Perfect place for your holiday in Fiji. The house is awesome with a nice pool, a huge master suite on the second floor and everything you need to have a great stay.
The best part are the hosts and the housekeeper. Kiti came by almost every day, doing our laundry and cleaning. She’s super nice, as is Antonia, the owner.
Communication was also super easy, both before and during our stay.
I highly recommend this host and place and am already planning on coming back.
Quiet location with a lovely pool. Kiti the household staff was very helpful and worth her weight in gold. Made our stay there very memberable. Looking forward to returning.

Amazing!
I couldn't ask for anything more from my vacation in Fiji. The house was beautiful, spacious, private, full amenities, pool. A river across the road with canoe access, walking distance to the beach and restaurants/shops, just a gorgeous location. Highly recommended!!

I am very grateful for your review and recommendation. It's invaluable to have feedback from our guests, both for ourselves and future renters. Glad your vacation was a hit!
This home was a great fit for our family (three generations). The location is quiet and remote but still relatively walkable (beach, food) for my young kids and my mother. We were surprised to find the home included regular visits from a housekeeper, which made our stay more luxuriously comfortable. The home itself is clean and homey and had all the amenities we could have wanted.

Nice villa
Nice villa for my family. The pool was the best part. My kids really enjoyed the pool. The WiFi was disappointing since there was only limited data available per day but was sorted out after talking to the property manager.

Friendly guests. Glad you enjoyed the pool. Also my favorite part! For normal email use, the internet works fine but our provider places a data cap that gets used up very quickly if people are streaming videos, utube, etc. This is something that guests need to be aware of. Best to download movies, etc. in advance of your vacation. We also have a dvd library in the villa for your use.
Perfect location as the Dive shop we were using was down the road. Also Skinny Bean café , Money changer and restaurants.
Easy parking, comfortable beds, soothing pool. Even a BBQ. We as a group were pleased this is the option we choose. We enjoyed cooking together and watching Netflix. Overall we saved some money from staying at resorts.

Thanks for your review Dawn and I'm glad you enjoyed your stay. Just to clarify, we did not advertise an elevator on our property so just want to make note of that for future guests. Perhaps you saw an elevator on another property while you were searching for a property. My apologies that you did not find the DVD's. They were in the bottom shelf of the cabinet in the living room. I will be sure that our housekeeper points that out to other guests.

Hope to be back some day!
My family (2 adults and a 4 year old) stayed at his property for a week in June 2011. Everything from the booking and meeting with Richard to the hospitality Of Raj, Sushilla, and Kitty were top notch. The curry that Sushilla prepared for us was fantastic! We enjoyed the pool, the canoe (took it out 3 times for multiple hours at a time), and Pacific Harbour greatly. Friendly people, good restaurants, a leisurely round of golf on Father's Day, a sunset bike ride in the neighborhood with the provided bikes, strolls along the beach, the cultural center in Pacific Harbour and the beautiful house and scenery are just some of the memories we will have for a lifetime. Just today, my son was excitedly talking about all the crabs we saw while taking the canoe out. The title says it all -- we hope to be back someday. If you are looking for a beautiful place to stay in Fiji, with lots to do in the surrounding areas, look no further than here.

Dear Darrick and family, reading your delightful review made me homesick for Fiji! We really appreciate hearing about your stay and all the activities. We're very happy that you had such a full vacation and we would love to have you back again.
This was a beautiful property, although it is a bit dated it felt very clean and tidy with plenty of space. It was a great location about a good 3 hours drive from the airport so you see a lot of Fiji ( mind the potholes). It is a 5 minute walk to the village. It had everything you needed soap ( bring your own shampoo), washing machine powder, everything we needed in the kitchen, pool towels,, bath towels, etc. There is a lady that comes in a couple of times during our week stay and she changed our sheets and does any tidying you ask. She is lovely and very accommodating. The check in and out was as simple as a lock box and great instructions from owner and property manager. Wifi was good. Within a 5 minute walk there are two resorts, The Pearl and Fiji Palms who are both very welcoming and we used Fiji Palms as our resort. We booked trips through them, used their beach access, used their bar and restaurant. They remember our names and treated us like guests.

Super deal and super time
We have stayed at this villa a number of times. It is spacious and well appointed. I found it extremely peaceful there. Very little noise, I was able to walk to the beach, the shops, the river.Everything in the villa is just perfect, it has all you need and is very luxurious without being ostentatious.
I especially liked the bedroom which overlooks the river where I could also read and or do yoga .In all, you are sure to have a really relaxing, peaceful and unspoilt total rest if you rent this villa.
We both enjoyed going to eat at the restaurants nearby at the Cultural Centre and also visiting the nearby PAcific Harbour beach. It was always empty and totally ours! For another experience there is a nice hotel just down the road for a little jazz on a sunday afternoon or a meal anytime or a coffee. Long long walks along the beach suited me just fine.
There is everything you need on your doorstep around that area. THe property is very clean and well maintained. We loved the swimming pool and often just ate outside next to it on the terrace. UMMM lovely and very tropical without being over the top. We also went on adventurous excursions on one of our visits there and they are extremely worth while too, like rafting and going on the river trips.

