We visited family in Columbus and used this as a place to stay and work when not visiting. We had our dog with us. The apartment worked well for that. If you bring a dog, just know the walk to grass is a little long. Which was fine as long as we planned ahead. Vince was very nice and checked on us several times.
Vince was very communicative and it was an easy check in process. The unit was stocked with essentials and complimentary beverages/coffee. Clean unit and even had a high chair for our infant that was stashed in the bedroom closet. Lovely communal balcony to enjoy morning coffee or evening cocktails. Will be returning here whenever we come back to town. Thanks Vince for a wonderful stay!
Columbus isn’t a tourist destination so the available places are limited. We needed a place to stay for a couple of weeks while we helped our daughter and her family when she was having another baby. The apartment above The Southern was a good fit for us. It was clean, the living/kitchen/dining area was spacious and comfortable. Vince had supplied a nice selection of breakfast and snack, including water and even a few beers in the refrigerator. The kitchen had all the basics needed to handle simple food prep and a good Keurig coffee maker. There was adequate glassware and better than average cookware, although we only had occasional take-out food from the nearby Zachary’s and the Thai place.
The shower was fine, and the bathroom was clean and warm. The bed was comfortable and the walk in closet was nice. The only drawback was the one small window above the bed with a view of the neighboring building ally side wall. It was winter, so nothing to see anyway. We took morning coffee on the front verandah when the weather allowed.
The owner Vince couldn’t have been more available or accommodating. We will stay here again, if it’s available.

I am so glad you enjoyed your stay.
Cleaning and sanitizing are our priorities.
I also love sitting on the balcony overlooking Main St.
Hope to see you again.
We had a last minute unexpected trip u to a family emergency. Went to Home Away and found this beautiful apartment. It was very clean, spacious, and pet friendly. My dogs loved the area as well. The hotels were charging extra for our pets for a small room but this apartment was awesome! I can’t wait to do this again!
Very comfortable, clean apartment. Check in and out was easy and Vince was very helpful and accommodating. We had everything we needed and would stay here again.
Clean, simple, dog- friendly and as-advertised. Will definitely be staying here again.
