The beautiful Texas Hill Country surrounds this chic home. You'll be located one mile from Flat Creek Winery, an award-winning Texas winery that features bistro dining, wine tasting, and beautiful hill country views. There is a public boat ramp four miles down the road, and the nearest grocery store is in Lago Vista, just 11 miles away. This home is on a bird migration path, and you can see various beautiful birds come through. You're also just a short drive from Austin, the state capital of Texas and the Live Music Capital of the World.

You will have many amenities, such as an open-concept living area, a newly renovated (spring 2023) full kitchen with stainless steel appliances, a dining room table with seating for everyone, and plenty of room for the whole group. After a long day of discovery, sit on the patio or spacious balcony and grill dinner. The bathrooms were also recently renovated.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). Not a lake front property

It was once upon a time a lake front property. There has not been water here for well over a year, maybe two. We had to drive 45 mins to get to water. The stairs are steep and someone can get very hurt.

Things to be aware of

Outside: The main reason we booked the home was the picture of the water. There was absolutely no access to the “water” via dock & the water was low beyond low.. It was mud/ dirt to the left. Says water maybe low but it’s nothing. That’s was disappointing.. This is in April. The dock is broken like you can’t walk down to the water if it was there… dock area is not safe. Can tell it’s been this way due to lack of water there. The grill was used worked good. Nice outdoor seating in backyard and balcony. There is no fire pit. Inside : The stairs inside to the upstairs area are very steep. A/C system is great. The house was clean and well equipped for cooking and cleaning. Plenty stocked with toiletries. Update appliances.

Post-4th of July Vacay

Great spot. Remote / secluded area. Clean property. Check water levels if you're planning water activities nearby...it was too dry to do anything without driving 30+ min. Perfect for idyllic peace and quiet if you prefer to drive into town for entertainment and activities.

Nice property

Nice, clean newer property with updated furnishings compared to others. Definitely no water in cove, but the trees were pretty and it was fun to watch the birds. I liked the abundant windows and available ceiling fans. The stairs to the loft/third bedroom were uncomfortably steep for our friends. Since there is no bathroom upstairs, there seems to be a huge risk of falling down the stairs if sleepy and need to go to the bathroom at night. Maybe a circular staircase would be better and would not take up any more room. But the upstairs loft was very large and cute. Overall I liked the property.

The house was big enough for my family. We all had a comfy bed to sleep in. The back balcony/ porch was absolutely perfect for morning coffee. We fished off the dock, and fed the birds. It was pleasant and relaxing. My bday is close to Thanksgiving so we cooked up A proper meal and the kitchen was stocked. Only wish they had more comfortable living room seating. All in all, it was a great stay.

Relaxing place for a getaway

We stayed here with friends for a weekend in August 2021 and had a great time. The house was clean and organized and it was easy to find everything we needed to cook for ourselves which included using the outdoor grill. We enjoyed sitting on the deck by the water and taking in the sights and sounds. There's a lovely butterfly garden out back that we enjoyed. Quick notes: Wi-Fi was fast enough to use Zoom and my work VPN all day. Water pressure was fantastic. Parking was super easy. Never heard a peep from the neighbors even during the day. We saw some roadrunners and deer on the property. Overall this place is fantastic. Definitely somewhere we'd go back to for a relaxing time.

We enjoyed everything about the House. Construction on home right next door wasn't bad. If you like to run or hike in neighborhood look out for people letting their dogs out when passing by. Not very neighborly especially when you are the street no where near anyone's property.

Nice place!

The only mark against this property isn't really the fault of the property: the water level. However, everything else was great. The amount and steepness of the stairs getting into the front door and the loft area might be a concern for some folks, but are just fine for able-bodied folks.

Ideal spot

We loved our stay here. We thought it was the perfect space for five adults and not too far of a drive for dinner in either Lago Vista or Marble Falls. Water level and the location of the house on the cove was just right for kayaking. There are multiple outdoor seating areas, and there is enough space in the back yard for badminton and cornhole. We enjoyed watching so many different kinds of birds enjoy the birdfeeders and trees. Thank you for letting us enjoy this space!

Okay for adults during a nonconstruction period

Although the house was good, the construction next door was very loud the entire time we were there and started early. The beautiful pictures are also misleading as there isn't more than 2 feet of water around this dock and it is not on the actual lake, but rather a tributary to the lake. Also if you have young kids please know the stairs up to the loft are not really stairs but a fancy ladder-although the property provided "gates" that could be setup, if you have any toddler those won't help and even with other kids we had to help them each time. Porch and bird watching is nice when the sounds from the construction allow for some peace and quiet.

We had a good stay at the house. We had four kids with us. It had a grassy area all fenced in. We let them out and run around. There are a lot of stairs. This place is not for older people. The lake was way down so you had to walk down some steep stairs and rocks to get to the water. Once we got to the water we had fun jumping off the dock . Upstairs loft has 3 twins and one full bed. It was great for the kids. There were steep stairs to the loft. It is dangerous for small children. Overall, it had everything we needed for a nice weekend away.

Great Lake Spot for A Group!

We loved the Redbird Lake House! It was perfect for our group, we cooked out on the grill, had enough beds for everyone, spent a lot of time on the balcony deck, and even more time sitting on the dock and hanging out it the water. There was a full sky of stars our first night, which was beautiful and the place felt private and comfortable, I hope we can come back again in the future!

Great house — needs better cleaning service

This property is beautiful, has a great lay-out for a family with kids and grandparents in tow, and we loved the location on a quiet inlet of the lake. However, the house was not clean upon our arrival (crumbs, drips and hairs inside the sheets on multiple beds) and remained only “surface clean” after the management company sent the cleaning crew back in (cobwebs and dust built up in every hard-to-reach place and on surfaces like the bathroom door). This house is desperately in need of a true deep clean, and maybe a more professionally-run cleaning service, but once they get those kinks worked out, it should be a great rental. In the meantime, it is hard to relax in a house that feels dirty.

GREAT EXPERIENCE

The house was nice and clean well laid out. The only thing I would advise is to bring plenty of groceries to cook because you have to drive a far distance wherever you want to go. I love how secluded the house is though and the location on the lake