Perfect home base to see beautiful Fiji
What a great time to visit Fiji! We loved the mild weather, although it was still plenty warm to swim. The house was a winner for our family of 5. Everyone had their own space which they really appreciated. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. The youngest loved running outside and jumping straight into his own private swimming pool.
Thanks to Richard, Kitty, Sushila, and Raj for their services. They were friendly and helpful and we liked chatting with them. Additionally, the detailed Villa book answered all of our questions about the home and the surrounding area. The neighborhood/community was safe, quiet, and well-maintained and there were excellent dining options.
We enjoyed fresh fruit, curries, and delicious seafood every day. There are two stores within walking distance which made it easy for us to take care of breakfasts and snacks. The nearby Uprising resort has a great beach. They didn't have any problem with us using the beach though we did have one of our meals there first so they knew we weren't just using their facilities for nothing. Their food is a bit on the pricey side and what we had was good but not great. I'll put it this way - some of the best meals we had in Pacific Harbour were also the least expensive. You get a sense pretty quickly which restaurants cater to tourists and those enjoyed by the locals.
In addition to the relaxing beach days, the excursions were a lot of fun. We spent a day in Suva, visited the Colo-i-Suva Forest, and hiked around the Sigatoka Sand Dunes national park. We also loved the Kila Eco-Adventure Park which has a zipline, a ropes course, and a fairly intimidating giant swing. Not for the faint of heart!
Overall, we loved the time we spent in Pacific Harbour. The home felt comfortable and inviting from the moment we arrived. We would definitely enjoy a return trip in the future.

Thank you so much for taking the time to write such an extensive review and really giving a sense of all that Pacific Harbour and nearby areas have to offer. Plenty of ways to relax and lots of adventure available as well. We put great energy into making our villa a comfortable vacation experience and you have certainly confirmed that this was the case for your family. We would love to have you as return guests. Thanks again.
We had a fantastic stay at this villa. The pool was definitely a highlight—perfect for relaxing and cooling off in the Fiji heat. We also really appreciated having a TV to catch live sport (Super Rugby), which made it feel a bit like home while still being on holiday. The whole place had such a relaxed, easygoing vibe that made it simple to unwind and enjoy our time. Would happily stay again!

Thanks so much for your lovely review. Our aim with this villa was for guests to feel relaxed and at home so we're happy to hear you were pleased with your holiday time there. You're always welcome to return!
The villa is lovely, and is serviced by the lovely and accommodating Kiti (house keeper). It was perfect for our stay and our party of 5, which included my elderly parents (75) and my two boys (11 & 13). It’s easy to get involved in more social activities (if you prefer) at the local resorts. We went to the Thursday night Lovo buffet at uprising- which was great. For those interested in some adventure I would recommend contacting Rivers Fiji (get their contact details from the activities booking booth, by the pool, at the Pearl Resort) - we had a lovely day hiking in the forest, a swim at a waterfall, picnic and then a river boat ride along the Navua - with a lovely local family. Thanks Antonina and Kiti

Little slice of Paradise
I would recommend this place to anyone. Our own little slice of paradise to come home to everyday or just to hang out in all day.
This villa has everything you need for a very comfortable stay, we spent alot of our time in the pool, very private and quiet.
Our housekeeper Kiti is lovely, very friendly and accommodating. Doesnt look like theres much around but we did find a couple of hidden gems.. At the shops along the road there is a wee place called Skinny Bean Cafe, it has beautiful food, amazing iced coffee and lovely owners. Also further down the road you will find a resort called Uprising, head on down we spent many a day there drinking cocktails, soaking up the sun and hanging out with some of the locals. Very friendly staff. One thing I do recommend though is to get your groceries in Nadi before hand and bring in your own duty free as it is very expensive there. Unless you like the local beers :)
Thank you Antonina for sharing your wee slice of paradise with us :)

Thank you Suzanne for your beautiful review. We are so happy that you fully enjoyed your time at our unique villa and all the local hotspots for food and relaxation. Regarding food shopping, obviously everyone has different dietary needs. We manage pretty well with the small local convenience store and all of the local road side produce markets. I should have mentioned that you could also stop and shop on your way down from Nadi at bigger supermarkets. Sigatoka has a big supermarket as well as a really good farmers market. We often shopped there before we come down to Pacific harbor so that’s helpful advice for future guests.Happy to also hear that Kiti took such good care of you. Thanks again and we look forward to hosting you again in the future.

