Spent a couple of incredible quiet days here. Property was very clean and comfortable. Perfect for single, couple, or family. Best part is the views and the peace and quiet surrounding this cabin. Very highly recommend and plan to be back soon!
Our stay at Sunset Pines Cabin was wonderful. We checked in Saturday and checked out Tuesday and didn’t see another person the whole time. We enjoyed the selection of movies and used the full kitchen to cook breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day. Our dog loved roaming the property while we sat on the wrap around porch all day. The hot tub was also amazing. This property is definitely in the “wild” we saw a few deer and came across some bear scat while hiking. Overall, we had a beautiful stay and can’t wait to come back!
We came to Florissant to stay for a friend‘s wedding in Colorado Springs and wanted to get away to the mountains while we were there. It was an excellent location easy to find. We had a blast and are looking forward to coming back in the future.
Our accommodations were excellent during our anniversary trip. The neighborhood was very quiet, and the property felt like home. The agent was easily accessible, prompt with messages/correspondence, and a pleasure to deal with. We look forward to staying again in the future!
Cute, comfortable cabin with great views in a nice, quiet neighborhood. Felt very private (houses within view, but a ways away). Our dog loved the wrap around porch, watching the deer that came into the yard almost every evening (and one night a bear cub)!
We got there and cleaners hadnt made it but that quickly got taking care of. It was as advertised beatiful views comfy home nice conveniences. Just a real nice time, did not want to leave but terrible storm forced us out but it was the right call.
Our family that included two teen boys came up from Colorado Springs for the Labor Day weekend with dirt bikes in tow. We cooked all our meals. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed and mom liked the Keurig coffee in the morning. The boys slept upstairs in the loft the twin beds and mom and slept on the new queen bed. A great weekend! dad slept
cozy neat cabin, views were amazing! Enjoyed the hot tub. Bed was not comfortable, The griddle was not working right overheats even on low. one of the smoke alarms was beeping in the night. otherwise it was very good!
I cannot say enough about how lovely the cabin is & the views are spectacular!
I have to be completely honest that i was however extremely dissapointed in 2 things.
1. The outdoor grill was completely unusable due to how dirty it was. Definitely a fire hazard.
2. Master bed. Id read other reviews & have to say was thinking some of those people were snooty about the bed. I can only say....come on owners! You have an AMAZING property but that main bed is beyound ridiculous! Needs to be replaced!
We love this place -- it's so peaceful and beautiful and perfectly private. Thank you for offering this up for people like us to enjoy! It's amazing to pretend like it's our own little slice of heaven, up in the mountains. :)
Absolutely beautiful place. Definitely has 5 star potential. Here’s why it’s a 4 star for us. Although we would definitely be interested in staying here again. Pros:Views- absolutely stunning Location- perfect. Away from it all but still get to where you want in minimal time. Wildlife- wow. Saw bears, deer, fox and more. Communication- host is very easy to communicate with and very attentive and quick to respond. Cons:The little things- shampoo dispenser empty, coffeeCreamer rack dirty (was missed by cleaning crew), could use better towels. AC had issues while there. Host was very attentive to the problem, tried to fix the issue and gave a partial refund for the final night. Overall, it was a fantastic stay, my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed staying there. We used the hot tub a couple of nights, which was great with a cool air. We would definitely look at staying at this property again.
We had the most amazing time in our short trip. We got to see wildlife right outside the deck area, the views are absolutely stunning & so peaceful. We haven’t been able to get away as a family in a couple of years and this stay was much needed and our boys both loved the cabin too, the minimal cell service was a PLUS also!
I had a picture in my mind of the view, the home, the porch and the feel...ticked all the boxes. It was big enough, comfy, cozy and felt like a home away from home. Not to mention the view and the grounds. Wow!! The morning coffee and resting after adventures on the wrap around porch were so delightful, breathtaking and calm. Morning hellos with the deer and wandering around the property with our pup were my favorites. We will be back!!
The cabin is lovely, the views are spectacular, and the crowning touch was the private hiking in the neighborhood (just down the hill). This place was so serene and exactly what was needed for some relaxation.
The property was as described and we enjoyed our stay! Will definitely keep this as a getaway another day.

Why they chose this property
Our family of four was looking for the perfect vacation home. We are busy business owners in Colorado Springs and wanted a close, quiet place to relax, enjoy family time. I love camping, however my husband does not. A cabin was the best option for our family to enjoy nature and not have to sleep on the ground. When we drove up the the property we knew before even going in side that we were going to buy it. We spent 6 months remodeling it and still have work to do outside to make it our dream escape. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
