Lovely year round rental with lots of natural light, located on the big pond of Joe's Pond. This two bedroom cabin is close to the water with big windows, natural pine details, and beautiful views. A wonderful and quiet spot to relax and enjoy the outdoors. Take a kayak ride, enjoy backyard access to a 22 mile biking/walking trail, swim, sit quietly on the porch, and/or enjoy other attractions in the Northeast Kingdom like skiing, hiking, or mountain biking.

This property has been in our family since the 1940s - originally it was just the main camp, and then a one room cabin was added. The cabin was recently renovated and expanded to be a four season house with two bedrooms. It's located at a dead end, across a footbridge from the main camp. Enjoy a covered porch with a large lawn and small beach area. The living space has large windows overlooking the lake, and the kitchen is open to the eating area and the living room. There is a large upstairs bedroom with a small deck overlooking the lake and a downstairs bedroom with three sets of sliding glass doors, also overlooking the lake. One bathroom with stand up shower. Kayaks, paddle boards, and PFDs are available. Backyard access to a 22 mile biking/walking trail, short distance to tennis courts and a playground, and resident loons to watch and listen to. Unique local places to eat and drink! Joe's Pond is a decent sized body of water, but small enough to still be peaceful. Kid friendly and childproofed!

You will have full access to the cabin, two swimming areas, and a dock. There is a second house on the property (the "main camp") that we use personally as well as rent out. Two kayaks and a stand up paddle board are shared with us or renters at the main camp.

We live out of town but use the second camp on the property, so we may or may not be around. If we are there, we'll be doing our own thing but would love to say hello now and then to make sure your stay is as comfortable as possible. We are always available by phone or email to answer any questions.

Wonderful winter getaway
My family stayed at Caroline and David’s property during Presidents Day weekend. What a lovely home! The cabin was immaculately clean. The views of the lake were beautiful. We loved sitting in the living room taking in the spectacular surroundings. The cabin is about 40 minutes from Burke Mountain and we were able to enjoy a great day of skiing. Three Ponds restaurant is about 5 minutes down the road and was a great spot for dinner. I would highly recommend the cabin in winter, and can only imagine how beautiful it would be in the summer! Caroline was very communicative and helpful with the checkin process and any questions we had. Thanks for sharing your home with us! Can’t say enough good things about this spot.

Restful get-away in late October
This cabin is charming, comfy and cozy. It's clear there has been extensive remodeling and the finishes and design of the cabin are beautiful. We stayed in late October, just past the peak foliage season and it was lovely and very quiet.

Could have stayed forever.
Peaceful and relaxing. The house was perfect for the two of us. Plenty of room. NO TV was awesome. Made me realize just how relaxing it was to sit and watch the surroundings around the lake. With it being fall we didn't get a chance to use the lake, but were able to do some walking around the place. Caroline was a great person to work with. We definately would go back.
