Our cabin is situated on 3.5 acres, 3 miles from historic downtown Truckee. A gorgeous spot on the map ideal for adventurers, outdoor enthusiasts, families & groups of good buddies. Forest views, sun all day, trails out the back door. This 3.5 acre escape offers the best for moto, fishin', bike, hike, ski enthusiasts to historic downtown browsers, to foodies & barbecutionists alike. It is the perfect kickoff spot for roaming historic downtown Truckee where you can find live music, cozy bookstores, epic shopping, galleries, supreme dining choices. Then of course there's world class downhill skiing within 20 mins in the winter & gorgeous mountain lakes in the summer. Miles & miles & endless miles of fun to be had literally straight out the back door.

This is a charming home with clean and well appointed amenities. Sleeps 2 couples and 4 kids very comfortably (or up to 8 adults...very comfortable bunks, I swear!). You could easily squeeze in an extra kid or adult on the big comfy couch if needed.

The Master Bedroom has a fabulous European Sleep Design CAL-KING bed, smart TV, work station, and en-suite bath. The "Blue Room" also has a European Sleep Design QUEEN bed. The third room is the Bunk Room. The Blue Room and Bunk Room share a full bath. The bunk room has TWO TWIN BUNKS, smart tv, dvd player & board games galore so kids can disappear while adults do their thing.

The living room has Smart TV, Big Couch, Pac Man Machine++, Pool Table & a push-button gas fireplace. The living, dining & kitchen (all newly remodeled & well appointed) are of the open plan style & give the space a wonderful communal feel.

Be sure to enjoy your down time on the sunny & scenic deck for early morning coffee & night time dining. Hot tub calls you for aprés adventure (also for early morning coffee).

Our home is yours for fun with friends, easy turn-key escape for the fam, and an all-time blissful getaway.

Ski trip Tahoe 2024

Our stay was amazing! This house is awesome. We made good use of the pool table and the hot tub. We were skiing at Soda Springs and Boreal and the location was ideal. The owners are super nice! We will definitely come back if we can and absolutely recommend this place.

Great spot

This is a great place - close to town but enough removed that you can see every star in the sky from the back yard. The house was clean and tidy, and the property owners were very responsive. Private hot tub was used nightly - you just can’t beat those views.

Best rental I’ve had!

Betsy was so easy to get in touch with! Everytime we had any question she responded immediately. The house was so perfect for our family! Pictures don’t do this place justice! Just spectacular. The amount of space the property was incredible. We were able to go out and play in the snow and didn’t even have to leave to find a snow park for the kids. The house was very well kept and very up to date. I hope to make this an annual trip to the snow, and maybe even come for summers as well! Very excited to rent here again

Family snow getaway for a week

Absolutely loved our stay. Billlards, Pac-Man and spa all delivered. Also had sleds and an abundance of spices which made our trip feel like home. The email check in instructions varied from the app and the email was wrong. This made check in a little worrisome but we figured it out quickly. And they were quick to respond. We can’t wait to come back. Loved the updated showers which felt very nice.

Thanksgiving Break 2023

We absolutely loved the house. We stayed for 2 nights at the place. The house is very thoughtfully organized with all the things guests may need during the stay. Specially the common area. We loved the pool table. It was really the highlight of the house. The kitchen and the pantry are very well equipped if you want to stay at home and cook. Our host Betsy was very nice and quick to respond to all the questions we had. Overall, very peaceful and perfectly distanced from Truckee downtown. p.s : just like the other reviews, I would mention the house is actually much better than the photos.

Once you see it, you'll understand. It's simply a gorgeous piece of land. The opportunity to own 3.5 acres within the town limits where we could adventure & explore the gorgeous wilderness around was too dear to pass up. We moved in & made a home. It is bliss.
