Room 713 was next to the elevator which took you immediately to the pool or parking lot. So easy to get in and out of the building. The view is both the ocean and the pool so it’s easy to see where members of your group are. Rooms were clean and well stocked. No complaints at all here!

West Maui Condo

Just spent 6 nights at the Aston Ka’annapali Shores Resort. Beautiful ocean view from our 8th floor condo. Watched whales everyday from our balcony that overlooked a beautiful pool. Resort was great. Room was fine with most things you need. Our group of 2 adults, 2 teens, and a 10 year old were comfortable. Would have preferred a few more kitchen items such as a pizza cutter. Easy access to both Lahaina and Kapalua.

Unexpected Suprise

Really enjoyed our stay at Kaanapali Shores. My unit was in a great location with great views of the pool and beach. Beach was steps from our unit. What I really liked was the loft unit that was not mentioned on the listing. So we had the 2 bedrooms and the loft had 2 twin beds and a sofa bed. This unit would be great with 3 families. We enjoyed walking to the food truck and grocery store across the street. Only complaint was one of the bedrooms bed was too soft and it sank quite a bit so I ended up sleeping in the loft on the twin bed. I definitely would come back to this unti though.

A Great Place to Land in Paradise

The experience overall was very good, and I would highly recommend this property. You can’t beat the location and a private balcony was probably the best feature. The condo seemed clean and was generally comfortable. It felt a little smaller than the listing photos suggests, and the ocean view was a peakaboo instead of the straight-on splendor shown in the listing. Our room was situated centrally at the property so the garden waterfall muffled the hopes-for sound of crashing waves. The myna birds were a newer addition since our last stay 20 years ago, and could get a bit loud and rowdy at night. They were otherwise fun to watch. As our first VRBO experience, we weren’t sure how to replenish the daily coffee or request fresh towels, but will be more proactive next time. Overall we’d definitely recommend to other traveling families and would give our experience a solid 9 out of 10 rating. Mahalo!

Nice condo view - but kitchen lacks basic necessities

We were very disappointed to find few kitchen pots and pans to make a simple breakfast. A single 8 inch fry pan was all that we had available! We had planned to make pancakes, eggs & hash browns in the morning - but that was not doable. In addition, basic seasonings like salt and pepper would be nice! Kitchen is in dire need of nonstick fry pans (and maybe a griddle), plus more cooking utensils! No blender available - glad we packed our own hand held smoothie maker! Dishwasher instructions should be provided - it was trial and error before we figured out how to turn it on! Although view was nice - not sure condo was worth the nightly rate we paid. Property lacks a nice sandy beach compared to neighboring properties. Use of gym was not included in daily rate and is operated by a third party that you pay separately each day you use it (not able to charge to room).

Our view was amazing and the grounds and pool so beautiful. Great location - near so many amazing beaches and grocery store accross the street. Disappointed the condo did not have a blender, there is no ice machine, and the air conditioning crapped out on our last day.

Very pleasant and nice place to stay with two teenagers.

We paid for an ocean view when we booked our room and weren’t initially thrilled with our room. It overlooked too much of the parking lot (although you could see the ocean over the roof-top of the building next to us.) I complained to the front desk and they pleasantly moved us to a different room the next night. We were moved to room 603 and it had amazing views of the pool and ocean and was more updated. The staff was friendly and the location was great. We stayed with our teenaged son and daughter and they each had their own bed. Would definitely recommend. Mahalo