Mixed feelings
The house is located in pacific harbour. This is an area where a lot of expads have a villa.
This house is old. Interior, exterior. Not what we are used to have in europe or the US. Everything is used very much and worn out. The kitchen is a bit sticky and also very old. Kitchendoors are painted 20 times and also a long time ago.
The beds are small and only there you have aironditioning. Not in the kitchen or living room.
The towels, bedsheets have all different colors.
The musquito doors are working but again very old and worn out.
The same with the shower curtains. It can drop any minute.
Sealant joins in the bathrooms are full with fungus and dirty.
The water in the swimming pool is clean. But everything around it is again very old. The wooden part in front of the pool is rotten and the edge of the pool can be painted once.
I can continue but i have mixed feelings.
Is this perhaps this is normal in fiji? Is this what you get for this price in fiji?
Shouldn’t we go next time to a resort in a country like this?
We spend 10 days in the villa and after a day or two we where used to the situation.
But for the next family who wants to book be aware of this all.
Not bad....but you have to accept the above.

Our home, built in the late 70’s,has unique architecture compared to any other villa in Pacific Harbour. So many guests have praised it. We are very disappointed & surprised by your review because it is not typical of the guests who have stayed before. We do understand that this is your first time in Fiji & your expectations might have been better met by spending time in a resort hotel. To get anything like the standard of our villa would be very expensive & without the ability to host a family/group in privacy & with full kitchen amenities. You must have noticed how people live very simply in Fiji,it doesn’t have all the amenities as in Europe/America.Nevertheless we do our best to provide all the comforts/appliances that we can. Kitchen comment is a bit unfair. We have replaced the stove, range, fridge, microwave, washer & dryer very recently & the doors are beautifully stained.Environment here is definitely harder on homes than what you are used to. Thus we have a very experienced Fijian house keeper who cares for the villa 3x/wk.We also have a professional yard crew & pool maintenance person who attends to the pool 3x/wk & we do a thorough maintenance upgrade 1x/yr to paint, upgrade, freshen & repair everything. We do our best to keep our villa in very good shape & we are proud of this. However, we thank you for your review & assure you that we are looking at everything you pointed out & addressing it.We are now in the process of replacing some of the mosquito screens. We have to do this 1x/yr.The wooden deck in front of the pool was freshly painted just a 1yr ago, as well as the concrete trim around the pool. We are re-painting these & we find we have to do this yearly. Wooden deck isn't rotten. It was entirely replaced just 3 yrs ago. Re:beds,we have 2 queens & a double- pretty standard. It is almost impossible to find a king-size bed in Fiji. Re:a/c,it is standard to cover the bedrooms & provide ceiling or floor fans in the living & dining spaces. We ourselves prefer natural ventilation. The architect aligned the house in a very unusual way to maximize cross-ventilation from the prevailing south easterly tropical breezes. We like to take advantage of that & avoid A/C if possible. Our agent who inspects every wk should have replaced that shower curtain before your arrival.Various colored towels & linens are part of the charm of being in a house, not a resort. But.again we do respect the fact we did not meet your expectations & are sorry we disappointed you.

We really like villa 62.
We really like villa 62. It was an awesome, get-away, quiet and still very conveniently located close to all amenities. Really like the private nature of the place and open floor plan that really fit our family of four.
This place is awesome. As soon as we arrived, we really felt right at home! That was the expression this place give you. The house has an open floor plan, lots of windows for light and free flowing space. It also has all the appliances you’d find in a modern home to make your stay enjoyable. We really like the fact it had a private pool which the kids enjoyed, as well as a bonus room which was a nice get-away for the kids to play in. The rooms are very spacious, especially the master suite. The villa is also very close to all shopping/restaurants and The Perl/Uprising which we visited frequently to partake in other activates. We also rented canoes from nearby to go around the lagoon which is about 50 feet from the villa. The kids really enjoyed feeding the fish every morning. Good times and life-time memories made.
Oh, and the booking/staff were very easy to work with which made for such an awesome experience. A Big Vinaka and highly recommend this place.

A Quiet Corner of Beauty
My wife and son and I spent a beautiful 5 days at the property as part of a larger vacation in Fiji which included, Suva, Taveuni and Nadi. It was delightful to enjoy the many pluses of this place including: the fast [for Fiji!] Internet, the pool to cool off in, the ability to cook our own meals - with plenty of good groceries available not far away, the size of the place - spacious, so that we could have our own space when needed.
The very long beach at Pacific Harbour was mostly empty and great to swim in and walk along - at any time of day. And we had a few coffees and drinks at the Pearl Hotel - a 5 Star resort just a 10 minute walk away. It has a great gift shop too. We also walked all the way to the 'Uprising', another resort way down the beach - good food there too [a bit greasy!].
Kiti, the house-keeper was always willing to go the extra mile to make us feel at home and aware of the local culture - she even prep'd a fresh coconut for us to drink the 'bu' - amazing, delicious coconut water.
But mostly, we liked the simple life of that place - hardly any traffic - so very quiet, and always beautiful! We read, we slept, we sunbathed .. an experience of 'Fiji time'.

