The Award Winning Historic 1893 Reed - Dossey House Bed & Breakfast

When you book your stay here, Our guests will experience the charm of the Historic 1893 Reed-Dossey House Bed & Breakfast located atop a hill with picturesque views of Brownsville, Kentucky. In the past 2 years, this B&B was awarded three Best In Kentucky awards from travel magazines. This cozy B&B is conveniently situated just 5 miles from Mammoth Cave National Park, 10 miles from Nolin Lake State Park, and 25 miles from the Corvette Museum in Bowling Green. With only the one private room with your own bathroom suite, you will be our exclusive guests and you will have access to the stunning bedroom with 12-foot ceilings and an attached private bathroom featuring a jetted bathtub and shower.

Take your pick from the two beautiful porches to unwind during your stay, or head to the game room with board and arcade games for some indoor entertainment.

Please note that the maximum stay is 3 nights, and we only accept bookings from the guest who will be staying on the premises. The minimum age limit for adult renters is 25 years, and we do not allow children or any additional guests.

A highlight of our B&B is the made-to-order gourmet breakfast, which is included in the room rate and served in the elegant dining room. We use only the freshest ingredients to prepare your breakfast of choice, whether it's scrambled or fried eggs, bacon, ham, or sausage, French toast made with specialty breads, toast, mixed fruits, juice, coffee, or tea.

In addition to the dining and bedroom areas, guests have access to most lower-level rooms including the Parlor, Game Room, and Sunroom, as well as both outdoor porches. Please note that the kitchen is off-limits during meal preparation, and the host's bathroom is not available for use.

Last but not least, please be aware that we have a friendly cat named Katie who roams the premises but is never allowed in the guest room.

There is no smoking, vaping, or open flames allowed on the property. Also, our cat can be sequestered upstairs during meals.

Sharon and Tony spoiled us from the moment we arrived until we had to say goodbye. The house, room, grounds, food and hosts were amazing. We did not want to leave and will definately be back. Do yourself a favor and choose one of the amazing dinner meals offered.

This was our first bed and breakfast experience and Tony & Sharon exceeded all expectations! They are the best! Beautiful house and property, clean and comfortable rooms, and amazing food! We opted to have them make dinner both nights we stayed and that was the best decision we made. With their background, the pizza and meatballs dinners were excellent! We chose to stay here to visit the caves and it’s a short 20 minute easy drive. We will truly visit again in the future and we feel we made new friends staying here. Thank you so much Tony & Sharon for a wonderful bed & breakfast experience!

You must stay here if you're in the area. Everything is top notch. Be sure to take advantage of the dinners as there aren't many options in the area and it was very nice (as were the breakfasts). Sharon & Tony will go out of their way to pamper you.

Tony and Sharon are excellent hosts! We felt like we were family coming for a visit. The home is wonderful and there is even a bonus furry friend. We talked for hours and had an entertaining game evening. The food is outstanding and the room is very comfortable. We will return again to the area but mostly to visit our new friends!

Sharon and Tony were the ultimate hosts! We had the pleasure of booking a dinner with them on our first night there. And the morning breakfasts were so plentiful and delicious. They served us cappuccino’s before breakfast on the front porch as we listened to the birds and enjoyed the view. They were very open to our schedule. The room and adjoining bathroom felt very private and were very comfortable. We would 100% recommend them anytime your traveling in the area.

It was home away from home, like family, I Loved the Beautiful Old Home, Tony and Sharon pampered us, she made sure I had roses what ever room I was in, the Breakfast was made for a King and Queen, made us feel so special, Tony's coffee, excellent! Sharon's Honemade Jams, and sweet breads, excellent, Our room took us back in time, with the Beautiful Antiques, we will be back in the Fall! Its a 5 star in our book!

We had a lovely stay at the Historic Reed Dossey House. The hosts, Sharon and Tony, put a lot of effort and personal touches in to making it a memorable place, from welcoming letters to a special wedding cake for our honeymoon. All the food was very delicious, including the optional dinners. We even brought home some of the jams they make. They graciously showed us around their home and gave us tips on things to do in the area.The location was great for seeing Mammoth Cave and antique shopping in Franklin. Sharon and Tony were very accommodating with an early breakfast before our morning cave tour. The game room was neat; we had fun playing pinball. We loved their sweet kitty, too.Although not uncommon in homes that didn't originally have plumbing, the steps in the bathroom could be challenging for some people. The motion light on them helped, though.Overall a wonderful stay. Thank you!

We had a wonderful stay at the Dossey House Bed & Breakfast! The house was clean and full of charm. The hosts curated a delicious menu selection for us. Their attention to detail made our anniversary weekend extra special! This house is located about 20 minutes from the Mammouth Cave visitor's center and is accessible to the main road. If you've ever thought about trying a bed and breakfast experience, this is the place to book!

Serenity in the Country

Our time at the Reed-Dossey House was absolutely wonderful. Evenings playing pinball in the game room were so much fun, and Tony and Sharon went above and beyond by making a cake and singing to my sister for her birthday. This is a beautiful, peaceful property with hosts that are amazing! Every detail is well thought-out, with so many extras. It was the perfect spot to relax after a day at the Corvette Museum and Factory Tour, and just a short (30 minute) drive to our Mammoth Cave tour the next day. Food was fabulous—be sure to have dinner! You will love staying with Tony and Sharon.
