Bill and I were both born and raised in the U.P., so we know the area very well. We have owned our house in Nahma for the past 20 years, and we are excited to be able to share our house with others. We live only a short distance away, so we can make ourselves available at any time during your trip if you need anything or if you have any questions or issues. We highly respect the privacy of our guests and will not disturb you during your stay. We take great pride in providing our guests with a warm & welcoming house!

Why they chose this property

Nahma is a historic lumbering town that was established as early as 1856, with lots of history. Nahma is located in the south-central Upper Peninsula of Michigan, located on the shoreline of Big Bay de Noc, Lake Michigan. There is a small bar/restaurant that serves lunch, dinner, and beverages and is only a short walk from the house. There is a public boat launch located kitty-corner across the street from our house. It has a nice launch area for larger size boats and also has a trail that has fishing piers to fish from or just sit and listen to the waves roll in. There is a fenced playground with a basketball court located a short walk from house. Approximately 68% (75,000 acres) of Nahma Township land is Federally owned, Hiawatha National Forest. Nahma is an excellent area for sightseeing, fishing, hunting, boating, kayaking, canoeing, jet skiing, snowmobiling, ATV rides, bird watching, hiking, biking, golfing, and so much more. Nahma is only a short distance from Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, Fayette Historic State Park, Palms Book State Park (Kitch-Iti-Kipi), Indian Lake State Park, Tahquamenon Falls State Park, Laughing Whitefish Falls State Park, Presque Isle Park, Seney National Wildlife Refuge, Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum, Oswald’s Bear Ranch, Garlyn Zoo, Tahquamenon Falls Toonerville Trolly Train & Boat Tours, waterfalls, lighthouses, and much more.
