Welcome to Relaxation! Gulfside Villa 408

This is a studio villa located at Destin West Beach & Bay Resort on Okaloosa Island!

Relax on the fantastic balcony with a panoramic view of Okaloosa Island, to the left Choctawhatchee Bay, and to your right you will find the Gulf.

This Villa is on the Gulf side of the resort. Walk in and be prepared for a relaxing stay! New decor with flat screen Smart TV. The kitchenette has everything you need for your stay including fridge, 2 burner stove, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker & blender.

The Villa sleeps 4 with a queen bed in the bedroom area and sofa sleeper in the living area. Bathroom features large garden tub with stand alone shower.

The Destin West Resort offers a huge 5,000 square foot pool & children's pool on the Gulf side of the complex, in addition to a partially covered heated pool. Access to the bay side is easy by walking via catwalk over the highway to lounge around the signature 700' Lazy River Lagoon, pool with waterfall, two oversized hot tubs or just to check out the bay! Access is easy by walking via catwalk over the highway.

Destin West is within walking distance to so many amazing activities! The boardwalk and fishing pier, Wild Willy's Adventure Zone and the Gulfarium.

We booked this last minute as a halfway stop from Ft. Myers to extend spring break with our 9 year old. The room was perfect, great views, quick access from the parking garage to our room and was within walking distantce to multiple restaurants, shops and putt-putt

Wonderful property with lots of amenities such as pool, lazy river, etc. Condo is clean and it was very easy to get additional items such as towels or linens. Office staff was quite accommodating The condo is on the smaller side which was not an issue but I don’t recommend a large group to stay there

Great location!

We loved our stay here. The condo is nice but only big enough barely for 2 people. Bed was comfortable. Only complaint I have is the rug in the living room is very dangerous as it rolls up and it's a trip hazard. Beautiful beach area and clean sparkling pools. Great place, will stay again!

Great Stay!

The room was clean and as described. The location was great, right by the parking garage, and only one flight of stairs away from the sky bridge. We arrived early and the front desk let us check out wristbands to enjoy the pool while we waited for our room, the rental company was always quick to respond to any questions I had. The garden tub was great for relaxing after long pool and beach days. The kitchen was fully stocked with anything we needed for cooking. The room was the perfect size for our family of 4. The only thing the room could’ve used was a small vacuum, there was a broom in the closet but a vacuum would’ve been nicer for any sand or crumbs on the rugs. We had a great stay and would absolutely stay in this room and with this host again.

As advertised. Nice, clean space, close to everything. Easy communication with the property owner. Parking was literally steps away from the unit. If I had one “complaint” it would be that I have short legs and it was a little hard to get into the bed because it’s high off the ground.

Accommodations at west Destin

We’ve stayed several times. We usually stay at the Villas on the Gulf side. This year we were surprised to see a fine paint job both inside and out. Made the place look new. We also noticed security checking people going to and coming from the beach making sure they had wrist bands. There was security present at the Lazy River. I hope the leadership will continue to keep up security, it is a necessary element to give renters confidence with safety. Overall we liked what we saw. Destin is a fine vacation spot for sure.t

Perfect unit for our needs

This unit worked out perfect for our family of four. 2 adults, 2 kids under 12. We did not miss having a bigger unit, as we spent most of our time at one of the many pools, or the beach. Everything was very close. Beach, pools, dining. In fact, we spent 3 of our days walking to the restaurants we ate at. The room was very clean and comfortable. The bathroom is large, and that was definitely appreciated. We would stay here again for sure. Oh yeah, as a pleasant surprise is that the island resort next door allows those staying at destin west to use all of their pools and facilities as well. Awesome!

Loved the lazy River!

The grounds were very well kept and the condo is cute. We especially enjoyed the pool at night and the lazy River. The pools were very clean. The room was lacking though. When we got there we noticed that most of the surfaces hadn’t been properly wiped. There were crumbs on the counter and sticky fingerprints on the coffee table. The upholstery on the couch was very dirty and in need of a good cleaning. When we grabbed blankets for the pullout couch from the dresser drawer, we noticed they smelled of urine, so we wound up not using them at all and just used a small blanket we’d brought from home. The door to the porch needs repair as well. We had trouble getting it to lock. If the door was repaired and the condo properly cleaned, it would be a great place to stay.

Great location and beautiful condo!

We really enjoyed our stay! The unit was clean and had a great view of the bay and Gulf. You could see the dunes from the balcony as well. We extended our stay by one night. The process was quick and easy! We will definitely stay here again!!!
