About this property

We have restored and present Perigordienne Country Cottages in a beautiful Rural Setting in the Dordogne, just 1.5 hours drive from Bordeaux.
We have 3 semi detached dwellings/Cottages with accommodation for two people only with each booking. We limit the number of guests for the comfort for all in this Rural location between Beaumont and Monpazier.

Our stone Swimming pool is open and has a large outdoor deck with sun beds, umbrellas .
There are many walks in our woods and forest on the property.
Each accommodation is set in its own garden and therefore away from other guests.
We offer the perfect holiday solution during these times of uncertainty.
We have an indoor Tennis Centre with gym equipment.there are many private walks thru our woodland .
We have two bastide towns within 5 minutes drive-Monpazier and Beaumont du Perigord. Night market every Monday night in Summer with live , music, dancing and great local barbecue foods and wines.

About the host

Your host

We purchased La Forge in a totally abandoned state and have restored the buildings and gardens.
We planted an organic vegetable garden during Covid and it is now producing wonderful courgettes, tomatoes, beans, pumpkins, radishes and many types of lettuce , rocket plus an endless supply of herbs ( Rosemary, type, basil, parsley, sage and mint).
We share the produce with our guests so it is a unique experience here in the sunny Dordogne.

Why they chose this property

Because we no longer accept dogs.
We used to allow guests to bring the Family pet for holidays. Due to the extreme misuse of this privilege we no longer accept animals at our property.
We have this week 4 unauthorized dogs in 2 Cottages. One dog is sick and being locked in the cottage for hours alone. In the extreme heat this is cruel and unacceptable to us. We have had many thousands of euros damage to carpets, curtains rugs and cushions so we are no longer able to take dogs, cats and other animals.
We do apologise for this change in Policy.
