Located atop one of the highest privately owned mountains in North Georgia, this 2 king bedroom 2 bath Sliding Rock Cabin in Ellijay, GA cabin offers BREATHTAKING VIEWS of miles and miles of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Hike the National Forest Service hiking trail, with a lovely waterfall. Afterwards soak in the hot tub under a star filled sky, so private that bathing suits are optional. In the morning gaze out over the blue sky, while sipping freshly ground coffee on your private enclave off the loft master bedroom, or just rock your day away on the covered porch. At night, cuddle in front of the large wood burning fireplace with a glass of wine and watch at old movie. For those who want to get away from the stress of life, Nativa is definitely your place. This property has a generator for your comfort when Mother Nature is fiesty. PLEASE NOTE CANCELLATION POLICY BELOW.

This cabin is accessed by private mountain roads that aren’t county-maintained. For the smoothest arrival, and for preservation of the roadway, the Road Committee recommends 4-Wheel Drive, with All-Wheel Drive as a minimum.

In rural Georgia, power outages are frequent! Our cabin has a full house generator which provides all the comforts of "home" should the area experience a power outage during your stay.

Cancellations, rescheduling, or changes must be submitted in writing and confirmed received by Sliding Rock Cabins® more than thirty-one (31) days prior to the original check-in date in order to receive refund, less a Sixty Five Dollar ($65) cancellation fee. We had a wonderful time! The cabin is adorable! We relaxed on the porch swing, spent time in the hot tub and did some antiquing in town. One of the most important things to us is that the cabin was very clean! We will definitely be back!

If you love seeing stars, get down to the grassed area by the fire pit and you'll se them all. Sliding Rock & Nativa can't be beat for a dog-friendly & people soothing stay in North Georgia.

The view is probably the most beautiful we have had, and we have stayed at several other Sliding Rock cabins. The road up to the cabin is a little rough, but the directions were excellent and even though it rained the entire time, we had no problems getting to and from the cabin. My only suggestion would be a little more light inside the cabin would be helpful. It was almost impossible to read in the evening. The upstairs bed was very comfortable, and overall it was an excellent experience. Don’t hesitate to visit Nativa!

If you know the road to the cabin is bad and you’re prepared to either endure it or bring enough food for your entire stay, you will enjoy this cabin. If you are expecting a large fenced area for your dogs you will be disappointed. Also, don’t expect to take walks on the road. Way to steep. Great place for quiet and seclusion.

The recliner was a lifesaver for me as I’m a lung transplant who has trouble sleeping in a bed. The view was marvelous and we could see the torrential rain we had for two days, lol. Very dog friendly place. The road to the cabin can only be described as “verrrrrry interesting “. We felt sorry for the folks who knocked on the door at 10:30 at night who were lost trying to find their place. Our GPS did work all the way up. We loved it and would definitely rent again if we are in the area again.

A great view that, unfortunately, is becoming partially blocked by tree and vegetation growth and could use some attention. Facing in a southerly direction, it is protected from direct sun on the lower porch (In late June), a plus. The cabin was clean, the linens were of good quality. It was apparent that the owner could refresh the odd selection of glassware and china. The cabin is served by what is probably DSL internet access. If you need cable speed, this one does not deliver that. Lastly, walking required one to be in adeqate physical shape due to the topography. As always, Sliding Rock Cabins was awesome - responsive to communications, polite and professional in every way.

Fantastic views and location, however entering the driveway is always an adventure even for someone who's been here a few times. Main complaints: Overall cleanliness was pretty poor. Top of refrigerator was caked in dust as was the AC return in the living room and the downstairs bathroom had numerous old cobwebs and light fixture had dead bugs in it. Grill is in poor working order, but grilling is always a treat at this home. The beds are extremely comfortable and their pet policy is fantastic. Office staff responsive and always lovely to deal with, especially GM Kathy and Julie

View is everything.

We loved this cabin. The drive up and down the mountain is pretty steep and bumpy takes about 12 ish minutes up and down.considering it’s a dog friendly cabin, they clean very well and love they provide the sheets to cover any furniture. My only complaints were small things they need to do for maintenance like the blind sticks missing, the recliner is on its last leg and there’s most likely mold in bathroom downstairs that should be addressed. Our family thoroughly enjoyed this cabin!!

Had all supplies we needed. Our two dogs felt right at home and were able to use the fenced yard. Only recommendation is to be sure you bring a vehicle that can climb steep hills, as this is at the very top of the mountain! We were in a four-wheel-drive, so we did OK. Just be aware.

Overall visit was great for a recharge and the cool weather and hot tub were a great combination.

The only downside is the commute from the main road to the cabin. The dirt/gravel road is in bad condition, some are4as are extremely hard on the vehicle suspension.

Outstanding

We brought a Christmas tree, battery operated candles, wreaths, and lights. After decorating, it felt like staying in a Christmas card. The bed was very comfortable, and the heater worked very fast. There was a meteor shower during our stay that we watched from the hot tub, which was an amazing experience. The only thing we could’ve complained about is that the hot tub cover, and that part of the deck were covered in bird droppings, not just a little, but so much we wore gloves to remove the cover, and stepped directly from shoes into the tub. I tried to clean the cover, but the droppings were too dried on to clean without soaking.

Perfect Getaway

We drove up from the Atlanta area late in the day, so our drive was mostly in the dark. Though the last few miles were a dirt mountain road, we took it slow and had no problems. My husband only had to put the truck in 4WD to back into the driveway (because our nose was pointing downhill at that point). We chose this particular cabin because the deck was completely enclosed off the ground, so we could take the dogs out and not have to worry about them getting by a barrier or something. Though we packed our own toys, dog bed, treats, and bowls, the cabin had all of those things. They even provided gates to block off areas as needed to help contain the pups. Side yard was fenced for bathroom breaks, so it was very convenient. Again, would absolutely book another stay here. The view was amazing, and the cabin and hot tub were clean.

Nativa is our favorite and even noticed some upgrades since our last visit. Views are amazing and it is very quiet and private. Cabin even had a backup generator which came in handy when we lost power in a storm. You won’t go wrong with rents from Sliding Rock!!
