bedrooms. Already figuring out another visit with friends! Small grocery store with all kinds of surprising items right across the highway. You won’t regret your stay here.

Family time on Lake Huron!

This is a beautiful property!! Extremely clean, very thoughtfully appointed. We were greeted with amazing views of the lake when we walked into the home. Our family truly loved the whole experience of being at the lake! The beach and the lake are amazing! The views are to die for!!The host was very easy to contact and very responsive. Everything is so well organized too. She has thought of everything! The beach toys, the beach towels, the firewood, the beautiful kitchen with everything one might need, the necessities in the bathrooms! And a beautiful bouquet of fresh flowers to greet us! ! ❤️Everything is well thought out! We loved this property!!

Hi there, I'm a mom with two growing boys. I've lived most of my life in Michigan. I love being by the water and gardening. So this Lake Property is my place of Zen. Our family often spends time by the water whenever we get the chance. I enjoy watching my boys play in the water and kicking back watching the boats go by. Our favorite family past time is making s'mores by the fireplace. This is the one time I allow my boys to have a sugary treat before bedtime. They love it! I hope for many great memories for you and your family and friends as well.

What makes this property unique

Location, location, location!! The home is right on the lake, with one of the best views of Lake Huron. There's no bluff so that means no stairs in the way of getting to the water and sand. It's also walking distance to Port Sanilac harbor where you can find many family-friendly activities including concerts on the weekends, and Lexington Village is a cute little town that's only a 15 min. drive away for shopping, antiquing and even more restaurants. A few fun activities/services in the area: paddle board and kayak rentals, diving sunken shipwreck, fishing off the water breaker (salmon, walleye, perch), a barn theater, a historical village and museum and a drive-in movie theater (have you ever been to one of these?!). Accommodations, accommodations, accommodations!! The home is very well stocked with all the basic necessities and comforts of home, plus more, so no worries of having to pack up all your belongings for this trip. Plenty of sand and water toys for both children and adults. Enjoy water and sand by day and a fire pit by night. Firewood is even provided. And last but not least, the home is bright and cheerful - you will feel like you're on vacation the minute you step into the home.
