One of four vacation rentals just one block to water and beaches in Ocean Beach neighborhood of San Diego.

Just a short 5 block walk to Newport Avenue, the heart of Ocean Beach where you will find plenty of restaurants, bars and shopping.

Centrally located in San Diego this place is close airport, downtown San Diego and Balboa Park.

Approximately 550 square feet in size this place feels quite roomy as ceilings are open beam and vaulted.

Sleeps 4, one queen bed in bedroom and queen sleeper sofa

Beach gear includes the following: wagon, cooler, 2 beach chairs and umbrella

Ocean Beach in the flight path of the San Diego airport. Planes can begin taking off at 6:30 am and the last departures typically occur around 11:30 pm. There is a curfew in place that prohibits departures between 11:30 pm and 6:30 am.

Perfect Location!

We enjoyed our stay at Pippi's Paradise! The location was a block from the beach. It was an easy walk to restaurants, shops, and the dog beach. Clean, comfy and quiet, even on a weekend!

Family Trip to SD

The property was as described, clean, quiet and while small, perfect for a family by the beach. Seemed like it was 10 minutes from anywhere. Would stay again and highly recommend. The garage is a huge plus seeing parking is a premium.

Great location

This property is a great location with easy access to everything around the San Diego area. Very clean and offered everything you need. Only caution I would include is the parking, the garage is VERY tight, have to really pay attention. We had a Nissan Sentra and felt like it barely fit, especially with the minimal radius to pull in. Witnessed another tenant trying to pull in and she totally damaged the passenger side of the garage and garage frame. So use extreme caution when pulling in or try to park on the street, which we did some. Feel a little misleading when they say you can park a large SUV, but Still give it 5 star overall!!

Enjoyable Stay

This cottage is exactly as described within walking distance of everything the friendly beach neighborhood has to offer. Well equipped with more than ample starter supplies, access to laundry and off street parking. Hope to be back again!

Safe and Sound, Cute Cottage

Location is amazing on two counts. About a block from the beach and three blocks from all the action and an amazing surf. Secondly, OB does have a homeless problem, like most of CA, but this cottage is one of four behind a big green opaque fence and that felt safe. I hope to be back.

Beachy vintage cottage

A real plus is the off street parking as there is little to none available. Great restaurants and things to do in the area. The airport flight path is directly overhead which we knew from reading other reviews.

Cozy Beach Cottage

First time in Ocean Beach and loved every minute of our five day visit! Close to the airport, the cozy beach cottage is within walking distance to the beach, bars, restaurants and a market half a block away for essentials. No need for a car at all! The cottage itself is super cute with colorful folk art and furnishings, all immaculately clean. We will definitely be back!

Bad experience

The host was seemingly intentionally aggressive-I had to block her number and complain to vrbo after our stay. At one point she showed up unannounced and expected to be immediately left in without any notice. She called, texted and messaged incessantly even after I’d replied and told her I was at the beach with my daughter and the issue (plumbing) was resolved. The front door lock didn’t work and she kept telling us this was fine because the flimsy screen door that didn’t even reach the bottom did. The plumbing backed up at one point making the shower/tub, sinks and toliet unusable. The bedroom light didn’t work. She said we could have a late checkout, we had to extend our stay due to a flight issue and then when we stayed and checked out at 1130 as planned the next day she tried to charge us 200 for it which is listed nowhere and wasn’t discussed. We left the place in wonderful shape (she had a ton of cleaning rules and little notes with more rules outside of her 5 page document of rules all over the place and we followed them all and then some). If you’d like to relax on your trip I couldn’t recommend this host less. She also made creepy comments about seeing us on cameras. There was also an ant and fruit fly infestation.
