Our three bedroom, two bath home features a master suite with queen bed and private bathroom with a double cedar shower. The second large queen bedroom has an expansive library and leather easy chair for private reading area, the third bedroom has two sets of bunk beds and a full-sized futon. .The shared bathroom has a large tub and shower. All three bedrooms have blackout curtains for restful sleeping or nap time.
The fully equipped kitchen has new gas range, microwave, dishwasher and ample pantry in addition to laundry facilities. There is a large gas BBQ on a rear deck.
The property is located on a dead-end road in the Battle Ridge area of the Bridger Mountains. It is located six miles from Bridger Bowl ski area known for its "cold smoke" powder skiing, and the Cross-Cut Ranch Nordic Center. All wheel or 4wheel drive is recommended for winter guests. Since most of the ski traffic comes from Bozeman guests will have an easy commute to Bridger Bowl.
A picnic area along the creek is available for the enjoyment of our guests. It features a gas BBQ and seating along the creek, as well as two large picnic tables. It is a lovely place to unwind after a day of sight-seeing or hiking.
The area has an abundance of wildlife including deer, elk, moose, bear, wild turkeys, coyotes and foxes. Guests have reported seeing wolverine when hiking in the Bridger Mountains near Fairy Lake, a short distance from the "cabin".

Amazing Place
We loved our time at this awesome retreat. Nestled between the Bridger Range and the Crazy Mountains, you won’t find a more beautiful place. The solitude and beauty are far beyond the pictures, yet it’s just a short drive to Bozeman. You’ll look forward to the drive! The hosts Sally and Paul were wonderful. We especially enjoyed walking with our dogs throughout the hundred acres along the creek side. We would wholeheartedly recommend this place!

Great trip!
Property was great, especially for being away at Xmas time! Owners were very helpful in pointing us in the right direction for a Xmas tree! Very close to Bridger for skiing and some great trails for walking pets or touring on.

Great little hide away in the mountains!
This is a nice little log house in the mountains. The hosts are very nice and the property is taken care of. This is an older home with a few updates. Its very clean but not updated. Its what we expected from the pictures so there where no surprises. I would caution you though, if a good storm would have rolled in a dumped serious snow, getting up the gravel road to the house and the main driveway to the house could be a challenge with only front wheel drive. We had a few inches and it was manageable. I know the hosts would do all they could to get you up the driveway. I love the quiet location... and proximity to Bridger Ski area. 10 minutes!!!

Comfy Cozy Stay
We had a quiet stay that was very relaxing after a few days of skiing. The cabin was cozy and just right for our group of 8. Enjoyed sledding and beautiful walks outdoors in God's wonderful creation! Will stay again.

About the host

Your host

Host profile image
The owners have operated a ranch on this 100 acre property since 1983. Now retired the "guest house" is available for memorable family vacations and quiet get-aways. The owners live in the main house down the road. While available if needed our philosophy is to allow our guests their privacy. .

Why they chose this property

There is a magic about this area that needs to be experienced. Returning guests tell us there is just nothing like it. Getting up early to watch the sunrise, hear the birds, and maybe watch a mother deer with her fawn or an elk and a calf is an experience not soon forgotten. The air is clean and crisp. The quiet is amazing. The creek provides a great retreat in the warm of the day and sitting next to the water will provide relaxation and peace that is not easy to find.
