Siena is a romantic and quiet city of the province closed to the. traffic of machines. The old town is ztl within the walls can not enter with the cars there are paid parking areas see the website www. sienaparcheggi. co. for details. I recommend if you arrive by car at the station only 15 minutes from the center and the cheapest about 3 € per day ... in front of the bus station and taxi. bus price q. 50 taxis 10-12 € approx
If you take the bus to the center, ask for the one to Piazza Gramsci, 10 minutes walk from the apartment.
Siena is pleasant to walk in the historic alleys .... the owner lives in the building of the apartment for rent and is available for every need

Relaxing stay and great host

Costanza was a wonderful and very responsive host. The part of the property we stayed on is exactly as described. Super private, quiet, great place to unwind. Supermarkets close by. Quick access to Florence. Definitely recommend!!!

Perfect location

We absolutely loved the character and location of this unique property. It is located in a 1000-year old (though updated) building, within easy, walkable access to many fantastic restaurants, a little grocery store and the main historical sites of Siena. The property manager was extremely communicative, and allowed us to check in early when we arrived, which was very helpful. Our only regret is that we couldn't stay longer. I highly recommend this property!

This is a lovely apartment in the heart of Siena. Vrey clean and well furnished. Beautiful living room / kitchen with a wonderful fire place. Nice large bedroom. Highly secure apartment and very safe. Everything is within walking distance including the Piazza del Campo and the Duomo. Costanza, who owns the apartment, was a wonderful hostess and very friendly. She also does excellent cooking classes that are highly recommended and very delicious! We would definitely stay here again!

Historical Rental in Perfect Location

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Costanza's spacious apartment. The location is walking distance to all the tourist attractions and great affordable restaurants, a gelateria and a small grocery store. The best part of the rental is its host! Constanza lives right across the hall and is readily available for anything you need. While we were there for our 30 day stay the fridge went out and Costanza had a new one installed right away. For the inconvenience she treated us to a delicious home cooked Italian meal. She gives Italian cooking classes and we would highly recommend you sign up for one. Loved staying at a property that is approximately 1000 years old and living among the locals. Highly recommend this lovely rental.

Location AND a Fireplace

My husband and I have been on day trips to Siena several times but wanted to stay in Siena to get to know it in the evenings and night times. When looking for an apartment, we knew we wanted something very close to Il Campo. Being from south Florida, I wanted a fireplace since we never need one at home! When this apartment popped up, it looked perfect! The description is accurate and it was wonderful to experience a rustic, Italian apartment in a building that has been in the owner's family for a very long time. The weather was unusually cool so we even got to light the fire a couple of times and sip the wine that our hostess, Costanza provided to us--what a wonderful way to spend the evening after a day of exploring! On arrival, Costanza greeted us warmly and her son, Giorgio, carried our bags up the stairs to the apartment. We were early for check-in (it was still being cleaned from the last guests) , but Costanza let us leave our luggage, use the bathroom and gave us keys for our return. The apartment is quite large by European standards, with high ceilings and big windows. The colors are very Tuscan. The washing machine worked quite well for us and the shower water was always hot. I can't say enough about how much we liked this place. We will certainly be using it again when we return to this area! Thank you, Costanza!

Gem in Sienna City

We spent a week in this apartment while visiting our college aged son in mid-April. The apartment was perfect for our needs. The apartment is in a perfect location. It is in the old center with few cars on the street. There are people talking below which we only heard with the windows open. Rarely a problem at night. Costanza is the consummate host. She lives across the hall and is available if you need anything. She is a lot of fun. We took her cooking class which provided us with some delicious yet accessible dishes. Perfect for my son to take back to the States. Costanza even joined us one evening after dinner bringing over more wine to share! The apartment has a large kitchen-living-dining room that we used a lot for entertaining. The lighting is dim but with all the lamps on at night it was comfortable. I’m sure Costanza would be happy to lend a few candles to make it even cozier. We lit a fire a few times which was perfect for the spring chill. The kitchen has a lot of dishes for entertaining and most things you need to make a good meal. I’m sure Costanza would be happy to lend you whatever special tool you may need to finish the dish. The bed is firm like all European beds. Then linens and towels were nice and plush. The shower is small. This is a 1000 year old building hosted by a countess! The apartment was very comfortable and served our needs perfectly. We will stay here again when we return to Sienna.

