Maui Government Approved Short term rental located in the Hotel District. Direct beach access to North Kaanapali Beach from building. This unique property has a PANORAMIC VIEW and everything you will need for a dream vacation for 4 people. The condo has just been completely renovated to become the most stunning state of the art condo in Maui Kai. The condo includes a magnificent chefs kitchen, new bathroom and shower, 75" TV with Sonos home theatre sound system, new furniture and brand new Tempur-Pedic king size bed , Spinning exercise bike over the ocean view!!

The MAUI KAI resort is the closest to the water's edge that you can find on Maui. We are just a few feet from the ocean and the beach, which stretches for miles. In the evening you can watch the amazingly beautiful sunsets all year round. From November to April whale watching is a highlight right from the lanai and for those who like to swim, there are often turtles a few yards from the shore.

BUILDING IS A NON-SMOKING BUILDING. Located on the fourth floor with approximately 860 square feet of living space,with central air conditioning. This unit has a 180 degree panoramic view of the ocean as well as the islands of Molokai and Lanai. The apartment itself is ultra modern and ideal for accommodating a family as there are two sofa beds aside from the bed in the bedroom. The lanai is enclosed with large sliding screens and windows, that open so that you can enjoy the view and the proximity to the. We can accommodate 2 adults and two children.

The Maui Kai resort is situated in a very convenient location, being close to shops for your everyday needs, and just a few minutes drive south to old Lahaina town, or north to the famous resort area of Kapalua. THERE IS FREE PARKING on the property!

Scenic Kaanapili coast retreat

Breathtaking views of the waters from Molokai to Lanai. A comfortable and well equipped condo centrally located for enjoying Maui. During whale season one can see from the lanai of the condo many Humpback whales roaming the area.

Great Views for Whale Watching

Wife and I had a wonderful time watching whales on the beautiful lanai right on the ocean. Beautiful sunsets as well. Would love to see this place after they do the remodel. Would stay definitely stay again!

Perfect location with stunning views!

This was a wonderful Maui experience. The condo was just as pictured, and the views were stunning. Nothing better than the sound of the waves crashing right outside. The well stocked kitchen was great for those times when we just wanted to cook and get on to our next activity.

Excellent condo

Thank you for sharing your lovely condo. The condo was very nice, clean, and well equipped. We enjoyed cooking several meals and had dinners watching the sunset. We highly recommend staying at this condo that was very close to everything: grocery stores, shopping, Maui Brewing, Whalers, and of course many beautiful beaches. We sure hope to come back many more.

All That We Hoped It Would Be

We had a wonderful stay at Maui Kai! The place was clean, spacious and felt like home. The view from our lanai was spectacular and being able to walk right out Maui Kai's front door to the beach was priceless. We snorkeled right in front of the condo and swam with a sea turtle and other beautiful fish. Jennifer was pleasant to talk and very helpful with everything that we needed. We hope to return one day! :)

The View Speaks for Itself!

The location of this unit can't be beat! The condo was quiet and peaceful and the view is breathtaking. We loved hearing the ocean waves all day and night. Close to local shopping market and restaurants. Kaanapali Beach in our opinion is the best place to stay in Maui. Prices were affordable and booking was easy. We would definitely recommend this to others. The condo could use some updating and a good cleaning but it was exactly as pictured and nothing compares the an ocean view at a GREAT price!

Perfect Maui Stay

We have stayed at the Maui Kai several times and this was on the back end of a 50th anniversary celebration in July. Without question, Barry and Rhonda's place is absolutely beautiful and they have thought about and included for just about every conceivably need a traveler might have for a stay on Maui, from the kitchen, to the bedroom, to entertainment, to going out and enjoying the beaches and restaurants of Maui, they seem to have anticipated it all. Oh yes, you cannot get any closer to the ocean and have a more spectacular view. From a communication standpoint, Barry and Rhonda were always available both before and during our stay. We could not have enjoyed our visit more and we would most definitely recommend their place to anyone.

Amazing Spot!

When we first walked into the condo, the view literally took our breath away! The view from the lanai, and pretty much any spot in the condo is absolutely amazing. We drank our coffee every morning, watching the whales and the sea turtles out front. Each morning we would take a left and walk about 4 miles on the boardwalk right along the ocean. We cooked dinners at home and the view beats any 5 star restauraunt. Great location, great condo and dealing with the owners was easy and everything was communicated clearly. The condo was clean, and everyone in the building was friendly. Highly reccommend this spot!!! Thank you so much for letting us stay!

Paradise!

This was our third time to Maui. All three times we have stayed at Maui Kai. The perfect location for snorkeling, whale watching (even from your room), watching the beautiful sunset and many other activities. The unit was very nice and clean. The bathroom was a little dated but still clean. The pool area is small, but does have a barbeque area if you feel like grilling. We did have a small problem with the battery on the key getting weak and we called Jennifer. She had someone out right away. She was very helpful with any questions we had. We can't wait to get back to Maui!

Wonderful Condo in Perfect Location with Stunning Views

My wife and I have stayed at this condo on two occasions, in the summer of 2015 to celebrate our honeymoon and in December/January of 2016/17 for our baby moon. Both times we found the condo to be the perfect setting to explore Maui. Located in Kaanapali, the condo's private lanai provides an amazing unobstructed view of the water and Lanai and Moloka'i in the distance. The bedroom, bathroom, living room, and kitchen are so spacious and exactly what we needed to relax. There are so many amazing restaurants and shops nearby. Our favorites were The Fish Market Maui and Okazuya - both within walking distance - and Bad Ass Coffee for our morning drink. Jennifer and Charlie were both amazing owners and so helpful while making the reservations as well as during our visit. We would recommend this condo for anyone looking to stay close to Lahaina but want some peace and tranquility. We can't wait to return in the near future!

