Gîte "le petit role" ***

On the GR 11 route, in Oncy sur École, a small village adjoining Milly la forêt, the gîte '' le petit role '' (***) takes its name from the place where it is located and offers 150 m2 in a old farmhouse renovated. These houses were built during the 19th century and were used to dry the medicinal plants of Milly as well as his famous peppermint. There is a walled courtyard of 150 m2 as well as garden furniture and a small barbecue. You can park inside or around the house. The shopping center is less than 1 km and the center of Milly la Forêt 1.5 km.

We enjoyed the house, it is spacious, no traffic noises, close to beautiful boulder areas and forest walks. We were with 4 adults and 2 children. Gregory is very helpful in clearing issues and providing help.

Gites spatieux pres du foret des trois pignons

Maison spatieux. Chambres tres grandes. Bons lits. Pres de l intermarcher (1 km) Le proprietair Greg est tres spontanement et reste en contact pour resoudre tous les besoins, ce qu il fait quasi immediatement. Il veut que vous avez vraiment le sentiment de vacanses. Les photos sont realiste.

Mit drei geräumigen Schlafzimmern ideal für Mehrkindfamilien oder zwei Familien (Kinderzimmer mit fünf Betten!). Schöner Innenhof, der zur Straße hin geschlossen ist, ideal für Kleinkinder um draußen zu sein, oder um abends draußen zu sitzen.

We had a great week in this House. It was very Clean, the area was pretty silent and beautifull to relax after getting some experience at bouldering on the Rocks nearby. Greg was a very frendly Host who speaks really good english.

Belle maison au cœur d'un bel endroit

Nous avons passé une semaine d'automne bien agréable en famille. 2 adultes et 3 enfants. Un dortoir avec lits superposés, jeux, lecture pour enfants. Ils ont adorés. Maison très spacieuse. Au programme ballades en forêt, ballades en forêt, ballade en forêt. On reviendra, probablement au printemps !

Ein sehr schönes Quartier an einem sehr schöne Ort

Zu neunt (fünf Erwachsene, vier Kinder) verbrachten wir eine erholsame Boulderwoche in Gregs Haus. Darüber lässt sich nur Gutes berichten: Die Zimmer sind geräumig und liebevoll eingerichtet. Die Küche ist funktional und das Wohnzimmer gemütlich. Sehr schön ist der lange Tisch für die gemeinsamen Frühstücke und Abendessen! Die Toiletten und Bäder sind sauber. Das ADSL/W-Lan hat eine Qualität, die man in Deutschland oft vergeblich sucht. Als wir abends eintrafen, waren die Betten bezogen und für jede/n von uns gab es ein Handtuch. Greg ist ein sehr freundlicher Gastgeber, er spricht perfekt Englisch und kümmert sich rührend um seine Gäste. So gab er uns viele gute Tipps für Sightseeing, Einkauf und Genuss in der Umgebung, die wesentlich mehr zu bieten hat als die vielen Felsblöcke zum Bouldern. Wir können das Quartier uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen und freuen uns selbst auch schon auf den nächsten Besuch dort.

Perfect location for a climbers get away!

As a group of 8 university students we stayed at the cottage for 8 nights. The cottage has everything you could need to make the visit all the more enjoyable and relaxing. From bed linen to kitchen utensils, we never once felt like we were missing something. The beds have a sponge mattress which isn't always to everyone's liking although following a long day of climbing, being able to just sink into that pillow is all the more comforting. The rooms are spacious with large windows to keep the rooms cool at night, multiple plugs around each room so no one needed to fight to charge their phones... Everyone wanted to message their parents I think!! The upstairs bathroom was good, loads of space with a washing machine in the corner which got used once or twice. The upstairs is more suited to be used as a bath as the shower head isn't attached to the wall and you would need to hold onto it. Downstairs there is a separate shower room and toilet. My only feedback for the downstairs would be to install a lock on the downstairs toilet, not the end of the world although sometimes saw more than I wanted to. Greg was a great host to us all, offering local information on areas to visit and walks to complete on those unwanted rainy days. Checking up on our group every few days making sure everything was going well, very polite and friendly with great English skills... I only wished I could return the favour by speaking some French. We didn't car the cars on the property and instead down the road a little, its a very quiet area with very few cars passing by so the vehicles are safe to be parked by the road. This allowed for more space in the court yard area to relax and catch those few extra rays on sun before night came. I would recommend the property to all my climbing friends, with only a minute drive to the nearest supermarket and the local crags only being 5-10 minutes further down the road. Like the title suggests, it truly is the perfect location for a climbers get away. Thank you Greg for your part in making our trip very memorable.