Misrepresented, Very Disappointing

We’ve used VRBO, HomeAway, for 10 years, staying at 45-50 apartments, and we have a guest rating of 5 stars. This is the first time we have used such a rating. Positives are: good location, spacious, plenty of storage. That’s it. We needed air-conditioning, a lift, and a washer, knowing it would be hot, late July-early August. So we booked almost a year ahead to get these features for our 2 week stay. No lift, no AC. Owner showed us two fan units and insisted they were AC. Only after taking a cooking lesson in her apartment the next night did we Discover SHE had real AC. So the following night, we complained that the heat was intolerable; only then did she have her son bring over one of her real AC units. So every day, we had to disconnect and reconnect to lift and move huge, heavy piece from living area to bedroom to get any relief from the sweltering apt. Fireplace smelled, gas stove didn’t work, until we cleaned the greased over burners, and rooms were dark. Entire place needs top to bottom cleaning, floors especially, cupboard doors, table top! Bathroom is located at far rear of unit, through bedroom, up 6 stairs, down a hall, and then you arrive. Simply not up to the standards we have come to expect from your company. Lying about amenities and presenting a dirty old apartment is unacceptable. Owner offered to refund our money, but at this busy season with one day notice, where could we possibly go. So “we cleaned and managed”. We took many pictures of the condition of the apartment, if needed.

My two months in Siena, Italy

From the moment I got out of my taxi, I was greeted by the owner, Costanza. She and her assistant, Asia, treated me like a long lost friend! I was hours late but they were still waiting! I climbed up the stairs to my top floor apartment and was happy with what I saw. Everything I needed was there! The kitchen with a gas stove was just what I needed. There was a dishwasher as well as the stove and large fridge. There was also a washing machine for my clothes and everything else was extraordinary! The place was clean and nicely presented with a huge bed and a pull out bed for my friends to stay when they visited.Throughout my stay, Costanza was always available to help out. She is warm and understanding beyond belief! On my final night after a two month stay, she cooked a wonderful five course meal with plenty of red wine. She teaches cooking, so I knew that I was in for a treat. When leaving, Costanza organized a taxi and a person to lift my very heavy suitcase.Overall, it was a marvellous experience!Definitely a place to return to!

A very nice and clean apartment in a convenient location and the host is extremely helpful and close at hand. Just remember to bang the washer door closed if it displays an error code!

Buyer beware!

This property has not been cleaned and upgraded over time to match the photos in the listing. We were shocked at how dirty and dinghy the stairwell had become. There were boxes of various items (maybe trash) at the bottom of the stairs and at the top. The stairs were difficult to navigate due to their worn-smooth condition. To be fair, my wife and I are older and carrying heavy suitcases is difficult for me. There was no one to assist with getting our bags up two flights to the apartment. The owners response to that was that she is not responsible to get our luggage into the apartment, although she did say her son would bring up our bags later after 8 pm. I would say that anyone renting their apartment to people should know that assistance should be available as needed for their guests. Buyer beware!Once in the apartment, we didn’t like the dark rooms and lack of lighting. The owner showed us around and gave me the keys. Once alone, my wife started to cry and asked me if I really wanted her to stay there for 5 nights. She was very unhappy and wanted to leave. I immediately agreed and we left the apartment and returned the keys.The owner would not agree to canceling the rental. VRBO wouldn’t do anything. We lost 5 nights of rent.The owner will refute what I have said. She has not kept the apartment in good condition. What we saw does not match the photos. Buyer beware.I urge you to read all the reviews, especially the low ones. They are in line with what we saw.

Short stay in Siena!

The property is beautiful and amazing! The host is as well. She also offers a cooking class which I highly recommend. Building is a short taxi ride from the train station. It is located in perfect walking distance to shopping, restaurants, and the piazza, Duomo, and Torre. Space is clean and comfortable and absolutely charming. Loved my stay in Siena!
