Older home with lots of character, walking distance to downtown Richmond. Very convenient location, close to anything you want. Located about 2 miles off of I-75. The house has 2 bedrooms, and 1 bath. There is a queen size bed in both of the bedrooms, and a futon in the living room. If you like the outdoors, we have a side porch with a swing, and a sitting area in the yard with a fish pond. The driveway goes behind the house for parking and is quite narrow, which can be a challenge for large vehicles. There is plenty of room in the driveway out front for parking if you are unable to pass through, which is also safe. The driveway side of the backyard is open, so the yard is not fully fenced.

This is our second time staying at this property. We feel very comfortable there and will be back next month visiting our family.Very clean and has everything we need to feel like home.
Very quaint, home away from home. Owner has attention to detail. All the little extras makes the difference. We felt very comfortable from the minute we walked in. We will be back!
Beautiful older home, well maintained, had everything you could possibly need. Only problem I had was the size of my vehicle, the driveway wasn't made for a 1 ton long bed truck. We managed. Thank you.
It was a wonderful experience. The home was very cozy for it being an older home. Downtown was beautiful and Buc-ee’s was fun. There was lots to do and see. Thank you for the drinks and snacks, it was greatly appreciated.
Perfect little home, actually bigger than it looked in the photos. Very clean and tidy in a quiet neighborhood at a great price. I highly recommend this place.
WE loved the property. It was celan and had everything we needed. WE loved walking to the downtown every morning and getting coffee and breakfast.
WE would stay again,
Andrea
Great location for visiting Lexington area. Safe neighborhood, convenient to restaurants/shopping. Very clean, comfy bed/pillows. Owner has thought of everything, down to plug adapters, stocked necessities, even in fridge. Quiet in bedrooms at night even though house is right on Main Street. Great value for a VRBO house. Really liked staying in this quaint little college town of 35,000 instead of a larger city. Bonus: Buc-ee’s only 10 minutes away. I could go on and on. Just stay here, thank me later!
Thanks, Harold, great place.
We had a wonderful stay at this lovely home. The location allowed for easy day trips in and arounds Lexington. There are so many great restaurants and sites to visit in the area that we are already planning a return trip! The thoughtful "extras" provided in the snack cabinet and fridge made the first day so much less stressful, allowing us to not have to worry about an immediate trip to the grocery store. We were able to just relax and unwind after our road trip. Harold is quick to respond to all questions and issues. Beds are comfy (even the futon in the living room!). Can't say enough good things about this property and the owners.
This was by far one of the best VRBO houses we have ever stayed at. It is very clean and welcoming. Harold had lots of drinks and breakfast treats waiting for us! I had emailed him before our stay to see if there was a hair dryer or if I should pack one. I told him not to worry, but he purchased one and it was so nice to have one less thing to worry about. The location is very convenient to everything. They have provided a ton of menus and information on places of interest to visit on the kitchen table . We enjoyed looking over the guest book at all the different places that people had traveled from. Harold was extremely helpful, communicative, and accommodating. We will certainly be back.
We had a great stay and would book again if in the area!
NIce older home that was welcoming and had everything we needed. We arrived late due to some car trouble and was surprised to find the house was stocked with cold drinks, snacks, coffee and basic provisions.
The location was great convenient to shopping, the interstate and restaurants. If I had a negative about this great little house it would be that the driveway is small and the distance between the house and fence is narrow. Keep in mind I was driving a Tranist 350 and pulling a trailer that gave me an overall rig length of 41 feet. However, this was pleasanlty offset by easy communication with Harold and an immediate resolution that allowed us to drop the trailer in the front yard and park the truck and morotcylces behind the house in the driveway.
Another bonus is that Harold had all the items needed to do laundry so we were able to travel home without dreadng the after vacation laundry.
GREAT STAY THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING !
I could not wait to get home and write a review for this lovely property. Talk about a find...this one is it!
I loved that we were in a historic home. It was refreshing that the owners decided to keep the homes charm and not swap out tons of things. I loved the woodwork and appreciated the antiques throughout the home. It felt that we were really staying with the owners as the decor showed personality. I loved the property.
What makes this property stand out from others, is the gracious offerings from the host. Milk, OJ, water, eggs and frozen waffles and breakfast sandwiches were left for us. My personal favorite was the snack cabinet. Loads of cereal bars and other snacks were left for us to enjoy. They even had coffee for us to use. There was plenty of TP. This host gets that making our stay pleasant will bring us back to the area again. Very thoughtful host that made us feel welcome.
The home is in close proximity to several wonderful parks and historical sites. It was a great location to head to the downtown area as well. I wish I would have taken a walk and observed all of the beautiful homes that are in the area. That will have to happen on our next visit.
We loved exploring Richmond and will be back again. This home is in a perfect location to drive out and explore the area. Fantastic location with really wonderful hosts!
It is so refreshing and wonderful when you book a place and find it to be above your expectations. This home was fantastic. An older home with personality and flair and an owner who obviously wants their guests to be satisfied. The beds were both very comfortable, the shower had plenty of hot water and plenty of pressure, the toilet paper and paper towels were not your typical see-through tissue that has begun to be the norm in many rentals. Floor and ceiling fans in both rooms, plenty of towels and no notes telling how much you would expect to pay if you stained one! How unusual! This host also leaves snacks and extra water, plenty of coffee (both regular and decaf) filters, sugar and even milk in the fridge. It’s thrilling to find an actual coffee pot instead of a Keurig, as I tend to drink more than one cup and generally run out in the other places I’ve stayed. The side porch is a sweet little oasis and there’s even a porch swing. I stayed the first two nights alone and felt completely safe and comfortable. This isn’t the most beautiful, swanky or most modern place I’ve stayed in, but is now truly one of my favorites. This host just does so many lovely things to make their guests feel special. The home was a short distance away from EKU’s Gifford Theater (the reason for our trip) and we had no issues with the driveway or parking. Highly recommended.
Wonderful home. It comfy and very clean. We absolutely loved our stay. We can from Wisconsin to bring my youngest son to EKU. Its close to everything. Seriously feltt like home.
House had everything we needed the three of us were each able to sew a quilt top. We set up our machines in dining room and sewed to our heart’s content.
