The Green Mountains provide a fantastic playground for hiking, mountain biking, road biking, leaf peeping, and a variety of other seasonal activities. Conveniently located in the Mad River Valley, the Wilder Farm Inn is a stones-throw away from this recreational haven! Situated on Route 100, often referred to as Vermont's "Skiing Highway," guests will enjoy Sugarbush and Mad River Glen ski resorts just down the road. Offering hundreds of kilometers of groomed trails, downhill enthusiasts, cross country skiers, and snowshoers alike can access this lauded terrain from the Inn's backyard. But winter always gives way to warmer weather, and with it biking, hiking, canoeing, and drinking beer outside - all of which you can easily find here in the valley. We are avid outdoor enthusiasts, and are excited to share our adventures in the Mad River Valley with you.

Summer:
For summer time adventurers, the Mad River offers incredible swimming holes, including just across the street! Borrow a tube, kayak, or paddle board from us and explore the Mad River, Blueberry Lake, of Waterbury Reservoir. Or set out on a swimming hole circuit, dunking in one hole after another as you make your way down the valley.

Fall:
Fall foliage is incredible here in the Mad River Valley! Your stay at Wilder Farm Inn places you at the center of the action. Plan a number of hikes, drives, bike rides, or riverside strolls through the crisp fall air, incredible scenery and changing foliage. Fall is truly one of the best times to visit the valley.

Winter:
Vermont is a winter wonderland. Two major ski resorts, nordic skiing, snowshoeing, fat biking, dog sledding, and more! The Mad River Valley embraces all things winter and is an incredible place to take in all that the season has to offer.

Beer & Food:
Beer and food lovers rejoice, we love good food and beer too! Vermont's craft beer scene is abundantly fertile! The Mad River Valley area is home to many craft breweries and distilleries and delicious restaurants to accompany your beverages. Self-guided brew tours are available. Food is as it should be here, locally sourced, organic, and humble. Farmers and local food producers are located throughout the Mad River Valley, ensuring a steady supply of delicious, quality, locally grown and unpretentious products. Ask us at Wilder Farm Inn about farm and food tours.

Family Weekend
This property worked perfectly for our family of 17 people. We were celebrating my 75th birthday. There were plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms to accommodate our large group. We had a blast!

Great Wedding Companion Property
Used this former Inn to house the groomsmen and partners for a wedding in the area. It worked perfectly. Plenty of bathrooms for getting ready and nice common area for eating together and hanging out. Was fun to feel like we had a whole inn.

Charming Vermont Farmhouse
We had a wonderful stay. The house was 'in fact "Charming" and meet our needs for a large family gathering. The kitchen was well stocked and once we got familiar with the dishwasher, all was well. We even had family photos taken and the farmhouse was a wonderful back drop. We are looking forward to returning next year!

Large house with plenty of beds. They stocked the firewood around the fire pit which was thoughtful. This was perfect for a large group especially with lots of bathrooms also! Plenty of parking. We did not operate the commercial dishwasher - would have preferred a regular one. They do need steak knives and should add that to the ktichen. We also liked that the coffee was stocked! It was also great to have two refrigerators!