Just wow

I can't begin to describe our entire experience at Barry and Rhonda's beautiful condo but I'll try. From the very beginning to the end, communication was exceptional and very thorough. The check in instructions and description of the premises and nearby attractions were the best we've ever experienced at any stay we've had. Nothing was left to chance. The place was stocked with everything anyone could need. I love to cook and the kitchen offered everything necessary to do so at a high level.Now to the best parts. The view and proximity to the shoreline was AMAZING. We saw whales on at least 10 separate occasions over 5 or 6 different days. It was truly magical. The entertainment center is exceptional and very easy to use. The shower head put out a wonderful and plentiful stream. Entry and exit were very easy. The place is very close walking distance to a food truck court, 7-8 great sit down restaurants and a super market (We highly recommend the The Fish Market Maui about a 1/2 mile north for some of the best fish tacos we've ever had).All in all, we don't have anything negative to say. The amazing condo we would recommend

This was our first and more likely our only trip to Maui. Our daughter found this condo for us. It was exactly what we wanted. We wanted that WOW factor! As you walk into the condo, that’s what we got. The bedroom was a nice size and decorated lovely. In fact, the décor was perfect for the Hawaiian feel we wanted and super comfortable, wherever you sat. The kitchen had plenty of kitchen utensils, pots and pans anything you could imagine to fix. It was great. The bathroom was great also. The shower had great water pressure and loved the overall look of the bathroom. You can’t beat the sunsets from the Lani. They were absolutely stunning. The Lani was a perfect setting to catch the morning breeze, lunch, and the amazing sunsets while having desserts, or drinks! If we could ever go again, we would want this exact place. It was beautiful and peaceful. Whenever we had questions Barry or Rhonda got right back to us. The pool area was great too, for families or just for two. YOU’LL love it!

Nothing short of amazing

First time on Maui and this was a surprise trip for my girlfriend, now Fiancé Yes...We got engaged while there! I cannot tell you enough just how amazing a stay we had in this unit. The location, the convenience and the views were to die for! The Whales were literally a hundred yards off of the lanai and the sunsets were epic! From scheduling, all the way through check out was easy breezy! The owners were easy to work with and available if and when needed throughout the entire process.The condo was clean, well equipped, everything was in working condition and the other guest and staff on site were friendly as can be. The only thing you need to bring other than your swim suits and flip flops are condiments and spices if you plan on cooking. Unfortunately, laws prohibit these items being stocked in the unit. Other than that, everything else is provided.My Fiancé and I are already planning another trip to Maui and we would not even think about staying in another place. Thank you J&C

Amazing View!!

My husband and I celebrated our 30th Anniversary at this beautiful resort. We visited from April 24 – May 1, 2015. From the moment we arrived we knew we made the right choice. We arrived in the evening with no problems whatsoever. The first morning coming out of the bedroom I was in awe! In awe of the beautiful view, on ocean’s doorstep! It is the very reason I booked this condo and the reason I will definitely come back. Jennifer and Charlie and daughter Polly (in their absence) were an absolute pleasure to deal with. They are trustworthy and I felt comfortable with all transactions. The condo was our home away from home. It was comfortable and very well appointed. We used the beach towels and chairs almost every day! The bed was very comfortable and the bedroom stayed so very nice and cool. I love to hear the ocean but if you are one who does not, the sound is blocked with the sliding doors closed. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub on a couple of occasions. It was clean and the Hawaiian music playing was a very nice touch. The barbeque in the pool area came in very handy. Front desk personnel, grounds keepers and simply everyone we met here were very friendly. The Maui Kai is truly a Hawaiian gem. Mahalo!

Clean unit, great water view, a few improvements recommended

I spent five days here and my overall assessment of the place is that even though it is a nice, clean unit in an excellent location with a breathtaking water view, I would go for a different option next time I'm in the area. As a whole, I enjoyed my stay, but rented a comparable one-bedroom condo on the water in Kona just a few weeks before coming here and thought that the other unit was a much better deal (and I'm fully aware that Maui is much more expensive than the Big Island). For just over half the price, I had: - No carpets in the living area (I'm not fond of properties with carpets, especially in a hot climate); - A better view (with blue water AND green vegetation; being right over the water - which was a little brownish in colour in front of this building - is not as eye-pleasing, plus you get blinded by the light in the late afternoon and sometimes feel like you're cooking when sitting in the solarium around that time of day); - A washer and dryer in the unit (there is only one washing machine - and two dryers - on the 4th floor, it will cost you $1.25 per load to wash and another $1.25 to dry); - A much better bathroom (the one is this unit is old, cramped and has no natural light); - A better lanai (outside as opposed to enclosed); and - Good cross-ventilation (there is a window in the bedroom but it is small and difficult to access). Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying this is not a nice unit, quite the contrary. The place was spotlessly clean when I arrived, it offers wonderfully quiet and refreshing fans in the solarium, living room and bedroom, central air conditioning, and superb linen and towels with a very comfortable bed. The building is very clean and well maintained, and there is a small community pool as well. So the quality is definitely there. But the following improvements would definitely make the place more appealing to me: - Updating the bathroom (other than the fact that it is cramped, the water pressure in the shower varies a lot from time to time and the toilet is unstable and needs to be properly anchored the floor); - Getting more drinking glasses of a normal size (there are tons of HUGE - plastic - glasses which I did not really use, and only a couple of decently sized drinking glasses); - Rearrange the kitchen so that there is more counter space - a little cramped at the moment; and - Provide a kettle (I know this is a coffee drinkers' paradise, but there are tea drinkers too).

Fantastic condo and trip!
