Every square foot has been strategically designed with a tasteful twist of sweet Charleston charm and beach house elegance. The color palate is warm and inviting, making you feel right at home from the moment you kick off your shoes.
The open concept of the Main House, main level was designed to provide the ultimate gathering space, perfect for your next “reunion”. A few nights in the fall, a whole family get together for the holidays, or a full week in the summer, you are sure to enjoy.
Plan to cook up your family favorites in this chef friendly kitchen, equipped with brand new stainless-steel appliances throughout, double oven, side-by-side fridge, and every kitchen gadget imaginable. The dining room offers a unique restored table for 6, a drop leaf table for 4 and an addition 5 bar top seats in the kitchen. Around the corner from the dining room sits a powder room with unique charm.
Down the carpeted stairs to the quiet and relaxing basement. The entertainment room offers a large flat screen TV, plush seating and Queen sleeper sofa for 2.

The courtyard behind Reunion House is trimmed with beautiful seating areas, tables for outdoor dining and the glow of strung party lights to set the tone. Fire up the grill or the fire pit and enjoy.

This is a game like tennis but one where any number can play and the ball is hit more than once on one side of the net. Sometimes more than one ball is in play!

Reviewer Comments: This was the 3rd house we’ve stayed at in Beach walk with our 3 generation family annual vacation. We loved how close it was to the beach & the pool. We couldn’t enjoy the outside areas because of the smell of cat urine, because someone is feeding all the stray cats(& raccoons)next to the garage. Inside the guest house smelled like cat urine too.

The location to the beach was excellent. You have to mindful of the traffic. We did have a problem with the AC while we were there that left us sleeping uncomfortably for two nights. We had unseasonable heat of 93 degrees days for three days and the AC couldn't keep up. Other than that, great place, location and accommodations.

We probably should have notified the company, but we just cleaned it upon arrival because it was late when we all arrived. It wasn't vacuumed and we kept finding fake nails on the floor. The mattresses and furniture could use some updating. It was a great location- just wish it had been cleaner.

We had a nice time even though the weather wasn’t great all the time.

The table, tennis, pool table, and foosball helped a lot with the fact that it rained one day. The fishing after dinner was a hit with all the kids & they all caught at least one fish. Pool was great on the hot days. Kids played basketball & enjoyed the park. We didn’t have beach towels which were supposed to be included but the staff provided a few more towels. Nice to have an outside tv. The photos were a little misleading. The living room space on the first floor is very small for 20 people. Thankful for the covered porches. We suggest putting some of the tables from the second floor porch on the first floor so people can eat there. Some sleeping rooms did not have enough covers. We had a wonderful family vacation. Thank you.

BEST location, but house needs help

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: First - this house is the BEST location to the beach! My family absolutely loved it and I’m so so grateful for the experience! However, there were some issues. The first being the beds. The fold out sofa bed upstairs in the guest house is completely lopsided, one of the queen mattresses in the basement is also completely worn in and lopsided, and a trundle bed upstairs is broken. We lost a lot of bed space and I’m thankful one cousin and her family didn’t make it or we would have been in trouble. It’s also confusing why there are trundles in the room when you can’t really fully open them. The organization of the bedrooms could be improved a bit.Second being the INTENSE smell of cat urine in the guest house. For some reason, the owner has the garage door propped open for all the stray cats in the neighborhood. This would be totally fine if the home didn’t reek of cat pee. It’s very off-putting and hard to be in. The freezer in the main house stopped making ice. 2 lights are burnt out in the kitchen ceiling. Sink in downstairs bathroom is leaking. Towel holder in the upstairs bathroom fell off the first hand wash of the weekend. Water filter light in the guest house is red. Middle burners of the larger grill don’t light.Overall we might try another home in the same area unless some of those things get fixed.

Framily Vacation!

We had a great time, and overall enjoyed the close proximity to the beach and other areas of Beachwalk. The common areas inside the house are a little tight if you plan on having a lot of kids around. For us, we didn't have great weather so we were inside a lot. Too much furniture, and the rugs were really annoying how they bunched up at entryway doors and when moving around chairs. The main grill was not setup/working for us. Additionally, it would have been nice to have at least one cabinet that could store pantry food instead of clogging up the counters. The washing machine wouldn't drain sometimes. The main park was under construction, and the putting green was in rough shape. Seems like BWVR should have put a little more thought into their facilities management for the cost of rentals during the summer. We definitely plan on going back, but surprised by some of the items mentioned above.

We took full advantage of everything the property has, including the firepit, courtyard area, and spacious bedrooms. The Beachwalk community has enough for you to do to spend an extended stay without ever leaving! We will for sure be back

Easy access to grocery, Indiana Dunes, downtown Michigan City. There were a few issues with cleaning - in particular, a large chunk of broken glass that was partially under the living room rug and couch. Could have used a more thorough vacuum/look-over prior to our stay. Super convenient that we could text the management office if we had any questions or concerns. Loved the Reunion House overall!

You can't get closer to the beach than this house! Also just want to mention that both the Beachwalk staff was super helpful with reservation process, and owner stopped by to answer any questions we had, very nice! We plan to return!
