The Vermont Summer Cabin sits on the edge of Green Mountain National Forest, set away from the road the house is almost completely secluded. The cabin is a 2 bedroom summer dwelling with an open concept living room & kitchen, full bath, master bedroom and a second bedroom. Two cars can fit comfortably in the driveway.
The cabin is built for three-season use. A wood burning stove provides heat and ambiance for the cool summer evenings and is the only heat source for early spring and fall months. Both beds have heated blankets and the hot tub is a magical way to warm up. The weather in Vermont is known for changing throughout the day, so its always good to pack layers and comfy socks.
The kitchen is fully equipped with appliances and amenities to feel at home. There is a wireless internet connection for streaming and a small workspace if needed. There is a small washer/dryer unit. The back deck has an open air hot tub for soaking under the stars. Though we try to keep the house stocked, guests may have to purchase their own wood, kindling, matches or other supplies like toilet paper or paper towels.
Tucked away in a quaint New England town, the cabin is five minutes from The Vermont Country Store and The Weston Playhouse. Other interesting attractions in Weston include Kinhaven Music School, where you can see free classical music concerts most Saturdays and The Weston Priory, a secluded community of Benedictine Monks. You can tour cultural and farm-to-table establishments, go antiquing, or take day trip to tour Vermont's rich micro brewing industry. There are both casual restaurants and fine dining options within a 30 minute drive.
Outdoor activities include river walking and hiking, as we are close to the Long Trail and the Appalachian Trail, among others. For water activities there are rivers and lakes, Echo Lake and Hapgood Pond to name a few.
Whether you are traveling with friends or looking for a cozy, romantic getaway, The Vermont Summer Cabin is a wonderful place to spend some time and soak up the beauty of Vermont.
*Please note -- although the one-time hot tub fee of $155 is listed separately on the Vrbo bill, cabin rental without the hot tub is not available.
**Attention to those with severe pet allergies -- Although we have a no-pet policy for guests, and the cabin is cleaned well between each stay, there are small pets who live here from time to time.

The cabin is very cute and extremely cozy. The hot tub was lovely, as was relaxing by the fire, and (as always seems to be the case with Vermont!) we easily found great food to enjoy not far away!Would definitely come back for another relaxing weekend.
This place is great! The perfect VT cabin in the woods with an awesome mid-century modern vibe and windows galore overlooking the surrounding woods. The hot tub is great - even in the summer - as mornings and evenings can be a little cool. The firepit is a great add as well. We had a great stay!
We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It was very comfortable and had all we needed. It was a great place to stay for a mid-October visit to Vermont, although pretty chilly so we really needed that fire & used the heated blankets to stay warm. Overall a great experience!
The property is beautiful and There is good privacy at the property. It is secluded without being so far out there that a grocery store run is not a trip. The property managers are available and easy to reach. They leave detailed instructions on how to operate everything in the house. They also leave you with information on all of the local attractions, restaurants, and grocery stores. Overall a great experience.
My wife and I needed a few days off and found this home in Weston, Vermont. The house was excellent, just the right size for us and very cozy and secluded. The home was clean and tidy when we arrived and the host provided clear, concise directions as to how to enter. The hot tub was very relaxing and the wood stove kept us warm on a cold, rainy weekend. We look forward to visiting again and recommend both the home and the hosts.
My husband and I rented this cottage for a weekend away hiking. We loved the charm here…from the super-old refrigerator to the quaint villlage of Weston. I loved that when I woke up in the middle of the night, I couldn’t tell if my eyes were open or closed. Very warm, rustic and peaceful.
We had a great time! The cabin is tucked away and perfect for some r&r with your spouse. We enjoyed the fire at night and hot tub with some wine. The heated blanket was perfect for chilly nights and mornings and the kitchen was stocked well with tin foil, plastic wrap, ziplock bags. I enjoyed coffee on the front porch just taking in the view and quietness. Lots to do in the area! We hope to be back, Thanks Molly!
We had a wonderful and relaxing stay at the Vermont Summer Cottage. The pics represent the cabin well - it is definitely in more of the “cozy rustic” category but the value is exceptional! Loved the open layout between the living and kitchen area and the main bedroom is nice and large with lots of windows for light (but shades when you want dark). For us though the best thing was the back deck and the fantastic hot tub! Molly was very nice and responsive. Would definitely recommend!
Love the location and the house. Molly responded quickly to every request. The house was as advertised. It was chilly in the a.m. but the fire took the chill off. The blueberries were ripe in the front of the house so we made blueberry pancakes. And the hot tub was the perfect treat at the end of the day. Nothing like a good soak. Hope to visit again sometime.
We enjoyed our stay at this house in Weston, and particularly enjoyed snacking on the fresh blueberries that grew right outside our front door! We appreciated that the little town of Weston has a few businesses, and Londonderry and Ludlow are not far away if you are looking for more restaurant and grocery options.
The home was super clean and just as we expected based on the listing. I enjoyed the quiet backyard and had my own Sunday morning yoga session out back.
Just a note that the rooms are not soundproof and my daughter complained that my snoring kept her up at night :)
We hope to be back one day!
Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us!
Our stay at this Vrbo was nothing short of amazing! Nestled in a peaceful, secluded area, the house offered stunning views of the fall color and a sense of tranquility we were all craving. The fresh air and the breathtaking sunrises were the perfect way to start each day.
The cabin itself was spacious, clean, and well-equipped. We were a group of friends, and there was plenty of room for everyone to relax and unwind, whether we were hanging out by the cozy fireplace or enjoying the outdoor deck. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals.
