Lovely stay in Van Gogh countryside

We stayed here during the olympic games and had a wonderful holiday with days in Paris (the train line is very convenient) and days enjoying the peace and tranquility of the gite garden, the beautiful village of Auvers, and cycling along the Oise and nearby. The hosts are such friendly people and did everything they could to ensure we had a great time. We really hope to visit again soon, thank you!

Charming and Highly recommended

An excellent apartment and delightful, excellent and welcoming hosts. The apartment was more than we had hoped and was most comfortable and cosy and a good size for the two of us. There was all the basics and more to make our stay comfortable. There was also use of an excellent and interesting garden/terrace. Situated just 10 mins from the train station where the train to Paris is a mere 10 euros and 30 minutes away. The town of Auvers sur Oise is a must for anyone interested in Van Gogh or art in general. There are walks around the town, by the river or through the forest and a grand chateaux and museums to visit, even out of season. On our last day we found an artist painting in his workshop and there were young painters dotted about the town (even though it was v. cold) painting in the open as V.G. would have. Overall a wonderful holiday and never to be forgotten.

Une bulle parfaite

Le logement est parfait. Le calme, le petit jardin intérieur adossé à la falaise. Le charme du jardin côté sud: glycine, vieil escalier, pavés anciens… Le logement est particulièrement bien pensé et dispose de tout même du superflu. Nous avons passé un superbe séjour dans cette petite ville.

Dream location in Auvers-sur-Oise on the Road of Impressionists ! The wonderful hosts, Nicole and Alain, warm and yet non-intrusive, have anticipated all conveniences and needs ! And finally, the setting is unimaginably beautiful, high above the river valley !
