Located in Fort Erie, this cottage is near the beach. Lake Erie and Buffalo Harbor State Park reflect the area's natural beauty and area attractions include Whispering Pines Art Studio & Gallery and Port Colborne Historical and Marine Museum. Fountain Plaza and Market Arcade Building are also worth visiting.

The perfect stay for our family of 6. The Sea Shell cottage was clean and and the hosts were friendly and prompt to respond to any questions we had. We highly recommend this close to the beach, pictureeske cottage.
All round glad we made the choice to stay here very clean , comfortable and close to the beach - only issue sun too hot burned all round now I can’t sit lol
We really enjoyed our trip to Crystal Beach. The town and beach are wonderful, and our cottage and host were amazing! It is a quaint traditional cottage, but is kept in great condition, and clean, and has lots of space for the whole gang.

Great Location and Beach - A few Issues...
The location is great, a quick 5 min to the beach and all of the restaurants in town. Note the beach is highly restrictive - searching your bag and not allowing big umbrellas or even a beer in.
The cottage itself is quaint, but could use a bit of upkeep. Random chairs are broken and parts of floor are caving in.
We specifically picked this place because it had Wifi, as we all had to work on the Friday. The Wifi password was nowhere to be found and I could not get a response from the owner until the workday was almost done. Luckily there was a cafe with Wifi close, but not ideal.
The propane also was completely empty - the owner was quick to get this replaced, but we weren't able to bbq on our first night. This BBQ also needs the grates replaced as they are very rusty.
Overall great weekend - just some more attention to the cottage is needed - would rate 3.5 if I could.

Thank you for your review, by your comment, yes, the cottage is very old - was built in 1951 and was the home of the Crystal Beach Amusement Park workers, and I try to maintain that charm from back in the day, I did and do check prior to each guest that the chairs or any of the furnishings are broken or not usable. The chairs are definitely not random as I take pride in the decorating of the cottage. As for the floor, I am not sure where you were having difficulty but will address. The WiFi password was provided and is left in the cottage for plain sight. The BBQ is left out for guests to use and are very seldom covered, the BBQ;s are also old and will be replaced for the next season. Beer on the beach, this is Ontario and we have strict laws in that regard, Crystal Beach is striving to be Covid safe and generally safe overall, they also do not allow glass on the beach, therefore, Security does check beach bags for that reason, for the safety of all the beach goers, there are other beaches in the area that are public if you need to bring beer to the beach but of course, it is not legal to do so in Ontario. Thanks for your visit to the Sea Shell Cottage.
If you want modern finishes like granite countertops and stainless steel appliances, this not the place for you. But if you like a quaint, clean beach cottage, you’ll love this. We did. Owner was absolutely terrific...very friendly and motivated to make your stay great.

Thank you Robert for this lovely review, my aim is to keep the cottages as quaint and charming as possible, you were great guests and I hope to host you and your sailing mates again. I hope your regatta was successful and I also hope you got to see the mighty Niagara Falls.

This guest did not book my accommodation. It was a scam. Do not accept a booking from this person.
