Erholung & Entspannung pur...

Wir haben zwei wundervolle Wochen im Juli mit vier Erwachsenen und drei Kindern (6,9,16) in der Villa Amuri verbracht. Die Villa liegt fern ab von Trubel und Lärm und ca. 3 Stunden vom Flughafen Bastia entfernt. Die Anreise mit dem Auto ist unkompliziert und angenehm. Die großen Supermärkte sind ca. 20 - 30 Minuten von der Villa entfernt, kleine Lebensmittelgeschäfte befinden sich im Ort. Hier gibt es morgens herrliches Baguette und Croissants. Die Raum-aufteilung und Einrichtung der Villa ist stilvoll, klar und nicht überladen. Die Küche ist ein Traum, sehr groß und vor-bildlich eingerichtet und mit Zugang zu jeder Terrasse. Ein Highlight ist der sehr große Kühlschrank/Eisschrank mit Eiswürfelmaschine. Der Vorratsraum, mit Waschmaschine und Trockner, direkt neben der Küche bietet reichlich Platz für die Einkäufe. Die Außenterrassen sind so angelegt, dass zu jeder Tageszeit eine Beschattung gegeben ist. Der Ausblick und die Ruhe einfach fantastisch. Für den Urlaub und warme Sommer-abende genau richtig! Der Pool, ohne Chlor!, war für uns ein weiteres Highlight. Gesichert durch einen Poolalarm, groß und durch die Jahreszeit gut temperiert und bei Dunkelheit per Timer beleuchtet. Wobei die Beleuchtung für uns "Nachteulen" noch länger hätte aktiv sein können. Eine leichte Beleuchtung im Garten hat uns gefehlt, da dieser, sobald die Poolbeleuchtung verschwand, im Dunkeln der Nacht versank und die Außenanlage und Außentreppen nicht mehr zu erkennen waren. Der Garten ist ebenfalls sehr groß und wunderschön angelegt. Große und kleine Sträucher, Blumen und Bäume verteilen sich auf dem gesamten Grundstück und runden das Gesamtbild ab. Vorteilhaft wäre es, wenn sich ebenfalls ein Gärtner um das viele Laub kümmern würde, da dieses bei jedem Windstoß im Pool landete. Aber auch hier hatten wir unseren Spaß beim "Laubfischen" im Pool! Unsere Zeit auf Korsika in der Villa Amuri war einfach unvergesslich und wunderschön. Die schönsten Strände sind mit dem Auto zu erreichen, auch eine längere Fahrt zu "unserem Strand" mit sehr flach abfallenden Wasser haben wir gerne in Kauf genommen. Unsere Kinder haben sich sehr über das "Maskottchen" der Villa gefreut. Katze Felix wurde direkt in Herz geschlossen und jeden Tag mit Freude gefüttert. Für extreme Katzenhaarallergiker evtl. nicht zu empfehlen. Allerdings hält sich die Katze nur draußen auf und kommt i.d.R. nicht ins Haus. Wir möchten DANKE sagen, an Florence und für die tolle Zeit in der Villa Amuri!

Beautiful house with a gorgeous view. Well located.

Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay. The house is lovely and well maintained and has mostly everything you need for a vacation in Corsica. It is well located, near beautiful beaches and the mountains. A few small issues to mention, though. There were no directions for how to get to the house or what to do once we got there. So we had to solicit a neighbour's help to get in the house. This caused a lot of confusion for my elderly in-laws who arrived at the house before us. The internet was not working for the first three days of our trip, but the problem was resolved quickly. Although no compensation was provided for the lack of internet service (due to an unpaid internet bill), even though one was requested. We were also told at the end of our stay that the property owner had visited the house unannounced to check up on the property, which we were not pleased to find out without any forewarning. We also informed the property manager that we had unfortunately lost one of the beach parasols, which we replaced with a new one. But this caused a misunderstanding and then we were accused of damaging one of the pool parasols (which, of course, were more valuable). We tried to resolve the misunderstanding, but to no avail. Despite these issues, I would definitely stay at the villa again as it has everything you need for a wonderful vacation in Corsica!
