Apartment in the heart of Barcelona, Trafalgar-Urquinaona square

This lovely bright and quiet apartment is located in the heart of Barcelona, in the 'Plaza Urquinaona' 4 minute walk from Plaza Catalunya, the center of the city.
Gives an inner block of the district making the stay in a very quiet place.
It sleeps 6 people and is available as follows:
Entering the apartment, there is a spacious living room with two comfortable armchairs and a sofa bed with double mattress quality. From the living room through a large window provides plenty of light into the apartment, you access to the terrace which has a small table with seating for two, where you can enjoy your relaxing moments. The 32 'TV offers free satellite TV to enjoy a variety of channels. The dining room has a large table that seats 6 people.
The kitchen, located in a separate room, is fully equipped with dishwasher, fridge freezer, oven, hob for cooking comfortably, microwave, toaster, kettle and all necessary cooking utensils as you would in home.
The main room that is accessed from the dining room, has two single beds, a large closet and TV with satellite connection. The room has a full bathroom with shower.
The other room also has two single beds, a spacious wardrobe and a complete bathroom with tub for bathing children comfortably.
This apartment has the official license of the local tourism authorities. Having paid the fee, I'm waiting to get the registration number.
HOUSE RULES:
- Not allowed to accommodate more guests than those indicated to confirm the reservation.
- Respect the content and container from the apartment.
- You must keep clean and respect all the common areas elements. In this sense, you will ensure the building door is closed in your exits and entrances, as well as the elevator doors closed once it has been used..
- Respect the neighbors. Do not make loud noises that might disturb from 10pm to 8am.
- Parties are not allowed.
- Pets are not allowed.
- Only smoking on balconies is permitted.
- No drugs are allowed.
- All equipment and machines in the apartment must be functioning properly. If not, I will do my best to fix it urgently. But no refund will be issued.
- Failure to comply with these rules, resulting in damage or harm to the community or the apartment, would mean the loss of the security deposit.

Spacious and great location

Great central location with everything within a 30 minute walk for everything we wanted to do, though most within 15 and even a full grocery store less than 5 minutes away and many restaurants and bars.

Great location

Perfect spot for us, a family of 4. Our goal was to walk to everything and that we did. Plenty of places to eat, shop and do some sightseeing. Would stay there again.

Comfortable, well equipped and centrally located.

The apartment was great and had everything we needed- two bedrooms two baths, well equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, and air conditioning. Best of all it was within walking distance to most everywhere we wanted to visit. Nice and clean too. Highly recommend.

Perfect Location

This apartment is centrally located and minutes away from restaurants, train/bus station. It's very quiet, clean and comfortable with all the amenities (Especially dryer). Antonio is very prompt and good with communication before, and during our stay. He was always a message away when we had any question and ready to help. When water heater has some issue, he started working on it the same day and fixed it. If we visit Barcelona again, we would love to say at Antonio's property.

Lovely stay with two young children

The apartment was wonderful! We were traveling with a 6-year-old and an 8-year old and were within easy walking distance to not only sites but to public transportation and restaurants. There's a very nice grocery directly across the streets. The beds were very comfortable and the apartment was quiet. We would recommend Antonio's apartment to anyone :)

A perfect location in Barcelona!

Had a lovely time in Barcelona. Location was perfect. The beds were comfortable and the apartment was very quite. Loved the outdoor patio. If I had one comment for improvement it would be a coffee maker would be nice, however we did learn how to use mocha pot which was a fun adventure. Thank you again Antonio!

Great location

We were very happy with the apartment. It was perfect for two couples. Clean and well equipped. Great location for us to walk to just about everywhere we wanted to go, with a Metro station very close by. The owner,Antonio, was very quick to respond to any questions and was kind enough to let us leave our luggage at the apartment early in the day. I would highly recommend this property

Clean, convenient, well-located

The apartment is within walking distance of the old city, and is clean and comfortable, with 2 en-suite bedrooms each with two twins. The kitchen is great, and Antonio is wonderfully helpful. He was waiting outside when our cab pulled up, and took the time to orient us with a map to interesting parts of the city. Best of all, the AC works great!

