Perfect cabin for our stay

We were at the lake for a family vacation. This cabin provided some overflow accommodations. The cabin met all our needs. The goats are lovely. The hosts are kind and helpful.

Kids loved the goats

Overall we had a good time and enjoyed our stay. It is several flights of stairs down to the lake because the property is on a bluff. The pool is nice but more part of the larger home of the property not the cabin. There was an odd odor in the bathroom but the cabin was tidy and homey.

Chris, we apologize for the smell in the bathroom: since we are very particular about disinfecting in between guest visits, we had just bleached the white shower curtain. One of the best aspects of our property is that it sits on a bluff: it offers panoramic views of the lake and mountains from a lofty vantage point offered nowhere else around lake Tillery--with the exception of Morrow Mountain itself! It is always our hope that guests read carefully and understand the property description and photos.

Cute Place

Beautiful property. My daughters loved the goats and pool. Grocery stores and eating places not to far away. Robert is a super cool guy. Answered my questions with quick response. My only 2 things were the 178 steps to get to the water. Its a booger coming back up. Just a heads up on that. Not recommended for little kids. Caught a variety of fish from pier. My other thing was no TV in living room. Not a big fan of netflix either but its not the end of the world. Over all my family and I had a nice vacation there.

Sheila, thanks so much for your input...you're the first to mention the need for a 3rd television in the cabin, but we put one in today! We try to show accurately in our description how the property is laid out, and although the 130 steps down to the lake are a good little workout for most of us, most folks seem to feel it's worth the effort! Weekend Get Away

We had a wonderful stay. Everything was as described in the listing. The cabin was very clean and was ready for us when we arrived. We also enjoyed feeding the friendly goats that are in the pasture next to the cabin. If you are looking for a weekend get away your should stay here. Enjoy!

Poor customer appreciation

Yard was not mowed and debris laying outside. We cleaned everything inside the house per instructions and I still received an extra cleaning fee. Very poor! Also, the toilet paper holder was already broken when we arrived and I was still charged for that being broken. Very poor again! Will not stay there again unfortunately.

We hated to charge you an additional cleaning fee this time, but the greasy kitchen mess we found left us no other option. Of the hundreds of guests we have hosted, yours is only the third group that generated this extra cost.

Hiking adventure

The property was very clean and close to lake Tillery - yet no access to the lake. It was a quiet spot and had some neighbors. The host was easy to get in touch with and responded back quickly. Learned of a lot of trail head for hiking next time staying in this area.

Great place near the lake

The cabin was nicely furnished and well equipped. It was very convenient to hiking in the Uwharrie Forest, and we enjoyed the sunsets on the back deck. Feeding the goats next door was a hoot, especially when we offered them our vegetable scraps. The owners checked in with us to make sure everything was ok, and gave us some good tips about the area. It was a great stay!

Amazing Get Away!

This cabin was perfect in every way! The land was private with a gorgeous view of the pasture and woods. The goats in the pasture were precious! They came running each time we walked outside, and the cabin owner even left us treats for them. There was easy access to the boat ramp on Lake Tillery and close restaurants near by. The host went above and beyond with a thoughtful surprise for our anniversary. We’d stay again and recommend this adorable place to anyone!

Great little cabin getaway!!

This little cabin was absolutely adorable! The owner was very responsive and friendly. The cabin was very clean and tidy and just enough space for a family of four. My 2 boys LOVED the goats that lived on the property. I highly recommend this cabin and plan to return again!! We were just a few minutes from Stony Mountain boat launch which was great bc we fished the entire week.....this ramp was alot more private.

Wonderful Getaway, Super Clean

My wife and I required a place to stay near Tillery to visit some family over a long weekend. The hosts couldn't have been nicer or more accomodating. There was great communication and everything was very clearly marked and described. Check-in was easy and the cabin is just beautiful. The goats in the morning are an added treat. We will look here first on our next trip down.
