Beautiful River View

We were having a family reunion in the area and came across this rental on VRBO. It was absolutely perfect!! Our family members loved this place and the owners were so easy to work with. If we are back in that area again we will definitely stay here.

Love this rental

Our family loved this place! The detached screened in patio and as a great treat. It allowed the adults to have some fun without waking up the little ones in the house. The views are incredible and all the locals are so wonderful!

Cute and cozy home

This house is adorable and fits 8 very comfortably. The communication with the owners was great and I would highly recommend this house to anyone that’s staying in the area. The view of the river is fantastic.

A Great Place!

What a wonderful fun place to say. My friend and I came over for the Miles of Rummage sales and really appreciated the hot tub after rummaging all day! The beds were super comfortable - probably the best in any VRBO rental that we have rented. We would definitely recommend renting this awesome place and hope to do so again in the future! We didn't use the hot tub. The kitchen was well-stocked with dishes and spices. The steps to get into the cottage were a little steep for an 82-year-old, but he made it. My fault, I should have thought about that.

Wonderful bohemian getaway

We stayed here for a weekend and it was perfect for our group. It has a delightful bohemian feel. We spent most of the weekend on the screen porch which had plenty of places to sit and a gas fireplace. The view of the Mississippi is beautiful. There were also several restaurant/bars within walking distance. It was a great place and we will definitely be booking again.

Great views!

This property had very eclectic decor in a spacious setting with a great outdoor screened seating area that provided fantastic views of the Mississippi River. Just be aware there were many steps and stairs throughout that might be daunting for some senior citizens.

Great view with HOT TUB

We had a great time! Loved the outside porch/room with the hot tub, fire pit and furniture! Only thing disappointing was all the trains that came through all hours! Very loud!

Anything located directly along the Great River Road is also along the railroad tracks (including our busy motel). It's not for everyone for sure. We also have properties up higher up in the blufftops that overlook the river and are not near the railroad. They're not quite as budget friendly as our Shoreview Cottage. Hopefully we can host you at one of them someday. We appreciate your business.

Beautiful View

We had a great time at this property. The view is spectacular. The home is nice and clean and supplied with everything you would need. Very short walk to the stores and the town is very welcoming. The host is easy to get in touch with and even helped with getting an item we accidentally left back to us. We will definitely be coming back.

Unique and Eclectic Home

We loved the house and its decor! Sunsets were amazing on the screen porch looking at the Mississippi River. Clean and maintained. Great A/C for some 90 degree days!

Bachelorette Weekend!

A few of us girls got together for a fun bachelorette weekend! Hung out by the fire and watched the sunset while playing games Friday. Went to Prairies du chein Saturday and went to the little bars in Ferryville Saturday jight! It was a perfect time, low key, just what our bride wanted!

Great family retreat

We really enjoyed our stay at the River Road Hideout. It is located in a beautiful area near many great outdoor activities. The house is very clean and comfortable and was stocked with everything we needed. Our favorite part was the fantastic screened-in porch where we enjoyed the view and the fresh air, but were safe from the bugs! Perfect place for train enthusiasts (we have several in our family) to watch trains go by. Merrilyn was very easy to get in contact with and made sure the check-in and check-out process was easy. I would recommend this house to anyone!

I am so pleased with the responses to the screened room that we have received, it is so nice to get out of the burning sun, rain and sometimes the.bugs, but not be cooped up inside, when you are.gathered with fronds and family!