Wonderful place to relax or get active
I've lived in Fiji in the past, so it was great to go back with my extended family, and we could not have chosen a better place to stay than this house in Pacific Harbour. Everything they claim about this house is true! We were amazed at the range of activities and amenities now available in the Pacific Harbour area, and the younger members of the family had a wonderful time diving at Beqa Island, kayaking the Navua River, fishing and so forth, while others of us enjoyed relaxing by the pool or at the lovely beach that is only 10 minutes' walk away. The house is extremely well-equipped and it was great to be able to choose to eat home-cooked meals or go out to one of the really good restaurants nearby. The house was perfectly suited for a big family like ours, but would be just as good for a couple. And so private and quiet!
I noticed an earlier reviewer complaining about the internet service, but we had no problems at all with it. Anyway, having lived in Fiji we know that sometimes things don't work as well as they do in developed countries, and that's OK with us. We were impressed by the helpful binder of instructions left by the owners, and had excellent support from Kiti and Richard when we needed it. Really, this is a wonderful place to stay and we're already planning our next visit!

Great house if you dont need internet
The house was clean and ready for us with clear instructions in the binder. The pool was great and got used a lot. Main drawbacks was losing internet on the second day we were there. No email, no news nothing. Supposedly we went over the data cap but all we did was check email and a few facebook messages- no videos or music streaming. Also the kitchen didnt even have salt. Every other VRBO house I have rented had at least a few basic kitchen items on hand all I can guess is the house hasnt been rented out in so long?
Pacific Harbour is perfect if you want activities to do. We went zip lining, did the side by side buggys up to the waterfall and scuba diving. Its really a great little town.

In response to your review, our apologies for the difficulty encountered with the internet during your stay. Many guests have stayed there without problems. Our agent in Fiji tells us that the ISP was responsible for your internet problems in this case, and we did have our IT manager come to check it out on the same day in any case. In addition, we have since upgraded our wireless hub including a UPS to increase reliability on our end. The guests that have come in after you have had no internet interruptions, we are happy to report.
The Villa is definitely in use every month so it was an oversight on our part not to re-stock the salt. Sorry for that inconvenience. When we are there, we typically keep it in the freezer as it tends to absorb water otherwise in the tropical climate. Hopefully you also noticed how well stocked our kitchen is with appliances, dishware, cook-ware, etc. We have tried to take into account everything that our guests would need.
We are glad that you did get to enjoy the activities that Pacific Harbourt has to offer. As you say, it is really a great little town and beach is magnificent, as I am sure you would agree.

This is a great place for a holiday
My family and I have stayed in this villa a few times over the past several years now and we are always happy to come back. Pacific Harbour is booming these days, with new restaurants and things to do opening up regularly. If you're into food, there is everything from fine dining at the Pearl and the newly-opened restaurant The Establishment through good resort-type fare at Uprising and Oasis to real local curries and excellent fish and chips. The villa is perfectly located for family holidays or an intimate get-away, with no end of stimulating activities available to burn off the calories. Everyone loves the Zipline forest canopy rides, and the diving with the diving with the sharks off Beqa Island is world-famous. I like to relax by the pool and take long quiet walks on the beach or through the golf course. The house is always clean and tidy, and Kiti is always ready to help if necessary. I recommend this one to everyone I meet!

Thank you so much for your thorough review. Sounds like you covered a lot of ground here and had lots of relaxing time as well. That's what is so nice about being in a villa. You can get the best of both worlds. Quiet when you need it, and plenty to do nearby. I also appreciated hearing about new restaurants in the area as we stay in our Villa a few times as well. And thank you for spreading the word. That is fantastic! Hope to have you back again.

We are from the U.S.. It brings us joy to be able to host guests and share our villa, giving them quality vacation time that we ourselves enjoy. Creating a conscious and comfortable environment are very important so we take great care in everything we've selected for the villa so it is pleasing to our guests.
Why they chose this property
We chose this property because it is absolutely beautiful, quiet and lush. We also love Fiji as the people here are happy, helpful, friendly, not guarded and have a great sense of humor. Very common to hear peeling laughter, which is delightful.
What makes this property unique
We are on a corner lot so it is spacious and quiet. The pool is surrounded by foliage so it is totally private. The proximity to the ocean within walking distance was a huge selling point for us.
