lovely place to stay, in a great area
We really enjoyed our week in Villa la Colline, it was comfortable and well equipped, the gardens and balcony were lovely extensions to the space and the village is well located for lots of great places to visit. David and Ghislaine were extremely welcoming and helpful. Highly recommended.

David and I thoroughly enjoyed your visit. You were wonderful guests; wishing that Eve did well on her exams !
David and I hope to see you at another time.
We had a wonderful stay in David's holiday home. We especially made use of the wonderfully sized swimming pool during the French heat wave! David was a lovely host and certainly went above and beyond for us. The location was perfect for with trips to Nimes, Arles, Avignon and Tarascan all in easy reach, as well as Uzes where we had some delicious meals. Thank you David.
Beautiful view, privacy and a swimming pool in a small rural village. It was very peaceful and relaxing. The house is well equipped with what you'll need. The garden is beautiful and you feel very secluded.
David is very kind and helpful.
We live in Canada but have talked about returning to this property because it's so idyllic.
Strongly recommend. Great for families.

Our favourite place in France!
We have stayed here in Serviers et LaBaume with Ghislaine and David 3 times and plan to visit again later this year. The house is very comfortable, great bed, and the kitchen well equipped and the views from the terrace are sublime. The property accesses the promenades and grandees randonees out the back door and there are seemingly endless sites and walks and villages to visit in the area. Uzes, the most beautiful small town in France is just 5 minutes away with great restaurants and shops and a lively market twice a week all year. David and Ghislaine are marvelous hosts. Couldn't be better!

Fabulous!
Two weeks well spent at this quiet, clean, lovely and sunny gite. Well equipped kitchen, comfortable living room with fireplace, TV, CD player and doors opening onto the sunny terrace. Spacious bedroom and comfortable bed. The village is charming and a good start out spot for the many wonderful grandes randonnees in the vicinity. Uzes itself is one of the finest small towns in France, beautiful historic sites, great market, and very little modern sprawl. Cannot recommend it too highly; hope to go back soon.

A gem of a holiday home!
We had a fantastic stay here. The house is very comfortable with satellite TV, internet, a well equipped kitchen - everything you could possibly need! The two bedrooms are spacious. One of the highlights for us were the mosquito nets on all windows.
The patio overlooks the valley and offers stunning views, especially in the evenings. There is a sheltered patio out the back with lighting.
Ghislain is a conscientious hostess, on hand when you need her but very discreet at other times. It was wonderful to have access to her laundry room and in the heat (35 degrees) all our washing dried in minutes.
The Pool is utterly brilliant - sun loungers, parasols, private and clean. Exclusive use for the guests which is something that is often promised but never followed through.
The local town of Uzes is marvellous - some lovely restaurants but we actually ate mostly at the house as it was so nice.
We would most definitely recommend this house!
We loved our stay with David so much that we selfishly do not want to share how great it is for fear that if this hidden gem is uncovered, availability will be impossible :-) The cottage has literally everything we needed (plus things we didn't even think we needed) and is the perfect location -- the serenity of life in the countryside, with the conveniences of many large grocery stores, bakeries and gas stations close by. The next village is a mere 2 kms away with an intermarche and a small plaza with a variety of shops. Uzes (a gorgeous town famous for its twice weekly produce markets and all the stores and conveniences you could need) is about a 10 min drive through treelined country roads from the cottage.
The cottage itself is quiet and cozy and decorated in a stylish mid-century vibe. Views across the valley are breathtaking and you wake to the sound of birds chirping. The house has two gates, which gave us a lot of confidence that our little one was safe to explore the many levels of grounds and gardens that the property offers - while we enjoyed coffee or breakfast on the large terrace that overlooks it all. Beds are comfortable, with beautiful linens and the dresser in the hallway is filled with board games and activities for the whole family. The house was spotlessly clean and there were so many little details that showed how much care was taken in its upkeep.
David is an excellent host -- as available or discreet as you wish. He lives on the same property, but down the hill in another house beyond a beautiful grove of olive trees. He came by most days to make sure we were warm enough (we were!) and that we had enough firewood. He also gave us great advice on nearby day trips, provided a lot of wonderful conversation and even helped us get the perfect Christmas tree.
Since COVID has meant every holiday this year has been in France, we have been to many cottages across the country. This one was among the best experiences -- we cannot wait to return! We highly recommend this cottage. Thank you to David for a wonderful winter vacation.

Lovely garden with outstanding view over valley, comfortable and well equipped inside, quiet and relaxing. Host David Greig was charming and helpful. Highly recommended.
It’s not an exaggeration to say that we felt like we were in paradise from the moment we entered Villa la Colline. The house was spacious and light-filled, the grounds were beautifully landscaped, and the views from the terrace looking across the valley were just gorgeous. We’d planned to eat dinner in Uzès but spent most nights on the terrace instead, soaking up the sun and enjoying those serene views. The kitchen was well-equipped, and the sofa and bed were extremely comfortable. The pool was lovely as well, and completely private. Best of all, David was a kind and generous host who welcomed us with a bottle of local rosé, grapes from his own vines, and a jar of homemade fig jam. It was a wonderful relaxing stay for us, and we’re already planning our return for next year!
Charming traditional house wonderful garden and large pool
David is the perfect host. He has provided us with everything we needed. The house is lovely, very clean and well equipped. The garden was my favorite spot and my sons have enjoyed particularly the pool (large enough to swim!). We have also visited the surroundings and there is a lot to do at more or less than one hour (the sea, the mountains and everything between!). The only regret is that we couldn’t spend more time (minimum two weeks would be necessary to fully enjoy the location and the area!). Many thanks David for everything!

Merci beaucoup David! Raphaële et Jean- Pierre.
The property has a very homely feel to it. The views are great and it is in a very quiet location. Pool is great and not overlooked. There are numerous areas to sit around the garden so you can always be in the shade or sun depending on your preference. The owner is available if needed and nothing seemed to be too much trouble. We really enjoyed our time and left very relaxed.
We had such a wonderful stay at David's. The pool is gorgeous and superbly furnished, the house has everything you may need (the array of kitchen "tools" is so great, especially when all you want to do is be at the house and cook your own meals as the setting is so gorgeous!), the beds are comfy, the views and location are perfect. It was just great. Best of all is the subtle but detailed and generous hospitality of David who managed to prepare everything we could want for an infant (cot, high chair, toys, etc), and generously shared his garden produce and was available for any question or query, while also giving us all the space in the world. The proximity of the supermarket and the short hop into Uzes are not exaggerated. Thank you again David, it was a lovely experience staying with you, and we really hope to be back.
