Air-conditioned cottage 8 people with heated pool in the heart of the Landes forest

On an airial typical of the Landes forest of 25,000 m², this outbuilding, former sharecropper house, was completely renovated and transformed into a gîte in 2017. Close to the owners' half-timbered farmhouse, without being adjoining, the 140m² gîte is made up of 3 bedrooms (1 bedroom with 1 140x200 bed + private bathroom + terrace, 1 bedroom with 1 160x200 bed + terrace, 1 bedroom with 2 90x200 beds), 1 sofa bed 160x190 in mezzanine, independent bathroom, living room, open fully equipped kitchen, dining room, terrace, laundry room and 3 toilets ...

In a privileged environment, between fields and pine forest, you can relax, observe nature, take a walk or relax by the heated swimming pool from May to September (to be shared with the owners). During your dinner, you may be observed by a few deer, squirrels, pheasants, wild boars, and hopefully by deer.

Very well appointed property in a beautiful, peaceful location and with a lovely swimming pool. Well positioned to explore the historic towns and villages of the area. The dark skies provided a wonderful display of stars and a clear view of the Milky Way, a superb backdrop to evening alfresco dining. Within easy reach of the ferry ports of Bilbao and Santander for UK travellers wanting to take their cars.

This is one of the best French gites we have ever stayed in. Very well equipped and the owners are friendly and quick to put any problems right. If you are looking for peace and quiet this is the place to come, well off the beaten track. The downside to this is that it is quite a long way to the nearest supermarket.

Heel comfortabel aangenaam huis: mooi, goed uitgeruste keuken met voldoende degelijke kookpotten - wasruimte - goede bedden - veel speelgoed/dvd voor kinderen - goed proper omheind verwarmd zwembad Heel rustige ligging, groot domein, je kan onmiddellijk in het bos gaan wandelen. Geen lawaai v verkeer. Wij houden van de natuur dus ideaal. Hertjes gespot in de tuin en bossen. Vriendelijke eigenaars, die op het domein wonen maar uiterst discreet en behulpzaam zijn. De bakker is 15min rijden, maar dat hebben we er dan graag bijgenomen.

Gîte super équipé. Ping pong et basket à disposition en plus de la piscine. Rien à redire.N hésitez surtout pas. Les propriétaires sont aux petits soins. Le cadre nous a permis de nous reposer .

Super séjour d'une semaine, la maison est superbe, la piscine aussi, nous en avons bien profités, les enfants ont adorés, vraiment un + qu'elle soit chauffée, c'est vraiment top ! La vue sur la forêt, très agréable et très calme. Les propriétaires sont juste à côté mais très discret, et très agréable. Nous recommandons cette maison pour des superbes vacances au calme à côté de la forêt.

We stayed for one week in the summer season. The house is very elegant furnished. Equipped with all we needed. The pool is large. Playing water polo or jumping in is no problem. For safety reasons the pool is equipped with a fence including safety instruction. Our children enjoyed the pool every day. The area and the surroundings are silent and sweeping. Strongly recommend for all escaping the daily routine. Thanks Christiane, thanks Guillaume, we very enjoyed it.