The hosts were fantastic, too. They were responsive and ensured we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
Whether you're looking for an adventure in nature or just some downtime with friends, this place is the perfect spot. Highly recommend for anyone seeking a peaceful getaway!
We enjoyed our stay at the secluded forest hideaway. We loved the decor and coziness of the cabin. The bedrooms and living room were roomier than expected. Windows in every room with views of the trees.
We never had a problem with the water which comes from a nearby spring. We even did a load of laundry.
If you don’t like rustic, then this place may not be for you. It was the perfect place for my family.
There were thunderstorms on two nights of our stay where the lights flickered but we never lost power.
The hot tub was a nice way to end our days.
The guestbook contains detailed information on the cabin.
We would definitely reserve again!
Third time staying at this wonderful cabin, so close to Weston and yet so secluded and private in its wooded setting. First time here in early spring, and spotted a trillium growing just by the driveway on arrival. A wonderful welcome. Beds are comfy (with electric blankets for cool Vermont nights), hot tub is divine, day or night under the stars. And it’s just immensely cozy — and well organized. Host Molly labels the whereabouts of everything in the house, from plastic wrap to extra towels, and supplements with a great book of local tips and house instructions. She is also immediately responsive to any questions. Love finding my favorite mug every year among the cool vintage china in the kitchen. Very comfortable to lounge in the living room or on the front porch or back deck. Or to settle into bed at night with a good book. Lots of charm, much convenience and just a sweet spot I look forward to returning to next year again!

Rustic and chilly
The cabin is very rustic in a wooded setting, just as described. Our only concern was that according to the property manager, the only source of heat is a wood-burning stove. We arrived well after the supper hour on a chilly October night and discovered no kindling and no matches. We contacted the owner who told us that we would need to buy our own matches the next day and that we should just get in the hot tub to warm up. She failed to tell us that there were two electric heaters in the bedroom closets.; there was no mention of them in the welcome folder that she instructed us to read. Had we been aware of the heaters and/or been provided with matches,I we would have been perfectly content and cozy.
My husband and I stayed at the cozy cottage for a week in the beginning of October and enjoyed the rustic charm of the cabin. It was well appointed and we really enjoyed the hot tub! Even though there is a wood stove , the electric blankets in the bedroom were much appreciated as it would get quite chilly at night. Just added to the coziness! The town of Weston is a quaint town and close to the Historic Hwy 100 which we took many drives on to admire the gorgeous fall leaves in Vermont! If we had any questions , Molly was quick to respond.
The cabin was perfect in every way. It was beautiful, easy to get to, and close to the stores we were visiting. It was the perfect getaway for my fiancé’s birthday. The hot tub was exquisite. Everything was very very comfortable and accommodating. Thank you so much Molly! We would love to visit again sometime.
Second stay at this wonderful secluded property, still near enough to Weston and far away at the same time. Old-fashioned charm and comfort here, and such fantastic organization within and views without. Already looking forward to my next stay.
Excellent comms with owner; comfy bed and furniture; well labeled and stocked/applianced kitchen; fabulous hot tub; very nice towels, secluded and private. Picking blueberries from the shrubs adds nice touch to breakfasts. No A/C in MBR, which can get warm in Aug.
Everything was really nice, the cabin is cute and cozy. The location is very private and quiet it makes for a very relaxing time. The hot tub is the best part of the entire cabin and it was such a nice and relaxing way to spend the evenings. The only issue was the bed in the master bedroom is very hard and not comfortable at all, the pillows were not very comfortable either.
Our experience in Molly and Kenny's home was amazing. The surrounding area was filled with things to do for our summer vacation and this home was the perfect home base. Molly's communication and details were great so we were able to quickly acclimate to country living for the week. The kitchen was very well stocked and extremely easy to cook in. The outdoor space is gorgeously maintained and our 2 year old adored going outside to "explore" and pick blueberries from the bushes around the house. The hot tub is very clean, easy to use, and a dream for looking up at the stars. We also were able to use the firepit a few times to roast marshmallows as a special treat. I highly recommend this cabin for a small family. We brought a few childproofing tools (gates, doorknob covers) with us, but most spaces were already perfectly safe with minor adjustments. We were there during a bit of a Vermont heat wave in July, but there were plenty of fans and windows to use to keep things at a reasonable temperature. The Wi-Fi is definitely a bit spotty, but that was just fine for us because we were able to focus on spending time outside instead of looking at screens.
Thanks again for sharing your home with us! It was awesome, we hope to return again in the future to keep on exploring!
Such a perfect place to get away from it all, both rustic and classy. Very quiet with just the sounds of nature to accompany your thoughts and conversations. Lots to do in the area if you wish to venture out. A great place for singles, couples and families. We had a wonderful stay!
This secluded cabin in Vermont was just a perfect ending to a wonderful vacation. Everything in the write up was 100% accurate. Fully stocked kitchen, beautiful windows letting the sun in, landscape was wonderful and our favorite spot the back deck with hot tub was perfect! If I have to give a little advice the master bed was a bit hard for us but we managed and I will suggest putting something in the write up about the gravel road and driveway as we were on a trike motorcycle and it was a bit difficult but again manageble. Molly was very easy to get in touch with, we only did to let her know we made it there. The binder was wonderful and easy to follow and lots of information about the area. We really appreciated the elrctric blanket on the bed as saturday morning the temperature was 40 degrees! Thank you Molly for sharing your cabin and we cant wait to go back.
