Come explore Spruce Harbor, a captivating oceanfront retreat on Deer Isle, where retreating glaciers left behind a beautiful landscape of spruce-clad islands, rocky shorelines, undulating countryside and picturesque beaches.
A gently, winding, wooded lane carries you to The Playhouse, one of four private, charming, casual cottages on the compound.

Jump into our saltwater, water's edge tidal pool or launch a kayak from our private beach area. Enjoy the serenity of both while still maintaining your privacy.

Terrific Stay in Spruce Harbor

We have always enjoyed our visits to Spruce Harbor over the years and this year was not exception. The Playhouse cottage, which is over 100 years old, is unique in every way and a great place for families. Rustic and charming, it looks out over the bay and is in a premier location.

A beautiful location

This is a wonderful classic Maine summer cottage right on the water. Part of a family compound it is quiet and secluded and the ownders are wonderful. Great place to escape to.