This is one of the nicest VRBO rentals that I have ever stayed in. Everything that everyone else has written is true-the apartment is spacious , bright and clean, and Antonio is a wonderful host and was always quick to respond to any question I had. The apartment is very centrally located and close to a metro stop. The location made a huge difference in our ability to sightsee easily. Another big plus is the AC works really well. This is really important when it is so hot and humid outside. Thank you Antonio for a wonderful stay!

An ideal apartment

We can't fault Antonio's apartment. It is in a great location, in El Born, away from the tourist throng, near L' Eixample. It is quiet, comfortable and equipped with everything one needs, including a washing machine, drier and a full range of self-catering equipment. Antonio was a delightful host. He introduced us to the area when we arrived, recommending places to visit and eat. When we had a minor issue with the TV, he responded immediately. We greatly enjoyed our 19 nights in Barcelona and intend to return next year.

Great location, but Antonio and A/C are what put this rental as a 5 star

Location is very good to visit the Gothic and Born areas in Barcelona. Metro access is great to get even further away. We took a day trip to Sitges (HIGHLY recommended) and another to Montserrat. Location was perfect for traveling anywhere in and around Barcelona. And A/C was very welcome as each bedroom has its own unit as does the living area. But the best part is Antonio. He is so helpful in sharing ideas on where to spend your time during your visit. Without Antonio taking the time to spend with us going over a map and recommended sites we never would have gone to Sitges which was a highlight of our trip. Thanks to Antonio and your care and time in helping us start off our trip right.

We found the property quite clean and ready for our use. It was well equipped & well appointed.

We found the apartment very spacious, very clean and well appointed. The photos we saw represented the actual apartment very well.We are a family that likes to cook and found pretty good equipment for cooking in a rental apartment. The two bathrooms were great and all fixtures worked well. The area is wonderful for sightseeing as nothing is very far by foot and a metro station is just one block away. Although it is in the midst of lots of sightseeing locations the apartment is located on a quiet residential street at the back of the building so there is no traffic noise at night. Antonio was very welcoming, meeting us immediately when we arrived from the airport. He explained how everything worked in the apartment and gave us some great sightseeing advice. We had a question about bathroom hot water and he responded immediately and took care of the issue. There are two small balconies but sadly neither of them get sun during the day which could be a blessing in warmer weather. We had a very good stay in this Barcelona apartment and would choose it again. Thanks Antonio!!

READ THIS BEFORE RENTING!

It all seemed quite nice from the start. The apartment is fairly centrally located and of decent Spanish standard. However, the neigbour was renovating his flat which caused a LOT of noice. Every morning we woke up to the sound of drilling and blows and it continued all day for the whole week (except during the weekend). Well, these things happen and it's not in the control of the landlord. We informed Antonio the first morning (sending him a video showing the loud noises) and he promised to speak to his neighbour and the contractor. Nothing changed, rather we got the impression that the workers made even more noise just to bug us for complaining. Hence, I asked Antonio what he thought would be a fair compensation, suggesting a 50% discount (seemed reasonable to us, since sleeping out in the morning and taking a siesta in the afternoon are holiday basics). At first he didn't answer but at the last day (after I reminded him) he offered us 10%. When I said that this didn't seem fair he suddenly claimed that the cleaning lady had discovered some damages on a wall (that definitely not had been caused by us) and that he also had spoken to other neighbours - and the guy who rented the apartment the period after (!) our stay - and that we had lied about how much noise it had been. Like they would know. All in all, he would not compensate us but still re-pay the fund that every tenant has to put up in front. So, for not being able to sleep or rest for a week we got a lousy compensation and were accused of lying (despite sending quite strong evidence) and causing damages. In short, that sucks big time. I am sure that Antonio is a nice guy when he can charge full rent. A lot of comments seems to prove that. But if something happens - and you never know when it's your turn - he is not the kind of landlord that has the decency to compensate you properly. So take this into account if you think about renting this apartment.

