Caday Rouge is a beautiful, totally renovated traditional stone built cottage dating back to 1862, situated in the Lot-et-Garonne area of South West France in the hamlet of Saint Vite, nestling peacefully amongst delightful herb and shrub filled scented gardens with a large, salt water swimming pool and a large grass play area. There are an abundance of wild birds and river wildlife, as we are only a stone’s throw from the River Lot, which runs behind the cottage. This area of France contains arguably the greatest mixture of fine weather and scenic surroundings.
The River Lot runs across the Lot-et-Garonne and is renowned for fishing. The river is also a great place to spend a day taking a boat trip, kayaking/canoeing or relaxing in one of the many riverside restaurants.
Historical towns and villages in this region are: Cahors, Sarlet, Domme, Rocamadour and Penne d’Agenais and stunning châteaux' such as Bonaguil and Biron are within easy driving distance.
The cycle path runs past the property. Cyclists from all over visit this region where the terrain can be as challenging as you want.
Motorcyclist friendly: visit the South West with it's fantastic roads, twisting and turning into stunning views. Keep your bikes undercover in the barn at the end of the day and relax by the pool.
