Log cabin w/sauna, cinema, deck, tree house, trampoline AND easy walk to town.

Get away from it all and relax in our peaceful mountain retreat - complete with outdoor sauna, home cinema and a large private deck with mountain views and BBQ, plus a tree house, play equipment and trampoline for the kids. There’s something for everyone in our cozy rustic log cabin.

With stylish Scandinavian mid century furniture and a vintage audiophile sound system, you can unwind by the roaring open fire - your ‘hygge’ / cozy-contentment levels will be well and truly met! Quite deliberately, we don’t have a television at the cabin, however with unlimited high speed internet you can stream to your heart’s content - bring your own blu rays for the movie screen, or use our complimentary Netflix account. We also have a well stocked cupboard full of board games.

You can take your mountain relaxation to another level - the cabin has a traditional Finnish sauna! With proven wellness properties, there’s nothing more rejuvenating than sitting in the fresh air after a sauna. Towels provided for Sauna are placed in a bin in the changing room next to the sauna, also there are robes provided.

Set back off the road, the cabin is secluded and private. However, in just 5 minutes walk you can be in the charming Pine Mountain Club village, with its restaurants and shops.

At 6000 ft, Pine Mountain Club is a beautiful mountain community nestled at the base of Mt. Pinos and surrounded by the Los Padres National Forest. Home to the rare Californian Condor and Southern California’s clearest night skies, with fresh pine scented mountain air - it’s hard to believe you are 90 mins drive from downtown Los Angeles. But best of all the Pine Mountain Clubhouse has a swimming pool, golf course, games room, bar and cafe - all of which you can access with our guest pass.

Within 20 minutes from the cabin, you can be atop Mt. Pinos - a mountain paradise in summer and winter wonderland in winter with a manned Nordic ski base. If you want snow play, there’s no better place. Although, we do know a few other secret spots ; )
(and we do have a sled you can use under the deck).

Everything is included in your stay, just bring your own groceries. We hope to see you soon at the Maplewood Cabin.

Great location

Great place and host! We loved the location near town, the clear instructions and information, and the AC was appreciated. Well provisioned and clean! Our dog loved the quiet deck and getting away from fireworks too.

Great getaway for small families

We had a great time in the mountains. Close to stores if needed, but tucked away off the main streets and very quiet. Excellent for a family of four with small kids. We appreciated all of the toys, books, and outside activities that were available for the kids. Cute cozy cabin.

Perfect Christmas getaway for a young family

We stayed for Christmas-there was a tree with lights installed when we arrived! The trampoline and closet full of toys was perfect for our two-year-old. Cozy, tasteful and comfortable cabin.

Another relaxing stay!

We’ve stayed here a few times now and will be back. The location is perfect, 5 minute walk to the village, short drive to multiple hiking spots. And oh-so-quiet! Everyone we met, whether local, business owners, or other visitors, was so friendly. Maybe it’s all that fresh air that put us all in good moods.

Will definitely stay here again!

This cabin is really cute and has some pretty awesome amenities. Check in and check out were super easy. While it's not as remote as I thought, the location was really spectacular. It's close to the town center without feeling like it's in a neighborhood. It's within 5 minutes driving from two hiking trails that were great for my family. And the town center is very cute with seemingly family owned restaurants, cafes, and shops.

Great little place

We loved this place and hope to return. It was the perfect size and set up for our family of four. Lots for the littles to do, and we enjoyed movie night on the projector. There was great communication regarding our stay and some winter weather advisories. In the end we had a great time and made it up the mountain to play in the snow too.

Nice Little Cabin in a Beautiful Location, Great for Families or Couples for a quiet getaway. Located to the little Pine Mountain Club town and includes access to a community pool. The place is clean and has everything you need for a relaxing trip including a place for kids to play on a trampoline, a cute treehouse, even some toys and board games provided. Very fast internet, sauna, and the most amazing night sky keeps the parents happy. The host is very responsive and willing to help with any questions.

Family fun!

My boyfriend, son, and I had a fantastic time at the cabin! There was plenty for 9 year old son to keep busy, he wants to learn the piano the now :) my boyfriend and I caught up on tons of rest and relaxation during the visit, and LOVED bird watching from the lovely back deck. Would love to return!!

Lovely cabin, great spot

We spent a nice quiet week here with our dog. Grateful for the a/c since it was hotter than usual! Enjoyed listening to live music from town while we had dinner on the back deck. And a quick walk to town for pickup from the restaurants. Lots of hikes nearby, or hang out in the hammock & listen to the birds. The cabin is exactly as advertised and had everything we needed. Communication about the property was thorough with fast responses. We will definitely be back!

Perfect location!

Cute cabin, amazing location that is just a short walk to the village, lake, and great hiking trails. The cabin could use a little updating, but we found it charming. Note that the listing says 2 queens but the second bedroom has two twins (better for kids!). The view from the back deck is stunning, and we loved the giant screen for movie night.

Great Getaway in the Mountains!

The listing and areas were exactly as described and we certainly want to come back and stay for longer to great an even better feel for the space. The cabin was comfortable, safe and quiet. The issues that we have weren't related to the property but with the directions from our phones as they initially had us park on Freeman when we should have arrived on Maplewood. I would like a bit more lighting for the address marker to get into the driveway but that's a small thing when compared to the property itself.Being able to just unwind and relax on the deck and then in the sauna were much needed aspects. Stay for as long as you can to get out into the hills!

Cozy spot

Great little spot for a small family. Has the basics covered, clean, and we really enjoyed movie night with the projector. Walking distance to park and a restaurant or two. Short easy drive to summer hikes or winter snow. We’ve come two years in a row now because my kiddos love it so much.

Charming Cabin / Lovely Host / Needs a Little Spring Cleaning

The cabin is charmingly rustic. The projector tv worked well (have always wanted to try one) and the streaming / internet was solid. Nice to have a washer / dryer for use as well.The cabin did need a full and very deep cleaning. We stayed right after the Christmas holiday so maybe the cabin turn-around wasn’t on point. Apart from cosmetic cleaning, the bathroom shower area really needs to be addressed. Dusting from top to bottom is critical too. My allergies went nuts, preventing me from literally any sleep.The host was responsive and gracious and said the matter would be addressed promptly. We booked the cabin for 5 days but had to move to a different rental in PMC after the 1st night because of the cleanliness. The host was very accommodating and actually reimbursed the remainder of the days, which was unexpected but very appreciated.I would absolutely stay there again (if and only if) it was deep cleaned (and the bathroom shower area was resolved).The cleaners need good training to consider everything from a guest perspective. It really is a charming cabin.

Cabin life!

This place had us wanting to stay longer! If you are looking for cozy cabin feels; getting off the grid and enjoying the mountain air - this is it!Beds: those memory foam mattresses are amazing! I came to CA for a race and they had me race ready and cared for all the after race pains. Kitchen: has everything you need.Shared spaces: didn’t feel cramped even though it’s an open floor plan. The only thing that tripped us up was the heat. Instead of being turned down when we arrived, it was completely off, so it took time for the mini splits to warm up the cabin from 40 degrees. When they say keep them at 68 - it does get super toasty! 10/10 we would come back in a heartbeat: Also - The Perch bar down the street has sneaky good food and cocktails! Highly recommend.

Weekend Getaway

This is my second time staying here since 2021! So cute, cozy and peaceful! The sauna and cinema style tv are a great addition to this cabin. Mountain Cabin