This is a perfect location located in a safe quiet street in the heart of Barcelona. It is a perfect spot for two couples with two master bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, full kitchen, living room and dining area. The blackout roller shutters in the bedroom a big plus. We felt safe and the apartment was very clean. Would stay there again. Walking distance to metro, taxi stand and express airport bus. Lots of great pastry/ coffee shops nearby. Host responds very quickly to inquiries.

From the beginning, our host was wonderful. He communicated with us regularly, met us T the property to explain everything. The property was immaculate and very comfortable. Its location is exceptional. We were able to get around easily. The shopping was close and the coffee shop nextdoor is perfect. I loved the balcony and appreciated the washer and dryer. Great visit to Barcelona

Our apartment was clean and everything in the ad was accurate. Great location in the heart of town. Our host Antonio was very helpful and met us at the door when we arrived in taxi from airport.

Very average and overstated

We chose the place for the high rating. We are not picky people but this place from the graffiti entrance, dark hallway, small elevator and then overstated furnishings was a disappointment. We did like the location relative to places of interest. The towels must have been at least 10 years old. Curtains were stained and no shades to darker the rooms. There’s no hot tub, there was lots of noise at night with dogs and babies. Beds and couch are uncomfortable. I would recommend a different place.

Lovely apartment!

We loved the location. Walking distance to most things. Property was clean and spacious. Could definitely use some extra comforts (linens, blankets pillows, decor, extra kitchen food/ drink prep options). Having a washer and dryer was amazing! Host was a bit difficult and con courteous or accommodating. I asked for a pillow and blanket for fold out couch he said it had clean sheets and I only checked in 3 people. I boooked a home for 6 guests! When we opened couch it only had a disgusting dirty mattress cover and no sheets. Had to argue with him to get linens. I washed mattress cover and he eventually had one sheet dropped off. He is very rigid about collecting $ for tourist tax to receive the exact linens/ towels for each! Frustrating conversations while I’m trying to enjoy our family vacation

Why they chose this property

Barcelona is a large town on the north-east coast of Spain. If there were only three words to describe Barcelona City they would be Culture, Style and Harmony, and only for that, is an ideal place to visit.
Barcelona is full of interesting, artistic and fashionable people. The blending of cultures defines to Barcelona as one of the most cosmopolitan cities in the world. Barcelona has many tourist attractions which are worth visiting. The most famous attraction is La Sagrada Familia, a fantastic temple designed by Antonio Gaudi under construction since 1882. Other attractions are La Pedrera, a beautiful modernist building of Gaudi too, some of which were declare heritage site by the Unesco. The magic fountain of Montjuic, a light, music and water spectacle, and Miró, Picasso and FC Barcelona museums. There are many activities to do. Walking through the streets of Barcelona let you feel how the new buildings have evolved and integrated with the historic architecture. The Gothic Quarter, Eixample or The Ramblas are good examples.
Barcelona City is plenty of places to go shopping. Most of the main shopping areas are in pedestrianized zones with wide open boulevards. It is a Mediterranean city situated on the coast and so offers arrange of activities available on the sea front including a variety of water sports as we'll of fantastic beaches perfect for relaxing or taking long walks by the deep blue sea. The nightlife in Barcelona is exciting. There are a lot of music and dance clubs and bars opened in the small hours. On Saturday nights it is quite normal to see hundreds of people strolling up and down the Ramblas till early in the morning. Barcelona is a city that has something to offer everyone. This makes it a truly fascinating place to visit and it is said that once you travel to Barcelona it is hard to turn back.
This apartment is in the center of this wonderful city, within easy walking distance of all those places.
