Walk to Lake cottage with beautiful Higgins Lk "Gold Coast" access

Quaint 2 bed 1 bath cottage located off Gold Coast, on northwest side of beautiful spring fed Higgins Lake. Road access beach is clear water with sandy bottom, excellent for adults and children to play and swim, just follow the rules on the sign.
The cottage is completely furnished and well maintained, sleeps 6. Master bedroom has a queen bed and second bedroom has a full. There is a sofa bed in the living room (extra mattress pad under the full size bed in second bedroom) as well as a day bed off the dining area. Linens are furnished.
The bathroom has a standard tub/ shower combo, bath towels are furnished, please bring your own beach towels. Ample parking, large wooded lot with fire pit.

The cabin was clean and well maintained. The property owner was very responsive to my questions. Overall it was a fantastic place to spend a weekend!

Perfect cabin near the lake!

Our family had a great long weekend at this cute cabin! The cabin has everything we needed, a nice sized yard for kids playing and campfires, and you can walk to the lake. The area is quiet, relaxing and all around a great time. We hope to come back again!

Our stay at West Rd Cabin

This is a nice cabin to stay in. Higgins Lake is one of the most beautiful lakes that my family and I have gone to my whole life. Though you have to go to a road end for lake access, its still great to play in the lake. The cabin has lots of things to play with at the cabin or down at the lake. Our host was very gracious and accommodating to us. We appreciated his effort to help make our stay good. We have stayed there two years in a row. It would be nice if they had some sort of picnic table or outdoor table as there is not much room to sit down to a meal in the cabin for 5 people. But it was all worth being there in that little corner of the world! Thank you!

Great little up north cottage

True definition of a little cottage up north. The size of the lot was great. Cozy little cottage. It was great for what the four of us needed. 3 minute walk to the water. 7 minute drive to north higgins lake park. 13 minutes to the south state park. So it was all close enough proximity for not being directly on the lake. We enjoyed the beautiful lake and enjoyed bonfires at night. The owner Greg was always in contact if we needed anything. There were only two knocks i give the place: definitely could use some sort of table (picnic) outside for eating meals as that is really the only thing the place lacks. A place for 4 people to sit and eat comfortably. Other thing is the hot water does not last for more than a couple minutes so you need to speed shower. I was good but my three ladies… well you know how they need more shower time lol. But we still made do and enjoyed the cottage. We would stay again.

Horrid odors make this stay a challenge

Unfortunately I cannot give this one an acceptable rating. When we arrived all of the windows were open and all of the fans were running. Upon entering we realized why. In the living room and in the master bedroom there were seriously obnoxious odors. We contacted the owner who politely suggested we open the windows. However, the evening temps were in the 50s and this became a challenge. We huddled in one room and wore masks to sleep. This unit needs some attention before it would be comfortably livable. Hopefully the owner will address these concerns or at a minimum disclose this in the listing.

I only wish that you could have seen the thermostat on the end of the hallway, it’s a brand new 60k btu forced air furnace. Way more than the cottage needs, there is no reason to be Cold .

Our family getaway

The host was very nice, respectful, generous answered very quickly to our questions very beautiful rustic cabin setting made us feel like we were at our own home lots of games to play inside and out great fire pit, short walk to water to swim from cabin short drive to boat launch to put our jet ski in short drive to both state parks. If you find that you forget something from home more then likely it would probably be there. Stores are close and there is many places to get a bite to eat if you choose to go out. Everything is close to cabin. We would definitely rent it again and again if it’s available just really enjoyed ourselves very much best getaway place ever!!!!

Owner cares about your stay!

The cabin was perfect for our little vacation. Very close to the lake. There's beach access within walking distance, according to the owner, but we just used the State Park beach which is a short drive away. The cabin is cozy and comfortable with everything we needed. Greg, the owner, went out of his way by text to make sure we had everything needed and were happy. Felt he cared about us having a good stay. Nice campfire pit, and everything was already setup for a good campfire with kindling and everything needed. All I did was light it up. We enjoyed our stay. - Austin

A Few Days in Paradise

We were looking for a place to relax and soak up the wonderful lake, woods and beautiful weather and we found it with this rental. The cabin had everything we needed for downtime- a grill, fire pit, comfy beds, and great location. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.
