About this property
Luxurious Yosemite Mountain Home , Spa, Pool, Miniature Ponies! and Gameroom
Beautiful newly built family friendly home just a stone’s throw from Yosemite Valley! Designed from the ground up with all of your families’ needs in mind and nestled in a scenic meadow in Mariposa. With 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and 1800 square feet the house and an additional 800 square foot Game Room in the garage comfortably sleeps 8. The home is welcoming and was designed to be a great retreat, no matter what time of year you are visiting. The home is set on a beautiful piece of property, surrounded by native pines and yet still gets a lot of sunshine. There is plenty of room inside and outside to spend time relaxing and enjoying time with family and friends. The family room sofa is a great place to visit or watch a movie on the big 75 inch Samsung TV, the dining table offers a great place to share a meal or play a game and the bedrooms have fun mountain themed furnishings and comfortable beds. The large redwood deck offers a great place to soak up some sun, or warm up in front of the fire pit, or soak a sore body in the hot tub, or watch the beautiful star filled sky - or all of the above! The kids will love playing in the yard, as well as the large play structure (which has a 110 pound weight limit). We also offer an above ground pool which is open during the summer please NOTE that the pool is closed Sept 22nd through April 30th
Yes, there's ponies!!!!!
If you like spending time in nature with animals the owner has docile and friendly miniature ponies. That are just mere steps away from the house for you to enjoy a visit with.
This home offers a true oasis that will allow your family and friends to enjoy a magical retreat in the forest.
THE HOME -
Master Bedroom: King Bed | Bedroom 2: Bunk Bed with Queen Bed on bottom and Full on Top | Bedroom 3: Bunk Bed with Queen Bed on Bottom and Full on Top | Additional pull out beds provide more sleeping options in the family room.
THE HOME AND EVERYTHING IN IT IS BRAND NEW: mattresses, beds, dishes, pots and pans, furniture, appliances. It comes with a fully stocked kitchen making it easy to prepare and enjoy meals with your family. When you are ready to dig into your meal, bring the feast to the 10-person dining table, or out to one of the several options for dining outside including a picnic table near the children’s play structure. There is a new gas grill on the deck right outside the kitchen for those fans of BBQing their meals.
Every bedroom has a smart TV, and there is high speed Wifi available throughout the home. The master bedroom is large with a king size bed, electric fireplace and a beautiful master bathroom with a big bathtub to soak all your worries away.
The family room has a large sectional sofa, 75” smart TV and an electric fireplace.
In addition to the outdoor fun, there are great toys for big and little kids inside the home, including a selection of board games, as well as a Game Room with shuffleboard, pool table, foosball and air hockey game.
Please note there are two Arlo security cameras that record both video and audio. One is outside above the front door looking out, and the other is outside above the garage looking out.
LOCATION -
This home is set on a private and peaceful lot with ab beautifully manicured yard and large rare lawn, in a beautiful valley just a scenic 55-minute drive to the entrance gate to Yosemite (without traffic). Perfect for you and your family have your own private oasis in the woods.
The Resort is 37 miles to the hwy 140 Arch rock entrance to Yosemite, and 33 miles to the south gate Highway 41 entrance I alway suggest to my guest when visiting the valley floor to use the Hwy 140 entrance. the lodge is also a 30 minutes to Bass Lake, which is renowned for excellent fishing, hiking trails and warm waters. Wake borders flock to Bass Lake throughout the spring and summer as do boater, water skiers, paddle boarders, wave runner enthusiasts and more. In the map section of this site under the heading 'What's Nearby', indicates the mileage distance from this house to those listed locations. However, the distances are measured 'As the Crow flies', not driving miles.
Although the lodge setting is quiet and remote, it is a mere 15 minute drive to downtown Mariposa, 20 minutes to Oakhurst and there is a local diner/convenience store/fuel stop less than 1 mile away.
Just a short drive from the home you will find a little country store where you can pick up essentials you may have forgotten to bring with you and a casual cafe where you can get a simple but tasty meal.
Visit the little town of Mariposa, found less than 14 miles from the home. Spend the day strolling the historic streets, where you'll find museums, art galleries, shops, restaurants, and more. Check the calendar before you go, you might be visiting during one of the many festivals held here throughout the year!
The host lives nearby and can be available to answer questions during your stay and if you are interested she would love to introduce your little ones to her miniature pony Buddy.

Why they chose this property
We think this home is in the perfect spot! It's a great location, midway between Mariposa and Oakhurst. Both Mariposa and Oakhurst are great towns, but with differing amenities and feel. Mariposa, 10 miles away, is picturesque, quaint and smaller, with interesting museums and several good dining choices. It's the closest town to the west entrance of Yosemite Park and the famous Yosemite Valley. (The west entrance of Yosemite, along Highway 140, is 38 miles from this rental home.) Oakhurst, 16 miles away, is the closest town to the south entrance of Yosemite (The south entrance of Yosemite, along Hwy 41, is 32 miles from this rental home). Just inside the south entrance is the Mariposa Grove of giant sequoias and the Wawona area with its grand historic Wawona Hotel/restaurant. There are inviting natural river-swimming areas, pleasant hikes and the expansive Pioneer Yosemite History Center with historic buildings, carts and carriages on display, horseback and carriage rides, and a working blacksmith shop. Delicious all-you-can-eat BBQ picnics are served weekly on the lawn of the Wawona Hotel on Saturday evenings all summer. Oakhurst has additional amenities like a multiplex movie theater and a multitude of shopping venues, grocery stores and dining choices. It is also near the Sugar Pine Railroad (a historic full-size steam locomotive providing narrated family-oriented excursions through the mountain slopes plus a picnic and gold panning lessons). On the way home from the south entrance, visit picturesque Bass Lake (23 miles from this rental home), with its many sandy beaches, hiking opportunities, boat rentals and restaurants. Bass Lake water is a comfortable temperature for swimming in the summer
