Quiet and Peaceful

It was a very clean and nice place. The porch is lovely with some views of the mountains, you have to sit in just the right spots on the porch to get the best views.

Nice Clean House at a Great Price

We had workers on a project nearby staying at the house for 2 weeks. It was an interesting drive up in the work trucks but definitely do-able. The house was clean. The hot water doesn't last very long; but management is going to address this. They were very responsive to our request. Great alternative to an expensive hotel for 3 people. We will stay again if we return.

It needs to be cleaned and it’s hard to get to

Let’s start with the drive. I’m so glad we decided to take my husbands truck the roads are gravel and very steep. And the roads are not well marked. When we found the cabin the driveway was blocked by a tree. We could move it out of the way. The code to the door didn’t work but thankfully the maids didn’t lock the key away so we got in. The house is dusty there is spiderwebs and dust bunnies all over the shower was nasty. The curtain was old and moldy. The tub was gross and unusable w a dead spider in it. We had to leave a night early because I started to get a cough from the house. I’m glad I brought cleaning wipes so I good clean up what I could. And I don’t know how a dishwasher gets mold but this one did. Oh and spiders. Inside and out. We killed 3 during our trip and several in the ceilings we couldn’t reach. If you like camping this would be a fit. If you want a nice cabin I would t recommend this one.

First the property is not well marked to get to it. It would be nice if there are some signs going up a mountain. You need a truck. It is not a place for a car. Go in the day the roads are dark and they are small roads. Second we had to move a fallen tree to get up the driveway. We called someone did show but the try laid where we left it. The door code didn’t work glad the housekeeper didn’t lock the key away properly so we could get in. It was not clean the shower was nasty the tub had spiders and dirt in it. The place is very very dusty. Spiders all over we killed 3 inside on our own. Some we couldn’t reach. Furniture was older and stained. And somehow the dishwasher was moldy I didn’t even know that could happen. We left a night early because my allergies became too much and I needed out of the cabin. The good news the views are pretty. The cabin is 30 minutes from town. The town is cute and the restaurants nice. Great place if you want to be a little off the grid. PS there is no WiFi we overlooked that detail.

Mountain trip

Great view. If it were mine , I would have 2 more trees cut to get a better view of the mountain..

A great location that needs a little TLC.

We loved the setting, the view, and it's positioned well for outdoor recreation, access to Dilliardsville, Sylva, and WCU. It needs a little freshening up and some additional amenities.

The main take away from this house is: "You get what you pay for". We chose to find a cheaper house and spend our on activities/experiences for this trip, and thats what we got. The house is conveniently located close to Bryson city and Cherokee, which was where we spent our time. we had a Tahoe, NOT 4WD, and we were totally fine driving there Now, for the house: the general house was overall clean in the areas you use. But there were cobwebs in some corners and visible dust on the walls in the main area . The house is very dark and dim lighting. There is wood damage on the inside den window from some sort of animal?? The outdoor patio furniture looks very old rickety but it held everyone up without breaking so.... The hot water heater in the house never ran out on use but we staggered showers and took QUICK ones! The handle in the master shower is broken so it continuously twists so good luck getting the temp right- it will either scald you or freeze you- we just all used the other shower all weekend. now, for the BEDS....good lord. I see there have been many complaints about them, with the responses from the hosts being that everyone's comfort level is subjective. ok yes I agree, but they are truly HORRIBLE!!! we are in our 40's and are ALL going to the chiropractor when we get home! I prayed for sunrise so I could get out of that bed!!!!

Best view

Great view from every window and close to town. Suggest 4 wheel drive as the roads are bit narrow and scetchy

Great way to unplug

Enjoyed our weekend stay. Went up to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary. Cabin was nice and peaceful, secluded, no highway/city noise. It was a much needed unplug weekend for me and leisure trip.

Had a good time. Very nice property

No real complaints other than master bedroom bed needs to be replaced. It totally sinks into the middle. We actually went downstairs and used that bedroom/bed for the last two nights because of this.

Steep drive but great view

Pros- the location, space, game room, plenty of towels and bedding. Cons-no washer or dryer, no Wi-Fi, steep windy drive. Overall great stay just be prepared with a hotspot and firewood to enjoy the fireplace and Roku tv.

Down time

We enjoyed our stay. It would have been better if there was internet, cable in the main living room (only dvd player there) and access to a washer and dryer were available. We live simply so it was no big deal for us. But if a family comes with kids, it would be nice if it was available.

Home is not in rentable condition

Exposed electric wires, live roaches crawling on walls and floors, mold, live spiders and cobwebs through out house, windows and doors filthy, too much to even list. The rules in the welcome book are outrageous you might as well sit in the dark, don’t use the water or the heat or air. Praise God we were able to be moved to another rental after 8 hours of phone calls, emails and pictures to prove the home was unfit.

Sent a review to Vacasa, never heard anything back from them. Of course, my review was never post

Old and run down. Property management is not responsive to customers. Electronic lock not working when we arrived on Thursday night, reported it. Never heard back from Vacasa till a few hours before we checked out on Monday, asked if I still needed it fixed ??? Basement was dark because of lighting and musty smelling. No view on the deck, tree limbs grown over. Never again with Vacasa !

Western NC Vacation

Bella Vista was a great cabin for our family (2 adults and 3 children). The views of the mountains were peaceful, fun game room in basement along with 3 bed bedroom, which was great for kids. 2 Masters on main floor. Downsides: water rationing. We did not run out with 5ppl for 6 days, but we were very careful about usage, opting for bottled water, hand sanitizer and quick showers. Also the road getting to the cabin is very steep, gravel and has many switchbacks. Not for FWD vehicles.

No water!!!

We ran out of water after the third day. If we would’ve known prior to booking that we had to ration the water (which we did but still ran out) we would’ve stayed somewhere else. The maintenance guy said it happens all the time so they didn’t even come out an check on it. We ended up spending the rest of our vacation at a crappy hotel and our vacation was ruined

It was Ok

Location is great. Secluded from the real world and quite. The heat didn't work, it worked, but there was space heaters in the closets in the bottom floor for a reason. It was too cold down there for my kids to sleep and they slept on the couch upstairs. I do appreciate the caretaker who was super helpful when we arrived and our thermostat was locked out, as in- needed a code to change anything. Be prepared to be cold if you are planning on using the bottom floor and the road isn't as bad as some say, wouldn't recommend going at night and Cowee Tunnel is literally down at the bottom of the mountain, look it up and go explore, just remember the train runs daily.

Not quite as advertised

The house was fine and it was clean. Just a couple of issues. Listing said there were 6 beds. There were only 5, which meant one grown man had to sleep on a couch. Also listed the casino as 7 miles away(which is one of the main reasons I chose this location), but the casino is actually around 20 miles away. It might be 7 miles as the crow flies, but definitely not 7 miles driving. The pool table was missing a ball. Just these multiple little things took away from the experience, but overall it was ok.
