We enjoyed our stay. The house is beautiful. Not a lot of activities in Nelsonville, but close to everything we wanted to do. Innkeeper is cheerful and a good cook.
Upon arrival, it was immediately apparent that the property had not been adequately cleaned or maintained prior to our stay. We found dead bugs, visible spiderwebs, dirty and stained floors, debris throughout the home, and what appeared to be an old piece of sandwich crust/food left on the mantel. In addition to the cleanliness issues, multiple walls and ceilings showed significant water staining and discoloration, along with cracked, peeling, and deteriorating paint/plaster. The hot tub also had visible discoloration/residue and did not appear to be in a condition in which we felt comfortable using it.This went well beyond an older property having normal cosmetic imperfections. The presence of dead insects, spiderwebs, food debris, and visibly dirty surfaces made us question whether the property had been thoroughly cleaned at all between guests. Combined with the extensive water damage and deterioration visible throughout portions of the home, we did not feel comfortable staying at the property.

The house was clean which is a big plus. There seemed to be miscommunication. Breakfast was not at the house we were staying at; it was across the street at their other house. No one bothered to tell us this before we booked or at check-in. There was no Keurig Coffee Maker however they did have the pods for the coffee maker. It was just not what we were expecting.
Lovely place, and I appreciated the hot breakfast on the weekend. The only item I might suggest is to have a mini fridge in each room so that guests can put leftovers in... I highly recommend it!
In general, the stay was good. The breakfast could have been better; more variety and fresher. The house needs some attending too, some paint peeling, windows need sealing or repair. The check in process was okay, but the directions needed a map, and a sign on the front lawn would be helpful.
Everything went smooth. Did not have breakfast as we had to leave by 9am and were unsure of the timing because our breakfast slip was still on the counter from the day before. The place was very clean and it was easy to find our room.
The check in processes, although off property, was smooth and very close. The house was really nice, clean, and quiet. There were other guests and we couldn’t hear anything when we were in our room. The window AC kept us nice and cool while it was very hot outside. The hot breakfast on Sunday was very tasty and Angel (who cooks and cleaned there) was so sweet and welcoming. We ate breakfast in the dining room at one large table with another couple. A much more intimate experience than you’ll get at any hotel. We were also only 20min from Athens, and about 15min from hocking hills/Logan. Had a great stay!
Looks like a poor part of town, did not feel safe. House was old, cracked walls, peeling paint, could hear any noise in the rest of the house. No lights on front porch (difficult getting in), no light in upstairs hallway. Had to use cell phone light to get into house & bedroom.

Friendly
Fulfilled our needs. Very clean. Angel was so nice. She felt like a friend. Would stay there again.
Liked everything. Loved the history off the house, the styling and woodwork. Quiet, clean. Angel, the lady that made breakfast was great, super friendly and made great food. Liked the small town setting.

Nelsonville gem
We stayed here to enjoy the fall colors in Hocking Hills. The location was lovely....small town, quiet ambiance. There was a mix up in our reservation but Hannah corrected everything and we had a beautiful room. We were disappointed in the check in procedure. We had to go to a Carry out to sign in and get our key and find the B & B on our own. In our experience with B & B's, the proprietor or manager met us at the location and showed us around, etc.
