We absolutely loved everything about this property, from the boujie coffee maker (seriously I have one on my birthday list now), to the thoughtful touches like personal items in the bathrooms. We loved the decks and the large family spaces inside too. 100% would book this property again
This house wss very nice and clean. The area and surroundings were so cakm and quiet. We loved every invh of it. The lake was a bit dry, but the description did say lake water level varies.
We loved the house
Beautiful place
Clean
Very organized
A deer came to visit every day so that was
beautiful
Me and the family had a morning walk and that was fun 😁
Enjoyed this amazing property and surrounding area with friends and family while attending a wedding in Spicewood. Couldn’t have asked for a better / easier process and stay!
House was perfect for our needs. The house was super clean! We live close by and needed more bedrooms for all the family that came for Labor Day weekend. Great location! Thanks for letting us stay in your home!
The house was very unique and set amongst beautiful oak trees. The walk to the lake was down a little road and not too far away. It was well stocked with basic necessities. We are very glad we stayed!
We stayed at the property for a family get together. My siblings and a few of their children stayed. There were ten of us total. I worried that we might be stepping over one another, however the property was spacious enough that this never became an issue. The property was well maintained and the wandering deer was an unexpected added delight. If you're looking for some peace and quiet and someplace to get away from all of the hussle and bussle, this place and area are highly recommended.

Not ideal for boat
Place is nice but there is no water in the channel that this house is in and with the lake so low the closest place to launch your boat is an hour way, defiantly not ideal if you have a boat.
The property is beautiful being so secluded and it’s wildlife. The listing is a bit misleading. There’s a bit of a walk to the water but other then that the communication with the owner, property, and home was great. Thanks!

Beautiful Lake home
Home and process were perfection. The post stated water was low but with messages was told could reach water still and home listed as handicapped accessible made it seem possible to drive to water which wasn’t possible at all. Home is worth every penny to stay but if water is the focus/ easy water access would definitely get more clarification before booking. Beautiful view
The pictures are from a long time ago there is no water at all at this house the drought

Property stay experience
Overall it was a good stay. Only the location and vicinity to lake water was not as shown in pictures.
Couple of points inside house
1. Shower water pressure was quite low. Other things were good.
2. We narrowly escaped an accident. While baking bread in oven, the bread caught fire, don't know why, may be the heat setting was not ok. When we noticed it we switched off the oven, but the fire continued and smoke was coming out from the top. we couldn't find any fire extinguisher in the house.
The oven inner glass shattered in that process likely due to the heat. Fortunately nobody was injured.
The property manager was informed, she said she will come there, but didn't turn up.
3. Our refund amount of $ 500 has been kept on hold. request if the same can be released. I am open to sharing the glass repair cost, though I feel its not our fault that the bread caught fire.
The interior of the home is clean and modern/updated with appropriate kitchen accommodations and conveniences.
We booked this property 4 months prior to our stay specifically for the boat dock it had. Explicitly asked property owner if we could use boat dock for our boat so it was known we were bringing a boat. Owner did not notify us until 1 day beforehand that the boat dock was completely dry. She also wasn’t able to give any recs on a marina in lieu of her dock or a place to even launch the boat. As of 7/6/22 majority of boat ramps are closed for launching and we had to scour Google/ call 10+ places to find a boat launch 30 mins away just to get our boat in the water. It was very clear on arrival the boat dock at her property had been dry for months (grass completely grown in and green under the dock as well as the boat the owners supposedly keep in the slip, gone). For the premium nightly rate we were paying the courtesy to let us know way ahead of time that the dock was dry and an offer to reduce the premium nightly rate would have been a given in my opinion. It cost us hundreds of extra dollars to launch our boat throughout the weekend, not to mention hours of extra driving to the boat launch and back. After speaking to neighbors of the property they indicated their docks closer to main channel had been dry for 4+ weeks. We were also told by them this is common for the property owner to not disclose and two other renters had spoken to them with the same complaints very recently. Overall the listing needs updating to reflect there is no water or usable dock, furthermore no access to swimming/ boating nearby this home.
— The pictures shown on this listing are NOT THE CURRENT REALITY! And the owner will let you spend your hard earned money on a “waterfront” and “lake access” rental…only to get to the house and see the dock is sitting on GRASS! Yes, she cannot control the water levels on Lake Travis. But she can sure control the pictures on her listing!! Or let innocent renters know the real situation beforehand! This is 100% FALSE ADVERTISING!
— Ok, maybe you don’t really care about actually going into the lake while you’re staying at the house because you think you’ll have some really nice views while you relax on the deck. NOPE you won’t! You can’t even see the lake from the deck. ALL you see is trees! And absolutely no breeze from the water so it’s stifling hot on the deck. Save your money and rent a cabin in the woods…it’ll be the same experience and much more affordable!
— So, you don’t mind that the lake is dry and this owner’s pictures are lying to you. And maybe it doesn’t bother you that you can’t see the lake from the “waterfront” house. Well, I bet you when you take a shower, you’d like to have warm water… NOPE, not at this house! The downstairs shower had no hot water for our entire stay. We told the owner and she came by and raised the temperature on the water heater. Didn’t work! It only made the shower that our friends were using upstairs scalding hot.
— Some other things that just make this place a loser. The ceiling fan in the downstairs bedroom by the deck did not work, so we had to move to a creepy back bedroom. Susan did bring a floor fan to the house when she adjusted the water temp, but we had already moved to another bedroom. Spiderwebs and spiders all over the place. You’d think with the mandatory exorbitant cleaning fee…it would be spiderweb-free house… NOPE again!
— This was just the most infuriating experience for us and our friends. We tried to resolve our concerns with the property owner (Susan Pollo) and VRBO, but their response to our valid claims was laughable. They are getting away with fraud. Please, please do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else!
