This place is simply beautiful. I took my daughter and two grandchildren- they all thought it was enchanting too!! A lovely house, the beauty of the surroundings, an ever changing view from a cow parade in the morning and afternoon- words can’t describe this place’s magic!!!
We have stayed at many VRBO properties and this is now our favorite. Within 2 hours of arriving we saw hummingbirds, wild turkey and a bear. I think we saw more wildlife from the porch than we saw in the park. We will back.
A nice, quiet, calm getaway in the mountains. Historic home with lots of charm and plenty of room near a creek and valley. Very beautiful and picturesque.
We had a wonderful stay at the farmhouse! It was exceptionally clean, well cared for, and had everything we needed. You can tell the owners take great pride in maintaining the property. We had no problems at all during our stay, and everything was exactly as described. It was a comfortable, relaxing place to stay, and we would definitely recommend it to others. Thank you for a great experience!
This beautiful early-1900s home was one of the most memorable places we have stayed. The restoration was very well done and preserved the historic character of the house while still providing all the modern comforts you need. The wraparound porch was gorgeous, the showers had excellent water pressure, and there was always plenty of hot water. The setting made the stay even more special. A groundhog slept on the back porch and came out to feed in the yard each morning. We also saw rabbits whenever we drove up, along with cows and turkeys in the pasture. The house truly gives you the feeling of being at home, even while you are away. We would gladly stay here again.
This was the perfect place to stay. Being away from it all is the number one amenity my family looks for and that is exactly what you get. This home is so beautiful and unique. You just dont find this often. It was so thoughtfully decorated inside and out. You could feel the love put into this house and anything you could need was provided, plus extra perks that the host didn't have to include that made the experience even grander. Just being able to stay in this home was the highlight of our vacation. Our favorite place was the huge wraparound porch with the large porch swings that overlooked the creek. Sitting out there in the breeze, listening to the water run and gazing at the scenery will make you forget all the responsibilities you have back at home. The porch swings have generous padding. It was easy to stretch out and take a nap. This home was the epitome of taking a step back to a simpler time while still being provided modern comforts. Do yourself a favor and book some time here. I know we will any time we are back in the area.
Lou & Carla’s place is a fabulous place for a respite. The old farmhouse is very cozy and beautifully restored. Would recommend this place for anyone to stay in and we will definitely be back again.
What a wonderful, magical place. A person writing a storybook couldn’t dream up a more welcoming abode. From the picturesque views to the babbling brook just off the front porch it is purely amazing. We will be staying here again, hopefully for years to come.
We had visited here earlier with family and made it our gift to ourselves to return for this special occasion. We absolutely love this place and if relaxation is your goal, this is your destination.
We loved our stay at the farmhouse! The renovations that have been done are great. Loved sitting on the porch and listening to the creek. They had it decorated perfectly for Christmas! We can’t wait to return and stay again!
