Step inside this adorable cabin and feel stress slip away. With gorgeous ocean views from the living room and kitchen you can enjoy wave watching no matter what the weather! When you are ready to play or just stroll, beach access is just steps away. This newly remodeled home is ideal for couples or small families.
The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to enjoy meals together. There are two cozy bedrooms each with queen sized beds and cottage like charm. Each room provided with extra blankets and pillows to make you comfy while you drift off to sleep listening to the hum of the ocean. The main bathroom is conveniently close to the master bedroom and has a spa like feel, complete with a river rock flooring in the shower to massage those tired feet. Additional bathroom is located downstairs with easy access from outside to wash off sand after a day on the beach.
Stormy weather? No problem, just add another log on the fire in the wood burning fireplace, grab a good book or watch movies with free WiFi /Cable or DVD player.
The heart of downtown Rockaway is less than a mile away, with several shops and restaurants within walking distance.
No matter what time of year, this charming cottage will make you feel right at home!

Quiet place to stay

We spent two nights here and enjoyed our stay. It was very clean and had everything we needed - even shampoo and conditioner in the shower which we had forgotten. The house was very nicely decorated and had modern furnishings. We could see the beach from the front windows and it was less than a minute's walk to the beach. Would stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay at the Cracker Box Palace. The kitchen had everything we needed! The location was right across the street from the beach which meant I could enjoy my meals while watching the ocean waves. My favorite part was the river rock shower floor!!!

A lovely girls weekend

The owner was quick to respond to any questions we had. Easy check in and out. The place was clean and very comfortable. I was super impressed with the quality of design, layout and build of the house, very tastefully detailed. 10 out of 10 would recommend, thank you for sharing your space!

The place to be in Rockaway Beach

The house is great and the beach is literally right across the road. The house is well equipped for cooking meals in. Rockaway beach leaves a little to be desired restaurant wise. Otherwise great, quiet, relaxing place to spend some time!

Cracker Box Palace was no cracker box! It was beautifully decorated and so very clean! We felt like we were the first to stay in your home complete with all the comforts of home. Our only complaint was we were unable to stream any TV and we were not familiar with how to operate Roku.

College graduation celebration

My daughter recently graduated from university in Colorado. We decided to do a trip to celebrate. Given anywhere in the world, she wanted to come back to Rockaway Beach and stay at the Cracker Box Palace where we had stayed three years prior. The setting is idyllic and the property is perfect. I look forward to a future visit.

Great home!

Property was just as advertised. Nicely decorated, extremely clean, well equipped and very cozy. The view of the ocean from the home was beautiful. Very walkable to shops and restaurants. Unfortunately, we had to cut our visit short by a day because my granddaughter felt ill. Hopefully, would like to return one day. What a great home!

Lovely home steps from the beach

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The house is just steps away from the beach with a great view from the common areas. The host put much thought into making the home comfortable and welcoming. It has a split heat pump to keep the home warm and cooled, as well as a fireplace for those cool wintery days. Town is just down the street and there are plenty of restaurants both in town and near by. A couple of grocery stores as well with reasonable prices for items you might have forgotten. We will definitely return.

Like the song - they are expecting you

Simply exquisite, the Crackerbox Palace shines in all dimensions. The abundance of windows gives the house a dazzling character that instantly brightens one's mood. The expansive beach is up the path across the street. Undoubtedly, the top rental house in the area is quiet, stocked well, and with intelligent attention to detail—in a word, superb.

What it doesn't show is that the path to the beach is quite steep. Being in our 70's that was a bit of a surprise. Husband could not get down to the beach and the only reason I could is that my 22 year old grandson walked ahead of me and we took it one step at a time.
