COVID-19 information: Even if you have booked a reservation, it is possible we could have to cancel it to follow VT regulations surrounding short-term rentals. If we have to cancel your booking for anything COVID-19 related, you will receive a full refund. We are leaving a minimum of 48 hours between renters to allow for the property to sit vacant for 24 hours after renter departure before our cleaner comes in, and then another 24 hours after our cleaner leaves before the next renter arrives. You may need to quarantine during your visit, and we can provide you with options for curbside-pickup groceries. Anyone who has symptoms of COVID-19, or has been in close contact with people who have symptoms of COVID19, will not be allowed to rent and will receive a full refund. Please send us a message if you have any questions. If you are interested in a longer term booking, please reach out to discuss.
Lovely year round rental with lots of natural light, located on the big pond of Joe's Pond. This two bedroom cabin is close to the water with big windows, natural pine details, and beautiful views. A wonderful and quiet spot to relax and enjoy the outdoors. Take a kayak ride, enjoy backyard access to a 22 mile biking/walking trail, swim, sit quietly on the porch, and/or enjoy other attractions in the Northeast Kingdom like skiing, hiking, or mountain biking.
This property has been in our family since the 1940s - originally it was just the main camp, and then a one room cabin was added. The cabin was recently renovated and expanded to be a four season house with two bedrooms. It's located at a dead end, across a footbridge from the main camp. Enjoy a covered porch with a large lawn and small beach area. The living space has large windows overlooking the lake, and the kitchen is open to the eating area and the living room. There is a large upstairs bedroom with a small deck overlooking the lake and a downstairs bedroom with three sets of sliding glass doors, also overlooking the lake. One bathroom with stand up shower. Kayaks, paddle boards, and PFDs are available. Backyard access to a 22 mile biking/walking trail, short distance to tennis courts and a playground, and resident loons to watch and listen to. Unique local places to eat and drink! Joe's Pond is a decent sized body of water, but small enough to still be peaceful. Kid friendly and childproofed!
You will have full access to the cabin, two swimming areas, and a dock. There is a second house on the property (the "main camp") that we use personally as well as rent out. Two kayaks and a stand up paddle board are shared with us or renters at the main camp.
We live out of town but use the second camp on the property, so we may or may not be around. If we are there, we'll be doing our own thing but would love to say hello now and then to make sure your stay is as comfortable as possible. We are always available by phone or email to answer any questions.
