The house is located on an exceptionally beautiful vista! We found the premises appropriately clean, the WiFi consistently speedy, and all the rooms provided every creature comfort one could need. The sounds of the waves crushing against the lava rock below offer the perfect white noise for sleeping or seating at the lanai to observe nature and the endless Pacific stretching beyond the horizon. For those waking up early in the morning, the sunrises offer a mesmerizing dance of clouds and a spectacular palette of colors. Terry and Co. were very responsive and accommodating. Top notch experience.
Loved the house and quiet friendly neighborhood. I enjoyed the waves on the cliffs every day, especially when the breeze wasn’t carrying the mist up on onlookers. Kitchen was well supplied, we cooked one night and a couple breakfasts. I would definitely stay here again.
This property right on the water was great! Loved waking up to the ocean every day. Beds were comfortable and the host responded quickly. Would stay here again.
My husband and I absolutely love this home. Location is outstanding. We can sit and watch whales for hours. The sounds of waves crashing against the cliffs is very relaxing.
We had a great vacation staying in the house. We originally were going to stay four nights, but due to the hurricane moving through Kaua'i, we extended our vacation to seven nights. The process to extend was very easy, as we had to make this decision the day before we arrived. The house was very clean, and the beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped with pots/pans/utinsils and all other items you would want for your stay. The wall of windows is very cool and makes waking up to sunrises from the main bedroom amazing! Just so you know, the TV is on the other side of this wall, and with only a barn door that doesn't close flush with the array of windows that separates the living/kitchen from the main bedroom, it is difficult for one person to go to bed and the others to watch TV or talk in the main living spaces. With the corrosive ocean air, the door handles and faucets throughout the kitchen and bathrooms are severely tarnished. They should probably be replaced on a regular schedule. That said, the house was awesome, and we appreciated the location and host communication.
The home is beautiful and situated perfectly for a relaxing vacation. The weather was perfect for walks along the ocean, watching the whales and visiting sites in the area.
Lovely home with awesome view over the ocean and nonstop sound of crashing waves. The open feeling of the master bedroom and living area added to the sense of connection with nature. Great bird watching as well, including two nene geese that liked to peek in on us through the pixture windows.
This home is well-appointed and the location is wonderful. The sunrises are spectacular! The property is just as it’s described and we enjoyed our stay. I would absolutely stay here again.
We had a lovely stay at this home and enjoyed walks in the neighborhood. The place was well equipped, super clean, and the beds were very comfortable. The views simply cannot not be beat!
Beautiful ocean front location with frequent dolphin sightings. Terrific cook’s kitchen enables delicious dinners on great patio overlooking the ocean. Super bathroom and primary bedroom overlooking ocean for magnificent sunrises.
Very pleasant stay overlooking the ocean. Had everything we needed, good access to Hilo and Volcanoes National Park.Keep the doors closed after sunset (bugs!) and you'll have a great time.
We stayed here for our 2nd half of our Big Island trip, after staying in Waikoloa. It was a beautiful. The house was awesome and the views and sounds of the ocean were mesmerizing. We would love to come back and stay again.

Thank you so much for staying with us. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay! Mahalo!
We loved the Hale Hale'ai House. It had plenty of room for our family of 5. The house was immaculate and has an awesome view of the ocean. We saw several whales which was a highlight of our vacation.
We love returning to this amazing gem of a home. The home is situated on the edge of a cliff, absolutely perfect for morning coffee and whale watching. It has everything you need, including extremely comfortable beds, and is extremely clean. We will always return.
Spectacular views! Very clean and modern. Great communication with the property manager. Only downside was that the pool was no longer at the property. We would stay again for sure!
The house had everything we needed in order to enjoy our stay. It was very easy to get in and out of the neighborhood, although it was a shame to ever leave, as we were entertained by porpoises, sea turtles, nene's, breathtaking sunrises and amazing surf. The back patio was a great place to start and end each day. The property manager provided many great recommendations for things to do and places to eat in the area.
I recommend this beach house for adults who wish to get away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist sections of Kona and Hilo. Located in a very nice area right on the coast, so it is lovely to sit out on the back porch and watch the ocean both in the morning and just prior to sunset
The house is beautiful in a quiet neighborhood. We spent many hours sitting on the well situated lanai. Incredible sunrises and while we were here there was a full moon sparkling on the waters. A perfect Hawaiian vacation!
We’ve been fortunate to stay in many properties along the cliffs in HPP, and this house ranks in the top 1 or 2 consistently! You have everything you need, plenty of room and views, views, views! I could sit and listen to the the waves, frogs and birds forever.
