Cabin In the Woods on 30 wooded acres with walking trails.

Welcome to our 900 square foot cabin on 30 wooded acres with walking trails. Wildlife is abundant: you will most likely see deer, turkeys, rabbits, grouse and maybe even a bear. The cabin is perfect for year-round recreation as it is located directly on a snowmobile/ATV route and features a trailer-friendly circle drive with plenty of parking.

The Eau Claire Lakes with public boat launches are nearby. Includes an outdoor fire pit, charcoal grill, gas grill, large deck in the rear of the cabin with patio table and chairs and a nice covered porch in the front.

Our cabin features a master bedroom (queen size bed) and a loft (2 twin beds) which is great for children. Town of Barnes is 5 miles, Iron River is 18 miles, Cable is 19 miles and Hayward is 25 miles.

Quaint cabin in the woods that was a great change of pace. Coffee on the deck was peaceful and relaxing. The private walking trails were a nice addition, although ticks were prevalent.

The check-in and check-out process was very easy. The host gave detailed instructions and was available if needed. It was very easy to communicate with the host. The kitchen had great appliances and was very clean. The whole cabin was so clean, very spacious and nice. The outside space was awesome and we enjoyed spending time on the deck and grilling. The cabin is as described and so much more. This was one of the best places we have stayed at and hope to be back.

Woodland retreat

Clean and quiet cabin provided an excellent base camp for grouse hunting w/i a hour radius of the Barnes area. Without hesitation would book this place in the future-thank you Linda.

Absolute must!

Beautiful, cozy property with great trails to walk through the woods on the property. An hour or less away from great parks, landmarks, shopping, dining, and all the area lakes. It was a wonderful retreat for our family that we will certainly look at returning to. And Linda was a fabulous host.

We were here for Birkie weekend 2023 - fantastic place, very clean, just what we needed for our weekend at the race. Loved that it has separate heating controls for the two different floors, and the location was perfect for the commute to the bus to take us to the start line, zero traffic issues like you deal with coming up towards Hayward. Great suggestions for local places and activities, 100% would recommend.

Cozy cabin!

This was perfect for me, my husband and dog! We were looking for a quiet weekend getaway and this was perfect. The woods were gorgeous and peaceful. Plenty of snowshoeing opportunities are around. They had everything we needed to post up for the weekend. We loved it here!

Woodland Retreat

This place was so clean. The appliances, dishes, linens etc. were like new, we felt very comfortable staying here. It was lovely to sit on the deck surrounded by trees, birds and the occasional deer. We'd definitely come back if we are in the area.

Beautiful and peaceful

Wonderful little cabin in the woods. The host was amazing and the cabin was very clean. The only bummer was not being able to enjoy the trails with out accumulating deer ticks. We're talking hundreds... I would love to come back another time, we'll just have to leave the dogs at home.

Perfectly Peaceful

Cabin in the Woods is everything it needs to be…..a beautiful cabin…..in the woods. The location is perfect for a weekend getaway or a summer vacation. Whether you’re into hitting the trails on your sled or ATV, or just want to have a quiet retreat away from the city, this place is for you. Check out Barnes Trading Post and grab a Polish Pizza with xtra kraut or get a great breakfast at The Koffee Kup. The country fried steak is awesome! Linda was easy to get in touch with and very responsive. We will definitely go back next year.

Quiet and Peaceful

This is a beautiful, comfortable cabin. Nicely decorated and supplied with all the essentials you might need. Just bring your food and drink. Furniture very comfortable, and we really enjoyed the deck. We could block the stairs with the gate (provided) and have our little dog out there with us. We did see a few deer, but not any bears on this trip! A very nice cabin in a lovely setting.

Late Fall cabin rental

Our stay at The Cabin In The Woods was nothing short of idyllic. Nestled amidst towering pines, the cabin offered the perfect blend of comfort and seclusion. The interior was spotless, and the well-equipped kitchen made meal prep a breeze. We especially loved the cozy living room, perfect for winding down and relaxing. . The cabin's private wooded trails were a highlight, inviting us to explore the serene surroundings. We also ventured out to the nearby Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest for some invigorating hikes. A day trip to Lake Superior was a must, and the stunning shoreline was well worth the drive. For dining, the local steakhouse and tavern were both excellent choices. The friendly staff and delicious food made for a memorable meal. Overall, The Cabin In The Woods is a fantastic getaway for nature lovers and those seeking tranquility. We can't Wait wait to return!
