Location is central to beaches, food and sites. Furniture was clean and comfy. The garage was great for an area short on parking. Elevated suite had great views and very private and secure. Everything worked in the kitchen. The mattress was a little soft for me. The patio doubled the living area? Great Spot!
This property was just as advertised in the listing
Perfect location, beautifully decorated.
My only suggestion to the management company was that the kitchen could use a few more accessories to acutally.
I know most people do not cook on vacation.
They were very receptive and always helpful
Great place to stay, view was fantastic, apartment light and airy, parking garage underneath convenient. A few issues regarding the kitchen: only two dish towels for a two weeks stay, no serving dishes or mixing bowls, no hot pads. Suggest you see full review at Mission Sands management.
My boyfriend and I stayed here for 7 days and it was just perfect! We loved the convenience and privacy of parking our car in the garage and just walking up to our place. The size of the bungalow was also perfect because it gave us enough space to spread out, cook meals, watch movies, enjoy the weather, etc. The kitchen was well equipped and easy to work in. I'd say only thing missing was a dresser for us to unload our suitcases into. Otherwise a lovely spot that we'd love to stay at again!
Super easy to access, everything was clean. The fans provided were a huge bonus (no AC) as well as the beach cruisers. There's a bike lock but no key (so definitely bring your own) and no tire pump (you can fill at a gas station/mechanic). There were more than enough kitchen supplies. Great location, we rode bikes to the beach and main area with restaurants/bars (~10-15 minutes, we're athletic so we didn't mind the hills).
The guesthouse is a great location for access to N Pacific Beach, Birdrock and La Jolla. It was very comfortable for a week stay and especially enjoyed the balcony. We had access to the gas grill which was great though the kitchen needs more dishes. The garage made it easier to unload the car - helpful since there is a full flight of stairs to get to the unit. We were there in early October and kept the drapes closed to keep the guesthouse from getting too warm on sunny days. This was our second stay and we hope to stay again in the future.
Pros: Easy access to freeways & driving around PB/La Jolla. Loved the private garage, quiet neighborhood, comfortable for 2. The kitchen is adequately stocked (we enjoyed a take-out Thanksgiving there).
Cons: The apartment is more dated than the photos appear, the patio wasn't quite as wonderful as I imagined. There is no AC or heat.
Bottom line: It was a good place to make our home base for a week in the mild November weather.
It was a nice small apartment in a good location but needs some maintenance work.
No dishwasher as it says in the description.
The kitchen is minimaly equipped.
No mixing bowls. No dish rack.
No floor mop. The sliding doors to the patio was very hard to open and close.
No Kleenex, No Dish cloth, Kitchen utensils are filthy, No drain plug for kitchen sink and no dishwasher. Labelled obvious light switches but disregarded labelling the garburator in the kitchen which isn’t mentioned in the listing and is a safety hazard. Very beaten up, scuffed, chipped, cracked with cheap attempts to coverup “renovations”. No oven mitt. Patio door doesn’t close so can’t latch/cannot be locked. The map shows a closer location. It is 7 blocks further away from the beach than shown. Bathtub drain is very slow, likely plugged, tub pools with water during showers. Floors are in need repair/replacement. Large cracks & chips, they’re wood, hopefully no one gets a cut or sliver & they’re filthy. Carpets have stains and are dirty. Coffee pot lid is broken. Curtain rods are propped up & barely hanging on - Safety concern! Towels have stains. 1looked like mascara from a previous guest. Stove is gas, has 2 settings low or high. Only attempted to cook on low & everything burnt. Range hood is purely “decorative” not ventilation. Wifi stopped working after less than 48 hours. Tried every possible way to contact the host (both email addresses, website, phone, VRBO, IG) zero response! Indoor and outdoor furniture shown on listing do not exist
We are here in San Diego for our daughters college graduation and to help her remove furniture from her shared apartment.
We had rented a mini van and was happy for the two car garage which held the van perfectly - it must be longer than stated.
The patio was great with shade and sun and pleasant breezes. We were also given a couple nights with fireworks from Sea World and a lovely full moon.
The kitchen is stocked with just the bare minimum of cooking utensils and although I did not cook, I noticed only two skillets, one large cooking pot and one round baking sheet. Do not remember seeing a colander.
I would not bring small children to this unit since one of the living room windows has no screen and a second floor drop onto concrete not to mention all the steps up to living area- not good for those with mobility issues either.
I enjoy trying different places to stay and the patio saved the days with this one but I would not return or recommend to others.
Things such as curtains rods that are broken although usable, light shade that does not fit the standing lamp in LR, and worn throw and bed make me feel like they are not keeping up the unit.

Good Times
The Bungalow we stayed in is in a great area. The beach is only a 1.1 mile walk. The outdoor deck was my favorite. There are great views from there. Over all it was a nice place to stay.
Loved everything about our stay! Check in and out were easy. The full car garage made parking and unloading a breeze! Great location in a quiet area of PB, close to great surfing spots and everything San Diego has to offer!
The location is bomb! The no AC and minimal supplies definitely makes things a bit tough for anything more than a weekend stay. I’d say if you’re coming for a long weekend and it’s not 80+ degrees this place is a good spot! 25 min walk to the ocean and bars and they do provide two bikes which came in clutch!
Loved the garage I had and honestly the place was pretty quite at night which was nice. Overall had a great stay here!
The place was very clean and close to where we wanted to be. Instructions on how to use the tv would have been helpful but in all we enjoyed our stay there. Thanks
Property really needs a deep clean - there were traces of glitter everywhere.
Property could use some paint touches and tidying up, ie paints cans and junk in the garage.
Some of the bath towels were stained.
A spare set of keys for the entire property was discovered in the bottom of the toaster
This place is so cute and we felt very comfortable. It's perfect for couples 💑
We loved the privacy and the sweet balcony! We visit P.B. alot and loved this location.Loved the decor and the beachy vibes.Thank you we will return, possibly in March or April! This is my favorite spot out of 6 years of staycationing!

The door knob to the bungalow is falling off the door-the carpets were visibly dirty, the sliding door to the balcony was off track and very difficult to open, the mattress was old, used and not comfortable, it was no where close to the Pacific Ocean, the fees-unbelievably assessed.
A Few Inexpensive Touches Could Improve the space greatly!
Pull-out sofa mattress is VERY THIN!!! No ice trays, pitcher, or wine glasses. No a/c, and window screens did not fit properly and fell out completely several times. While open windows cooled the unit well, it is far too noisy of a location to not have a/c. The outdoor space is nice, but a string or two of patio lights would be nice.
The garage is a plus, but it would be nice to offer beach equipment - chairs, umbrella, boogie boards, maybe a small cooler for guests to use. Rentals are available, but expensive!
While we were able to get a later check out due to illness - 10 am is too early for most people.
