Enjoy the charm of a 1940's beach cottage right in the heart of San Diego.

Just 10-15 minutes drive from the airport this place is centrally located and close to downtown San Diego and Balboa Park,

Second floor accommodations just one block to sand water in Ocean Beach neighborhood of San Diego.

This one bedroom cottage is one of four in the same complex whereby all of the units are vacation rentals.

Plenty of privacy as this place is situated above the garage and has covered patio.

Sleeps up to four guests with a king bed and a full sized convertible sleeper sofa.

Please note the open floor plan as wall between the bedroom and living room does not go to the ceiling.

All linens and bath & beach towels provided.

Fully stocked kitchen.

Beach gear includes; 2 chairs, wagon, umbrella and cooler

Ocean Beach in the flight path of the San Diego airport. Planes can begin taking off at 6:30 am and the last departures typically occur around 11:30 pm. There is a curfew in place that prohibits departures between 11:30 pm and 6:30 am.

Super cute unit with everything you need. Great location with good food close by. We were able to get street parking for part of our stay so only used the private parking a few times. The private spot is not for those who have never done tight, atypical city parking. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the privacy this unit had to offer.

Such a convenient short walk to the beach and all the restaurants/shops in OB. Love the decorations and great spot for a couple’s getaway. Very responsive host, too!

Cute place, block from the beach. Colorful, beachy, comfortable place. Had everything we needed in the kitchen and for the beach. Very comfortable bed and great bedding. Enjoyed our stay.

Perfect!

Loved this charming bungalow! It was perfect for a long weekend with my daughter. Everything was exactly as described and communicating with Katrina was always responsive! Would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful whimsical getaway!

We were very pleased with the location, convenience, and cute decor that this cottage afforded/had. The cottage was quiet and cozy. The owner of this cottage was very professional, accommodating, and easy to communicate with. She was very sweet and allowed us to drop our bags off and safely store them before we actually could check in.

Location and privacy

Can't beat the proximity to the beach and shops/restaurants. The unit is at the back of the property, above a garage, and we heard any rustling just the ocean and sounds of OB. Enjoyed coffee on the porch area each morning.

Great location, cute beach town

Eclectic property reminded me of the California of my youth. Really cute and fun digs. Walking distance to restaurants and shopping was great. 1 block to beach was awesome. Landlord was very approachable. TV had some reception issues but we didn't care. So many other things to do in the area! Breakfast Republic is the bomb.

Great location. Apartment was clean and comfortable. Good bed. Direct TV did not work most of the time which was frustrating, especially on rainy days. Would recommend it if they fix the TV issue.

Parking nightmare

If you arrive any evening after 4 pm, you will have to park 3 to 5 blocks away and walk through a dark neighborhood. Also, the outside stairway is not lit and there is no handrail.

Quaint but not great

I stayed here for over a week in June 2021. The place is quaint with cute decorations. It is close to the beach- 2 blocks which was nice and it has good air conditioning. However, I was not impressed and these are my reasons why. The kitchen utensils were not that great. The kitchen counter and silverware was a little dirty. I’m assuming the prior guest really did not wash silverware that well. Unfortunately, there is no dishwasher. The countertop is tile and there was dried food in the grout. The place is smaller than pictures look. Bed is hard. The area is very loud! Very Close to the airport so planes start flying over at 5:30am and go until about midnight…. All day long. The streets around the area smelled like pee and there was a bunch of trash. So I was disappointed there. The garage is over 3 blocks away. It was kind of annoying. Lastly, the owner accused us of bringing a dog (because cleaning people said so) when we didn’t and she tried to charge us extra. We got in a Argument. She said she had security camera, I said great! Look at it and you will see it wasn’t true. She never apologized. Would I refer my friends to stay here, no I wouldn’t.

We LOVED this place! Cold A/C, new appliances, comfortable mattress, nice big TV, and only a 5-min. walk to Dog Beach. After a day at the beach, it was great to return to our cozy little home. Oh, BTW, it was fully equipped with beach necessities: wagon, umbrella, boogie board, etc. and even a washer and dryer for our wet, sandy clothes. Highly recommended!

I’ll touch on some things not usually mentioned in these reviews besides location, cleanliness, blah, blah, blah.- We brought a hidden camera finder, and the coast was clear… not to mention, the nearby Coast was clear of any drama (huge beach!)- the provided DirecTV was excellent… There are even several movies, etal. saved on the DVR that can entertain while relaxing- Infrequent Airplanes can be noisy in the A.M… but we used a Bluetooth Speaker and went to iPhone - Settings - Accessibility - Audio & Video - Background Sounds — and blasted Rain Sounds — We slept VERY well.- If you have a vehicle longer than a standard 4-door Sedan, the garage will not be accommodating… but depending on the season, street parking might be available a block or two away. (it IS an excellent tourist location, so what do you expect?)
